Sorry I seem to have disappeared, guys. I was sure my character wouldn't like being in the middle of a loud fight. I think he's been checking in at the hotel. I'll come back in soon.

@maxwellelvis: No problem, that Big Kahuna scene got pretty complicated, too. And no rush, everyone's pretty busy right now anyways.

@Night: Fine by me, real life always has to come first. Good luck with everything! Also, do you just want Forsythe and the Robot to disappear into thin air (as is commonly done for quick departures), so Takuya can go do something else?

All right, that's done. I'll probably have to leave for my evening class before I can post anything though, so I probably won't be able to respond for 3-4 hours.

Before anyone asks, I don't have any plans for the typhoon in my latest post, except maybe as a conversation topic for Kaguya and Cyana. Don't expect it to actually have any impact on the thread as a whole (unless everyone wants it to).

She's probably still about. There's a chance I'll be back soon.

I finished my last two finals today, with the only thing remaining being a short paper on an easy subject (which I'll do tomorrow), so I'm essentially free for the summer. And by extension, I'm free to put the finishing touches on the new thread (not that there's much left to do at this point).

The ETA for launch is about the middle-to-end of this month; besides the fact that the thread's not done yet, it's still probably a better idea to wait until everyone else has more free time.

And since I'm posting here anyway: I wasn't trying to say that Kaguya could see the Archipelago from the moon; quite the opposite, actually. I did word it a little oddly, though, so it's my fault.

Good to hear! I ought to be mostly done with my finals by then too. Unfortunately I'm taking a math class this summer, so my time's gonna be clogged up with that just a bit (specially since algebra, beyond the basic stuff, is Chinese to me)

In other news, I made another drawing with surprising speed (started just yesterday evening) of Joe as he appears at around this time in the thread.

I'll be posting soon. I actually was awake at 5:26 (PST) when KC posted, and meant to post then, but uh... I hadn't exactly been sleeping before that.

But now I'm done with schoolwork for the time being and I can get to writing.

I'm going to be really busy for most of tomorrow; I'm going to be at my sister's commencement from 9 AM to 2 PM, and then eating dinner with my grandma. Don't know how soon I'll be back.

When I was writing my last post, I kept wanting to have Kunstler say something or otherwise acknowledge Joseph, but then I remember that he isn't supposed to be nice. It's odd to find something like writing someone who isn't nice to be a departure.

Unrelated, but in the past, I've heard some people mention characters that are incompatible with the CDTs, and I never even understood how such a character could exist. I've noticed that whenever I'm deliberately aiming to write someone who is supposed to be intelligent/competent in some area, they never come across that way to me because I can't come up with something intelligent for them to say/do at the pace of the typical CDT. Hell, I don't usually notice I should have had them do X instead of Y until weeks after the fact. But considering that Vince is usually hit the heaviest with this, I'm considering trying something new with him whenever he appears next.

I've also had an idea for something that would amount of a redo of Character Castle, which featured a facsimile of Vince's home/laboratory, in the form of a setting thread. Granted, there's no possible way I'd be able to keep up with it, but now I'm thinking it would realistically end up being the size of a sub-area in Archipelago. Only it would basically be a highbrow version of Azatha's fortress, with French-pressed coffee for the stimulation of intelligent conversation, fine decor, and chats with a god.

Who knows. I'll basically be free after Wednesday for a couple weeks, until I start my summer courses. Alternatively, I'll just try Vince out in the upcoming ryokan casual thread-whatever it's called or something. But it's 4 AM, so maybe I should go to sleep because I have an exam on Monday to study for.

Sorry for not posting at all last night; decided to go to bed early so today would be less of a hassle. It still took a lot out of me, though, so I'm probably going to grab a nap first before getting to work.

In other news, Inn is more or less ready to go; the map's ready and I'll (hopefully) be writing the OP tonight. The last thing that needs dealt with is the launch date.

I'd like to launch it as soon as possible since it really has been a while since we've had a new thread; however, it's also exam season and so the next week or two is likely to be quite busy for some of you. As it stands, the current date I have planned is this upcoming Friday (May 16). Is this a good time for everyone, or should I hold off a little longer?

I'll be done with my exams this Monday, so a Friday launch would be nice. Gives me some time to catch up on sleep and video games. You know, important stuff.
