Uh...dunno, I like the DOS era, but the modern PC era isn't too bad either due to the proliferation of good PC Indie games and good PC versions of AAA titles.
"Hipsters: the most dangerous gang in the US." - Pacific MackerelMy three favourite game series were on the Gamecube (or had some representation on it at least). Gotcha Force, Animal Crossing, and Pokemon. So Game Cube has to be my favourite.
However, the other consoles of the gen were pretty kickass. Play Station 2 gave us Kingdom Hearts and X Box gave us... Uhm... Something, probably. Halo is the only thing I can think of at the moment, but shooters have never been my favourite genre.

DOS: Somewhere from Circa 1980's-Circa 1996.
Modern era I personally define as 2007-Present.
"Hipsters: the most dangerous gang in the US." - Pacific MackerelI used to define "modern" as 1996 or later, but that's probably insufficient now. Maybe 2001 to the present.
I like the NES era.
It Just Bugs MeAnything between 4th gen (SNES, Mega Drive, TG-16, etc.) and present day, really.
http://twitter.com/raydere | http://raydere.tumblr.comI don't know what my favorite gen is, but for some reason I doubt it's this gen, and I'm not really one for nostalgia so that surprises me.
I don't know if this has been asked before (probably), but I didn't see it (feel free to lock this if this topic already exists), but what's your favorite generation of consoles or PC games and why?
