Doesn't that bar any really young characters immediately?
Bet you didn't see that comingWell, a lot of threads did that anyway.

Well everyone could get drunk. That would be fun to watch.
Bet you didn't see that comingI think that the ability to incorporate all possible characters can be a little overrated. Maybe Dig Site did limit its potential cast too much, although I think some of that was, bluntly, a failure of imagination on the part of writers (I'm still baffled at how Tehpillowstar couldn't see any reason why an amoral corporate executive would be interested in valuable, possibly magical ancient artifacts). But on the other hand, I think the serious threads do work better if they have some theme or feel, and if that means that there are certain types of characters that work better, so be it. That's why we have the casual threads, after all.
Anyway, it's just an idea I'm throwing out there. I always felt like the setting in Heist deserved better than to be shackled to a railroad plot and subsequently crippled by interpersonal drama.
Yeah you have a point, besides underage people really do restrict the amount of shenanigans that can go on without your character being a total amoral ass.
Though Tamara is hilarious.
I wouldn't mind it to say the least.

Bet you didn't see that comingTechnically and hypothetically, a character being under a certain age doesn't have to limit the kind of drama that can occur in a thread. There are and can be kids who are tough and/or sociopaths, as well as very vulnerable, prudish adults with the emotional fortitude of a kitten. Besides, there's sex and drinking going on in Mansion despite Tamara being there... A threesome was purposed while she was in the same room! If this were a video game, it would probably already be rated M. lol
Nonetheless, I'm glad someone's enjoying my writing! Tamara's pretty fun to write for.
Not entirely dead.Sven has no shame, what can I say. Still though, "Are you dead"
Actually thinking though it's not like we can't let underage characters into casino, if we bend the laws of physics we can certainly bend laws. I suppose it would create quite an interesting rift considering some characters would fit in quite well, while others would huddle in the corner looking at the mess in front of them.

Bet you didn't see that comingSorry for disappearing all of a sudden from Mansion; I had a rough couple of days.
Just floating around...I'd just like to point out that both Bianca and Wylfing completely ignored Grimhilde.
Normally this would be the part where I'd suggest one or both characters should politely amend that, but I something about her introduction and context tells me Grimhilde's reactions to being so blatantly ignored will be... entertaining to behold in action. (For me and other CDTers, anyways. For Bianca and Wylfing, not so much.)

Hey, Clowns? You wanna do that thing we talked about last night in Mansion?
Just floating around...Can't think of a reason not to.
(For context: Yuki was looking kind of lost, and the thought of her, Franklin, Alice, and Anita if Tidal is still around bouncing off one another sounds like a recipe for hilarity. The addition of Talbot and Donavon to this equation was an unexpected but very welcome bonus.)

I'll set the scene up.
Just floating around...I'm still here.
Waiting for Killer Clowns to come back to do that thing. We spoke a little last night.
Just floating around...Uh...
/me checks PM box.
Sorry about this, but thanks to sleep-deprived-me, there appears to have been a bit of a miscommunication. Since I'm sort of wasting company time right now, I will clarify when I get a proper chance. For now, though, don't wait on me, just have Yuki do whatever.
Goddammit, sleep-deprived-me, why can't you be more like drunk-me? At least drunk-me never posts on non-anonymous internet forums.

Yeah, Imma have Abeiyuwa head back downstairs in my next post.
Will the whole meet-and-greet thing go on for the rest of the thread?
Aqueos, did Linza just disappear from the thread or is she actually somewhere else in the Mansion?
yeyI think I'm about ready to join Mansion, but I've got a few last questions. Specifically, where and how are new characters supposed to appear? This is the sort of thing I prefer to handwave, but I'll need at least some information to serve as a base.
Also, has there been anything established about the mansion that isn't listed on the trope page?
Finally, has anyone moved since the last list in 13754?
Pillow, are you still here?
Well, first thing a character of yours will see in the entrance hall: Bianca and Wylfing standing on the stairs heading up, Yuki and Anita somewhere else in the same room (not clear where). Feeling too lazy to check the rest of the rooms right now. And there's no standardized way for folks to get here, such details have mostly been ignored.
I had her exit to her world, she's using the ritual circle as a sort of signal booster.

Bet you didn't see that comingI'm going to bed, I'll respond sometime tomorrow.
Note to self: Pick less edgy username next time.Sorry about not posting, I've brain-drained on attempting to. Will try to do so early tomorrow.
Nous restons ici.
On the subject of unnecessarily in-depth plots and things we've done before... how about Character Casino?
