Dead Rising 2: Off the Record

Now now, people, let's wait and see if they undergo Defeat Equals Friendship, like Isabela in the first game.

I thought that in the trailer that introduced (sigh) Uranus Zone, it was implied that Stacey was going to be Frank's Mission Control too.

I don't really see Stacey as a Psychopath, but this is Dead Rising...

Maybe she is the mission control, and then is revealed to be a psychopath, especially since it's called "True Colors."

Also, does Chuck have a beard in that picture? This reinforces that this is an alternate universe.

No. Dead Rising 2: Off the Record has three "levels" with an untimed sandbox. Every Dead Rising before had a timer.

I was so disappointed in the Infinity Mode in the first game, but then I was also disappointed that the second game didn't even have a mode like that. I just wanna kick back and wreak havoc with whatever I come across...

It seems that neither Stacey nor Sullivan really like Frank. Although the latter's opinion doesn't really matter, does it?

Chuck's story in this game is probably going to be tragic as fuck, huh?

This is a "what if...?" game, specifically "What if Frank was the main character her instead of Chuck?"

It's doesn't look good for Chuck, I'll say that much.

It's a "What if?" scenario for DR 2.

I still don't understand why though.

But why remake 2 with Frank as the protagonist? Why not just make 3, especially with that Sequel Hook Case West left?

Because money. Since I'm not sure that Dead Rising 3 is anything more than notes on a clipboard yet, and seeing that Capcom has been using re-releases to give themselves a buffer profit wise, they're probably just wanting to not hit the red for the umpteenth time.

...okay, you know what? I'm just gonna be blunt about this.

Why Frank?

Because Capcom thinks he's freaking popular and want him to appear as much as possible...

Yeah, that.

But I actually like both Frank and Chuck. Six of one, half dozen of another.

I love Frank, but I like Chuck, too. It would make me sad if they fridged him. Not that I'm bitter about anything like that in other video game series. Nuh-uh. Not at all.

It isn't canon, but that doesn't mean it can't toy with our emotions. T.T Chuck's story could possibly be even sadder than it was in canon, but Frank's story isn't terribly upbeat, either... Could they be trying to make it Darker and Edgier?

I have my copy preordered, but it won't arrive for almost a week to the post office. Sigh.

What happened is this: Off the Record was supposed to be DLC.

It got bigger.

And bigger.

And bigger.

And bigger.

At that point, Capcom said, "Oh, what the fuck. Let's just make it a full game release and go all out."

I saw this in a store yesterday. I bought it. Only now did I find out that it isn't supposed to be out yet.
