So an update on what's been going on with lil' old me since... Whenever I disappeared for a while

Smash Bros

I'm officially the 4th best player in my state (if it doesn't take you there immediately just look at the PR RJ sheet)

I've also been approached by the leader of some (still small) eSports organization who wants to recruit me for it after seeing my performance at the latest tournament I went to (where I got 3rd). I'm not a part of it yet but there's a pretty big chance I'll be joining it.

I also became a member of the Smash 4 Backroom which basically means I'm one of the people who helps to make meta stuff such as the    tier list   

Fanfiction Hole

For those who don't know or don't follow me on tumblr I'm still very deep into Undertale hell and so I have two fanfictions of it, an one-shot and a chapter fic, both linked on my signature, but also with FF.Net links

Though I'm also planning to write at least one Overwatch fanfiction because Genij/Mercy gives me life.

Speaking of which

Overwatch

I suck terribly at this game yet I can't stop playing it because I just like Genji far too much. Lúcio is up there in my list too but Genji is a ninja and you know how I am about ninjas.

Unfortunately I don't think I would be able to really play with most of you people very well, at least not without causing some ping increases.

Therapy

I have no idea if I ever mentioned this but I do therapy now in order to try to become less of a socially awkward person and well... It's progressing, very slowly, I think. Maybe.

The bright side is that my therapist is also a bit of a geek and so I also started a trend of each time that I go there I go with one of my fandom shirts. Sadly I'm running out of those shirts

Pidgin

Lately I've been hanging out in a bunch of different chatrooms. 3 on Discord and 3 on Skype, so I kinda my attention super split between places and having to keep hopping through chat programs was a bit annoying and so I kinda stopped using Pidgin since I basically only used it to talk to you guys and I often even forget I still have in my computer. Sorry about that.

My 3DS and Pokémon

My 3DS is finally allowing to actually buy stuff from the shop again so I can actually buy S/M when it releases! As ironic as it may be I might end up actually getting Pokémon Sun instead of Moon but what can you do right =V

This also means I can play some games online on the 3DS again, such as Smash Bros now that I can actually update games again.

So yeah nothing has changed much with me I just haven't really been keeping up with you guys because I'm too popular distracted with having to deal with a lot of conversations at once in different chat services.

I'd be up for trying some Overwatch team matches at some point... In theory. But I'm pretty terrible as well (I haven't even gotten to ranked), and it seems like I can never manage to actually have enough quiet time to be able to play something that I can't pause.

And I'd be up for trying Discord but I knew we're already entrenched with current chat methods

Glad to hear you're able to get gen VII! I was worried that wouldn't happen. Getting Moon version personally (it fits with my pattern of picking cold colored versions and the fact I react poorer to sunlight than some, though not as bad as my Mom)

The waapt discord getting more use would be okay with me since that's pretty much my main chat client right now.

Fun fact: We have a discord. It's not official in any way, but Verax set it up originally for a WAAPT D&D group, and it exists. So.

That would explain why I've never heard of it. I'm not participating in the D&D due to overcrowding (and probable schedule issues).

I'd be up for mutually being terrible at Overwatch with you, Moon.

And a good thererapist is a good thing to have. By the way, just had a good conversation with mine over the phone tonight and it helped enough I can trust myself to post here occasionally when in a good mood until I see her in person again next week.

I almost never play Overwatch ranked mainly because I don't wanna have to deal with salty teammates more than I already do lol

I just remembered, what was that Trello thing that was brought up in here earlier being used for? Was the just Umbra-plotting stuff and the 2017 meetup thing?

I have no idea what it can be used for though I remember hearing it's a useful planning/notemaking tool

It is! It sets things out into boards you can use to outline, schedule, and plan stuff. I can dig up the join links later if you're interested.

Sadly though it's not able to be used as a chatroom.

I might be interested in taking a look at the program and trying it out for planning WAAPT stuff in general, or just making notes for my own worldbuilding project that eventually might evolve into an amateur original writing or web comic (or video game if I actually decide to try making games instead of just considering a career making art/graphics for games)

Not surprised it doesn't have chat though.

I actually just got Gamemaker Pro (the software that was used to make Undertale) from a Humble Bundle sale, so with some help I might be able to experiment with that myself.

I got that bundle too, though I didn't have any specific plans for it beyond "Hey, 15$ sounds like an awesome price for experimenting with game development". I hadn't thought of the possibility of making a game out of my world-building project until just before I posted. It was originally supposed to be for a web comic, but I'm still waaaaay in the "learning how to draw" stages IMO. (Though I hear webcomicing is a really good motivator for forcing oneself to continue practicing and improving. If you don't let it die that is)

I might be willing to share some of what I've got bouncing around in my head with people sometime, but since it doesn't have anything to do with WAAPT or Pokemon^note so far it mostly draws on elements from Skies of Arcadia, Girl Genius and Final Fantasy: Crystal Chronicles, though it's supposed to be an original setting I'll try not to clutter up the discussion with it too much.

Also in other news, I'm driving out of state to meet up with some friends I haven't heard from since before I joined WAAPT. So I'll likely be out of town or in Utah Fri-Sun. No solid schedule yet except I've got to be back to work Tuesday morning.
Dunno if I'll bring my laptop or just have my phone yet.

I've got like... Three different non-fanfic WI Ps (for those that know/remember a timeline-hopping superhero epic, a reconstructive Affectionate Parody of D&D-style fantasy, and a tale of gods vs. aliens) so I'd be happy to swap notes on your setting privately.

I worldbuild all the time and then proceed to do diddly-squat with all that worldbuilding, so feel free to bounce ideas off me or something. (for the record, various settings I've fleshed out in enough detail to kickstart an RPG campaign off of include: 3 sci-fi, of varying hardness and tech level, one 'classic' high fantasy, one fantasy similar to Ebberon, but with more guns, one steampunk, one superhero, but more in the vein of Worm than e.g. the Marvel Universe or the DCU, one post-apocalyptic amalgam of sci-fi and fantasy, one Sengoku-Jidai-era-japan In SPACE!, and probably more, if I trawled through my Google Drive and documents folder.)

Also, I vaguely know game maker from a class I took once. So feel free to bounce code issues or "how do I do this thing in Game Maker" off of me, too, if you end up going that route.

Fun fact: My username is a corruption of the name of the demon equivalents in the fantasy setting. ow the edge.

(Said demon equivalents are a variant of the same race as the angel equivalents; both start live in a larval and then pupal stage, the adults being shapeshifters whose true forms are always some sort of Mix-and-Match Critter.)

My name derives in a roundabout way from Ishtar, though a number of different settings (mine and a friend's), before arriving at it's present form. The more you know.

My username comes from the Scottish Gaelic lessons I took in school (yep, Gaelic language classes are a thing here in rainy mountainous nowhere). For the curious, "Uilleam Dubh" (the "dubh" vanished at some point) is pronounced "Weeləm Doov" and translates to "Black William". I have no idea what I was thinking, as my name isn't William and I am very white indeed.

As for settings in my head, I'm the kind of guy who spends years mentally worldbuilding without ever taking notes. If anyone really wants to waste their time on my ideas, I could finally do up a primer on some of my ideas.

My username's from a very old joke involving strawberry flavored things amongst some of my friends in school. It's been a while and I don't exactly remember what it was, but it's where the origin came from. My secondary username The Strawman came from the strawman concept and my usual shorthand of Straw. Only reason it has numbers sometimes is because of a change I had to make in school regarding username/password requirements and it kind of just stuck.

My current handle is me making a fake Latin name based on the Genus Corvus and the species/subspecies name of the American Lion because a previous name 'Felis atrox' became kind of a family in-joke. I also considered Corvus Hyemalis, based on the species name of the Dark-Eyed Junco, but decided against it. A variant I use in some places, Corvus Ossifragus, is based on the Fish crow, whose call I enjoy especially.

My username comes from the fact that 'zeal' is a cool word. So I made a username containing it.

My user name comes from the first RP I was in that wasn't a one-on-one with Zeal. Also my first avvy.

My Username is in reference to a name I have given myself to be anonymous. And the oxymoron of silence that somehow echoes.
