Character Development Thread--Discussion

I'm back from limbo. My transition to a work environment is a bit more hectic than I anticipated and is pretty mentally draining. Couple that with a generally burned-out feeling and you get what happened to me for the past week.

Anyways, KC, sorry for the long delay. If I don't think I'll be able to post consistently I'll be sure to have Naoko exit the stage.

Maybe I'll do that sometime tomorrow then. Chances are, they'll be near the beach, or the harbor area in general. It makes sense in-thread, plus it can draw attention to a spot where potential newcomers could potentially arrive in the potential future.

After mulling it over some more, I've decided that I'm definitely withdrawing my characters from the current threads. I will continue posting for the library plot and maybe for the Inn staff, but that's it. I'll go back to participating properly for the next thread(s).

May or may not post farewell posts for the characters who are leaving.

That's the character I'm putting by the beach. I left my last post with her kind of open-ended, since she'd just be doing a bunch of things by herself if no one fell into her path, and no one did, so now, solo stuff done behind the scenes, I'm putting her back into a more public space.

Sorry to hear that, but... priorities and all that stuff. Hope you find some way or some thing to sort out whatever has you down.

Damn, Archipelago's starting to seriously run short on writers. I'm still inclined to feel that it's not working well enough to really want to join myself, but maybe I'll try PMing Tera Chimera and Blackfire 667 to see if they'd be willing to start over with some new characters since their plotline pretty much died.

Sincere apologies for the delay — I had hoped to be a frequent poster, but it's been a crazy week at both work and home, leading up to our housewarming party tonight.

Snowy, KC, I just want to make absolutely sure you guys (as well as everyone else considering joining) are aware of this- I brought in Castle Boreas with no plans whatsoever, if anyone's just biding time until I unfold some sort of plot. You guys are directing the 'plot', not me. I'm ready for it to go exactly like Vince wants it to go, like the coffee shops where the Enlightenment happened, I'm ready for it to blow up like last time, as well as everything in between.

I mention this because it seems that the whole place is riding on this dissection that's engaging all of two and a half out of eight characters, four and a half out of ten if you count Cecille and Lazzaro, and boring/disgusting the rest into silence.

Unless this is intentional. I do sort of feel like a plot's brewing.

Edit: Sorry to be really indecisive, but now I'm thinking that I'll continue onwards with Saya in Archipelago. Hayate and Kaguya are definitely gone, as are my non-staff members in Inn.

My character Oswald is about to become available (unless Killer Clowns wants to make use of the character he's got stationed in the Tea House), but he's just a little out of the way. He'll probably go back outside in my next post if nothing else happens.
