I saw mention of the game while lurking in the logs, and it sounds pretty awesome! I'd love to give it a try but sadly my laptop is still awaiting repairs so I'll miss the inaugural event, but I might be getting it back Friday or Monday depending on how the mail cooperates.
There's also the fact poverty is biting my lazy butt and I can't afford the simulator, but theoretically I'm working on that

That's okay, you can just lurk moar and listen to us debate over the batshit insane stunts we pull. But when the lappy is repaired it's going to be fun having our sessions up on the tubes.
I'm having to learn to pay the priceI have 2 questions, one to the weekly event and one about WAAPT in general:
So, is this WAAPT-Players only or can the EA guys drop in aswell?
The thing I wanted to know about WAAPT would be the question what your stance on fossil Pokémon is? I mean in game there's only one you can get (mostly) but in the Anime they seem to be more frequent. Is there room for one fossil-Pokémon in a Playerteam? Or is it possible to aquire one as the game continues on?

"One may feel fear in the face of danger so long as one banishes fear when danger actually arrives"Fossil Pokemon are generally treated like any other normal Pokemon.
I would prefer it for EA people to get more settled and more familiar with the regulars first before joining MNS! tbh. That doesn't mean they have to be playing at the time, just a common enough presence in the chat.

I'm having to learn to pay the priceI think the only thing about fossil Mon is just that you can't catch them wild (otherwise they wouldn't be fossils).
But other than that nothing wrong with having more than one in your sign-up team or digging up a couple to revive after you've joined.
Also looking forward to seeing you in the chats whenever you get to them =)

@Sergey: What everyone else said. You can have as many Fossil Pokemon as you want, so long as you find the actual fossils themselves or acquire an egg of one, and you can have them on your signup team as well.
(Do note, though; fossilmons that aren't specially bred to deal with such things - especially ones rezzed straight from fossils - are more vulnerable to illness and get severe indigestion from most foods not specifically made for them. In addition, fossilmons rezzed straight from actual fossils remember their past lives (somehow) and are prone to behavior problems due to coming from a time when there were no humans or Trainer battles or The Vow.)
Also from all your votes I'll be opening Cynthia -> Pohatu -> Chrom -> Lucina. :P

Contact Me!Okay, guess if anything I might get one later in the game. My roster is more or less full now either way (I'm planning to start with 4 Pokémon)

"One may feel fear in the face of danger so long as one banishes fear when danger actually arrives"Now I just gotta set up my capture card so that I can actually record gameplay from my computer and we'll be able to post our silly shenanigans on the internet for all to see.
Oh yeah and I need to get the game too.
Hurray! A chance for me to actually make use of Tabletop Simulator! Count me in for Superfight.
Do not fear power... fear those who wield it.Maybe not today, but next week might work for me. Depends on how long this AI paper takes to write...
I get off work at 23:00 CDT (UTC-5) so if it's still going when I get home I'll be getting the tail end of it.
Superfight sounds like so much fun, though I am unable to participate with my current situation. Hopefully I'll be able to start joining you guys sometime over the next couple months.
Oh and today I'm really busy, so I won't be able to RP much, if at all...Sorry Bacon.
That's fine.
Life happens.
Good luck with what you're doing!

what do you mean I didn't win, I ate more wet t-shirts than anyone elseI can't participate, as I don't have a Steam account, much less funds on said account. Sorry.
off the shitsI can't make it a regular thing, but I might catch a game at some point when you do it. :3

It's clearly a case of backroom political albumizing.I sadly won't be joining this week due to me not having Tabletop Sim installed.
But it'll be done by next week, hopefully, at least :P
Ugh. Fine I'll join.
Is Mumble free?
GIVE ME YOUR FACEMumble is free, yes.

I approve, if my vote counts for anything.
off the shitsIt does, Daydre. Don't sell yourself short as a member of WAAPT!
Gah, this is really difficult!
Okay, carry on, everyone.
what do you mean I didn't win, I ate more wet t-shirts than anyone else
While this has been discussed in both Mumble and Chat (to an extent), I think it's a good idea to make a post in the thread outright just to raise awareness
And Now For Something Completely Different.
Ladies, Gentlemen and Non-Binary Maestros. After two days of intense discussing and me giving you schmucks bad ideas, I present to you probably one of the first big "WAAPTers" multiplayer gaming event:
MONDAY NIGHT SUPERFIGHT!
Now the first and most important question: "Pippi? What is this new game you're talking about? I, for one, have never heard of it yet I am intrigued to play a multiplayer game with the weirdos and creeps of WAAPT"
Glad you asked.
Superfight! is a card game akin to Cards Against Humanity or Apples To Apples with a superhero twist. At the start of the game you are dealt three white cards (Which are the superheroes) and three black cards (which are the superpowers). The first player plays two cards - one white and one black - that are their chosen hero and superpower. However, you must also draw a second black card which is the characters secondary power. This can range to anything from "Having the Seven Dragonballs" to "Being Amish".
The next player (counterclockwise) to the initial player follows suit, playing their chose combo of black and white cards and drawing a randomized black card in order to craft a hero most suitable to trump the current champion (or just be silly). By winning two in a row (usurping the current champion and beating the next challenger) you win an Awesome point, scrap your current hero and craft a new one to be beaten. There are also Blue Location Cards and Purple "Asspull" Scenario Cards that can be drawn after the black and white cards by a neutral party which can rapidly change the tides of battle.
Naturally, things get really weird and silly very fast. Here is an example from a test run Sixth, Verax and I played earlier.
This game is played through the Steam game Tabletop Simulator, and can host up to eight players at a time. Hopefully this can be a weekly event, and Moon has said that he will lovingly record our sessions so you can watch up debate, flip tables and all that good stuff.
Game length depends on the amount of points needed to win and the amount of people. Generally the amount of points needed to reach a win is 3-5 (again, depends on how many people play) due to how fickle the win conditions are (as mentioned, you have to win two battles in a row)
So Pippi, I am interested. What do I need?
But if you ask nicely Verax may be able to shout you a copy ;)So, why is this here?
This is mainly to both raise awareness and drum up interest in the possibility of a fun, weekly event we can have as a group. As mentioned, only eight people can be on a server at a time, so if it becomes real popular we may need to rotate out or shuffle players between rounds. As for now, I know I have at least six people interested in playing tomorrow (Verax, Tangent, Crow, Moon, Sixth and Myself) so the shenaniganary will be beautiful.
I'm also posting this here to get a good idea of WHEN it should start. Using Australian Eastern Standard Time (Sydney, Canberra, Melbourne) I was thinking either 10/11 AM or 1/2 PM (Possibly a happy medium at 12 PM). But I want to run it by you guys for what time you may think it's suitable to host the event.
So thoughts? Ideas? Anything that needs clarity? I thought this would be a fun, nifty thing to do from time to time and it seems to have support~
