It'll be okay.

You say that you thinking that leaving would be best for everyone, but that's not true. It wouldn't be good for anyone. It's hiding from a bigger issue, that we want to help you with.

EDIT: I need to go out. I'll be back in a couple hours. -hugs everybody-

OK, since this arc needs planning even more than Rt AU (though if we're going with the "Start Rt AU in December but keep Kanjoh going" option, we can afford to take our time WITHIN REASON)...

PEFE Exploration

But wait, what's a peefee and how are we exploring it?

It's The Pokedex Extended Fanon Edition - or rather, WAAPT's in-universe organization based on it. More specifically, it's PEFE HQ, an unbelievably massive building located on an ambiguously-located island in the Sea Of Kyogre.

...What is there to do there?

More than you'd think. (This was probably one of the main hindrances in planning earlier - people weren't sure what was there.)

Paraphrased/copypastaed form the log...

PEFE HQ is a giant open underground facility in a remote island, with a lot of techy stuff going around. The place itself is built as a compartmentalized system, where modules can be shifted and moved around via a special railing system. Think Johto Safari Zone, only 188% more awesome, and with SCIENCE.

Now, modules can contain various stuff, mostly related to research. There's of course accommodations and residence for the personnel as well. Some of the modules are habitats conditioned for various kinds of Pokémon. They contain small populations that are essentially wild, thanks to the size and resilience of the place. (One of those habitats at least has been shown to have a couple of fields separated by hard!glass panes and stuff, and in one of those fields for example there is a Victreebell population who nommed some silly Pidgey.) Some of our characters's mons (EG: Mine) could also be living there, in accommodations that so far have gone mostly unexplored onscreen. Some of the other habitats comprise storage and cargo of containers and stuff. Presumably there's separate places for supplies (eg.: food, mostly) and tech that is going to the outside (Pokéballs, etc). There is a LOT of experimental technology lying around, which could be a potential plot hook. There are even some modules used to store and contain technology that was left there when the HQ was taken from Pokefutures, an evil Megacorp. Probably    evil    kinds of experiments and tech. Those modules would be fairly secured, although once the power goes out there's not much of a problem.

The cave the place is build around opens to an even larger cave system where Kyogre goes to rest sometimes. Pokémon are allowed to work and hang out somewhat in the storage and control modules. There are also conference modules where the staff gather to... well, conference. At least one of those has an auditorium. There's also Tangent's office. There is also at least one airport module conditioned as a helipad, and zeppelin docking is a thing. There's also a rec room and sports modules for things like Blitzball. :P There's even sections just for the J-Team.

And presumably, there's even more stuff waiting for you - yes, you- to discover it, or even make it up if you run it by the group first!

OK, so where's the plot?

That is something that needs more working out... Here's what we have so far.

An alternate universe's version of PEFE (Or Evil!Goggles or something)    steals    ALL the generators! This causes a massive blackout, which affects the entire PEFE HQ, but doesn't shut it down completely. (Possible plot point: At the same time, some universe-displaced Scolemis Goons get lost in the HQ, including one destined to help beat the Dragons.) The group must then help get PEFE HQ back to full capacity (and possibly find Chekhov's Goon in the process).

So, if we're going to do this, we need maps of at least some modules. Anyone with any sort of drawing capacity is free to contribute as many maps as they wish. Relevant wiki articles could also use some expansion, and we can use PEFE-B (which has been explored) as a reference.

So... Any questions, suggestions, and ESPECIALLY general plot or subplot ideas (I have a couple) are greatly appreciated.

Personally, I've always had the idea of the various wild Pokemon breaking out due to the outage, and causing various problems in the building. Also, I imagine it might be more interesting if the people that are going to investigate are already in the building when the power goes out. This would leave them in darkness, or barring that dim lighting(Since there's probably emergency lights).

Well, you could stop by the chatroom. Or you could go check out the WIP wiki here: http://waapt.wiki.tropi.us/wiki/Main_Page

The wiki contains info on how to join also.

I'm not sure, DS. I'm sorry.

My best suggestion really is that everyone (and I mean everyone) helps out as much as they can, and if you start feeling stressed, just step away for a few minutes, to get some space. That usually helps me feel better. -hug-

Not sure about this, but I believe some people have made some comment about not being entirely sure where everyone is at times. To try and reduce this, would anyone be up for creating a list of everyone's current positions, likely put on the Wiki if it ends up happening?

Not sure how often it would end up being updated or if it would help any with interaction, but would anyone be interested in having this made?

Important:

Silent would like to remind all of you that we have a current events page on the wiki that could be used as a way of telling who is where providing that we show it a bit more love.

I would also like to remind people that our wiki has a page for Current Events in the sidebar, which just got an update today after not being used since August, and we have the Recap page here, which has not been updated since July.

IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT

Alright, I feel like I have been really stressed out and grumpy lately, and causing meta drama and picking on DS... So, I'm gonna take a break soon. Until the week of Christmas or Rt AU, whichever comes first.

Now, I don't plan on just dropping out until then... I want to get a few things done before then. Meeting Rex's new PC, establishing an in-universe reason for the absence, and canonization of Arikrome (the last one is happening sooner than intially planned for the sake of a longer hiatus).

I will also leave Pidgin and Xabber on, and be open to TVT P Ms. I will follow Discussion, but will avoid the main thread and chatlogs unless someone wants to bring something cute, funny, awesome, or most of all IMPORTANT to my attention. Which I would appreciate if you all did.

So, thanks for understanding, and once the break officially starts, I will be happy to RP with you all again come week of Christmas / Rt AU.

Umbra.

I could have Amber take Xu. As Lenore is going to start hanging around Remy, who will be getting a bigger part.

I'm having to learn to pay the price

That's okay, Umbra. I can understand things getting stressful at times. I'm still waiting for a good oppurtunity to take a break from the RP myself, but I keep worrying about missing out on oppurtunities for telling the stories I want to tell... But, I haven't been able to interact with as many characters as I hoped even when I've tried, so maybe I should just take a break regardless...

PSA: Creative, Social and You.

Lake: <Hi. I'm Lake the Feraligatr from the popular Play-by-post game, We Are All Pokémon Trainers.>

Stratus: <And I'm Stratus, from the same topic.>

Lake: <Today, we'd like to talk to you about the use of the two main chats associated with WAAPT, and their proper use.>

Stratus: <There are two main chats: Creative and Social.>

Lake: <The former is for discussion of WAAPT itself along with creative endeavors such as Fan-fiction, Fan-Art, that Pokémon Class you teach at College, or those ice sculptures that you've been working on so diligently.>

Stratus: <While Social is for talking about everything else, such as Pizza, Chocolate, Soda, French Fries...Mmm...>

Lake: <Dad, you're drooling!>

Stratus: <EEP! Sorry!>

Lake: <The problem is that recently, Creative has seen a lot of discussion that would suit Social better, while Social has been going without much use at all, and the problem with this is that all the off-topic discussion is making it harder to talk about important R Ping matters, as well as reading the logs to find anything relevant that may have been discussed while people were away.>

Stratus: <To better get our point across, we've prepared these two scenarios to help you better understand the issues here.>

The Right way to use Creative

Treeo: <Hey, I think the Return to AU Arc could use some more planning. Could we work on that, please?>

Comet: <Sure!>

The Wrong way to use Creative

Treeo: <Hey guys, can you help me wi->

Woolly: <Did you guys see the latest episode of Valiant Knight Skarmory?! I couldn't believe it when it turned out the Truck was still alive after he fell into that crusher in the last episode!>

Treeo: <Uh...>

Lake: <As you can see, off-topic matters only get in the way of planning important things for the RP.>

Startus: <BUT! That doesn't mean we don't want to discuss these things with you!>

Lake: <That's right! We'd like nothing better than to talk about the things you like with you. Which brings us onto another issue.>

Stratus: <When peoplemons go off-topic, we eventually ask them politely to take it to social. But more often than not, nobody takes it to social and just takes it as a sign to stop talking about it instead.>

Lake: <Not only do interesting topics that we would like to talk about get suddenly dropped, but Social ends up going almost entirely unused.>

Stratus: <Observe...>

The Right way to use Social

Unite: <Did you see that ludicrous display last night?>

Flare: <What was Wenger thinking sending Walcott on that early?>

Unite: <The thing about Arsenal is, they always try to walk it in!>

The Wrong way to use Social

Kricketune: *Chirp noisily.*

Stratus: <Far from ideal, wouldn't you say?>

Lake: <The point we're trying to make is, we do want to talk to you about off-topic things. When we say "Take it to Social" we don't mean "We don't want to talk about it." We just want to discuss it in a more suitable place.>

Stratus: <So to sum it all up, when you want to bring up something potentially off-topic in Creative, ask yourself this: "Would this be better in social?" If it is, let peoplemons know that you're talking about it in there and see if they want to join you.>

Lake: <That way, you get to talk about what you want without having to worry about potentially disrupting RP planning or discussion. Everybody wins!>

Stratus: <And that's all we have to say. Stay cool, peoplemons!

...So, did you see Valiant Knight Skarmory?>

Lake: <Yeah, I totally did not see that plot twist coming.>

Stratus: <I didn't even think that the Truck being Valiant's Father could even be possible! Shows what I know!>

(TL;DR Version: Try to keep off-topic conversation in Social. We do want to talk about these things, just not in Creative where it could potentially get in the way of RP planning and discussion.)

Not to take attention away from the Public Service Announcement, but...

A mess of text about Rt AU dragon attack plans:

For Silent's plans, Blackthorn will probably be on the side of the dragons. Now the question is, would they likely try and take Mahogany, New Bark, or Violet from there?

And are those who are against the Dragons going to use Snowpoint to their advantage, it would probably be somewhat on the priority list for attacking and wouldn't be the best place for the dragons to try seizing anyway

As for where the dragons try attacking, would they try focusing more on getting them a better place land-wise, or trying to prevent humans from taking back/using ports, communication centers, and things like that?
