Marik's eyes widened as he looked at the results on his omni-tool. Impossible... Clearing his throat, he said, "Cap, would you prefer if I tell you the results in private? It's kind of personal..." Yeah, just a little bit... He gestured to a closed-off room at the back of the lab.

-Jeko follows Marik to the back room-
"What is wrong doctor?"
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jXkI1sTDoEgMarik sighed deeply as he projected an image of the large tumor he had found on his omni-tool. "Cap, I'm really sorry to have to tell you this, but I found this inside you. It's too large and close to vital regions to safely remove at this point." Why didn't you spot this earlier, "Doc"?
Support Gravitaz on Kickstarter!"Marik, spit it out, what the hell is it doing?"
-Jeko sighed and sat down-
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jXkI1sTDoEgUna got a bad feeling about this. "Come along Mazzy." She said, motioning for Isaac to follow her. He obliged, if he hadn't seen her in action, he probably had heard the stories. Regardless, there was something about the tone in Marik's voice that made her uneasy, to say the least. Still, the Doc knew what he was doing, she was fairly certain.
Liveblog | DeadblogMarik sighed again.
"It's a tumor, Cap, and it's growing exceedingly fast. Damn, I wish I had found it sooner. It's too late to remove it now, and it..." He choked up a bit. "It will prove fatal within the next few weeks. I'm sorry, Cap."
Gotcha, changed it.

Support Gravitaz on Kickstarter!-Jeko looks at the ground, and then at Marik, his eyes glazed over in shock, then he sighed again-
"Marik, this is between you and me, don't tell the rest of the crew"
A few weeks to live, not a week
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jXkI1sTDoEgMarik nodded, willing his eyes to remain dry.
"Of course, Cap."

Support Gravitaz on Kickstarter! When the Mess Hall is emptied Jake starts walking towards the Simulation room "Let's see how I will place on the Score list today."
"Marik, its not your fault, ok. I'm 28, my body giving up on me and im not surprised. Your a good man"
-Jeko sighed and walked out of the room-
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jXkI1sTDoEg"Thanks, Cap."
Marik remained sitting in the room for a little while, silently berating himself.
This time, it wasn't even in a firefight at which you weren't present. This time, it was a medical issue, something real Doctors should be able to find and take care of. This time, it was Cap.
Support Gravitaz on Kickstarter!Kate had been busy in an archive, looking through it at any data pertaining to her past: Who she was.
As normal, her strange music choices filled the room - This time it was Killer Queen.
Curse the ill fortune that led you to me.The rest of the mission had flown by in a blur for Jordan. He was still somewhat worried about Kate so he decided to head to her room.
Which he did. In casuals, he headed over and politely knocked.
"Seven is here too, dressed like the concept of choosing clothes that look nice together was an arcane secret far beyond their grasp.""Huh?"
Kate looked through the door. She hadn't been expecting anyone. And she was conscious she hadn't changed out of her armor. She opened the door to see Jordan there.
"I'm glad it's you. I wanted to talk to you before anyone else."
Curse the ill fortune that led you to me."Figures. What with all this shit I figured I might as well play the pillar." He walked into the room. "Might be a dumb question, but how are things going?"
"Seven is here too, dressed like the concept of choosing clothes that look nice together was an arcane secret far beyond their grasp.""A matter of perspective."
Better to leave it there. Von Geist couldn't expect the alien to understand why he did what he did. Though they were both doctors of one sort or another, they couldn't be more different. Perhaps they both operated out of a sense of common good, but the turian would simply never appreciate his motivations. He was too lateral minded.
The arrival of the others gave him an excuse to leave. The salarian was stable, after all, so it wasn't as though he'd be leaving his work half finished. At this point, it was up to Marik. The burden of failure would pass to him if something happened to the patient. Von Geist could live with that.
Making for the door, "I have matters I must attend to. I shall be in my laboratory if I am needed, though it would be very pleasant to remain undisturbed."
He couldn't have them thinking he was going soft on them now, could he? It wouldn't be right.
Without any further adieu, he was off, intent on undertaking one sort of research or another. Something to satisfy his intellectual palette.
"Well... I don't know who I am anymore. I mean look here , I was born Abigail Holt. I come from Amaterasu. It's a complete change to everything I ever known about myself. Am I Katie or Abby?"
"And he wasn't lying; They were Cerberus scientists. They gave me up to the Pragia facility. They made me a biotic and they trained me to kill."
Curse the ill fortune that led you to me.Jordan was speechless.
"The fuck?" was literally the only split-second response he could come up with. He needed time to think and he didn't think he had the time. What a Catch-22.
"Seven is here too, dressed like the concept of choosing clothes that look nice together was an arcane secret far beyond their grasp."Deimos, having no work down in the battery, found himself wandering to Una's booth.
"Hey," he said, a small smile on his face. "What are you reading?" he asked, looking down at the novel.
Nothing to see here. Move along."Quite."
She looked over her shoulder at the floor. "I don't even feel like a real person any more. Just always somebody's plaything, to be discarded when they're done with me."
Curse the ill fortune that led you to me.Jordan's brain was quickly organizing and re-organizing facts. It would be more like a CIC than anything else: taking info in about the surrounding environment and his current status, and reorganizing it, putting emphasis on certain things over others. For now, he decided to play it simple and play it cool.
"You'll be Katie to me." He embraced her.
"Seven is here too, dressed like the concept of choosing clothes that look nice together was an arcane secret far beyond their grasp."Lucas exited the sim room after what seemed like an eternity to him, no closer to the answer but no worse off either. He needed to figure this stuff out, and he couldn't do it on his own, at least not now. He recalled Deimos' advice on speaking with Marik about the mattter, and decided that right now that might be the best option. It certainly gave him something to do. So, off to the Med-Bay he went.

-Jeko coughs up blood again-
Ok, fine. Its been pains in my chest.
-Jeko waits to be scanned-
Jeko is not feeling very good, and has the salarien equivalent of cancer, and has a few weeks to live, this is part of his character
