So after making the switch from Lili to Poison, I'm having a WAAAAY easier time dealing with jump ins. Most scrubs never seem to realize those aren't so free against certain characters. Also, I really need to learn to fight Asuka mirrors and Vega's mobility.
Well blanka is very annoying to play against
How?
I like to think of Blanka as a litmus test for how scrubby your play is. Blanka is best fought methodically, with the precision of a neurosurgeon. That's why if you use characters like Seth, who are all rushdown, you're going to have a bad time unless you think things through. Sure, he has some tricky blockstrings and weird hit/hurtboxes. But slowdown, let HIM come to YOU, and punish blanka's feeble attempts at damage.
Just to add to that, countering their attempts to chip me to death with Blanka's ultra 1 is always funny. Some don't get it that Seth's ultra 1 has a lot of priority.
Jesus I hate the new assist gems.
The potential for an earlier release of the DLC characters is the most intriguing to me.
I'm more interested in the balance changes. I was just blown up by a Cammy in an endless lobby who just spammed jab... and won. There was a line to beat her and we all lost cause that new assist gem is BULLSHIT.
X 2 X would be most interested in this.

So then they are considering both Mika and Karin?
If so, then they would really need to give Julia a J.C. skin to take advantage of it.
One Strip! One Strip!Indeed, I am.
"Oh no, Sanji's Chronic Simprosis!" - Kou The MadFirst time poster here but a few people here may know me already from Youtube or other communities. Anyway, I found this game to be rushed and even with playing the DLC characters they don't really seem all that great to me with the exception of Bryan Fury who is incredibly fun to mess around with. I do enjoy it, it's not a bad game but it just doesn't feel as fleshed out as SSFIV was. I find the gems annoying too due to the fact that it takes quite a bit of the skill out of the game.
Gems aren't annoying as long as they're not assist gems. The boost gems require you to actually capitalize on the opportunity given within a small time frame, unlike assist gems which are permanent. Also, a lot of people seem to forget that SFIV had some pretty big balance issues in the beginning. I almost gave up on that game cause of the sheer amount of people I saw playing only shotos/Sagat online. SSFIV evened out the playing field a lot, AE not so much, then 2012 making it more or less even again. As much as I hate being beaten by a Cammy who can spam jab with an assist gem all day I hate being killed by a flowchart Ken even more.

Oh and Capcom blamed the sales on the oversaturation of the fighting games market

I doubt things will change that much.
I'm more interested in this big update they keep mentioning. New Street Fighter X Tekken edition? D:

"The difference between reality and fiction is that fiction has to make sense." - Tom Clancy, paraphrasing Mark Twain.I find it a bit ironic that Capcom blames the oversaturation of the fighting game market when they've put out the most fighters since SFIV: SFIV (with two/three updates depending on how you look at AE Ver.2012), TvC, MvC3 (with its Ultimate update), and SFxT. That's not even counting rereleases of older titles like SSFIITHDR, MvC2, and SFIII: 3S0. And then we have those Darkstalkers 4 rumors floating around. All of this since 2008.
The only company even close to shelling out that many fighters in the span of four years (give or take) has been Arc System Works (especially with their three versions of BlazBlue: Continuum Shift), and even they're not that bad.
"Oh no, Sanji's Chronic Simprosis!" - Kou The MadNot sure whether I would count TvC among the "saturation of the market" group, since it's exclusive to a console that doesn't get most, if any, of the other ones.
I got to play some SFxT today.
"Infinites vs. timeouts" is an accurate description =/

Donate money to Skullgirls, get a sweet poster. So after the patch I tried playing against a friend of mine who has a rufus and juri team. He tried spamming dive kicks and m.senpusha as per usual and got demolished. Makes me happy. Life is fun again.
I only find the timeout part accurate when I'm playing against someone who plays shotos. They're still stuck playing SF 4 and quite frankly its damn annoying. When I do meet a someone who can play to the shoto's strengths though I get DEMOLISHED.

So, how about Rolento's knife being broken?
Artificial Intelligence is no match for Natural Stupidity.Normally I would care, but I don't play shotos or Rolento so it sucks to be the people that do. Also, Capcom, lazy, etc.
^^^^^ That's not entirely ironic. If anything, it's fitting: they're the ones saturating the market, so naturally they would be the ones to feel the effects of what they've been doing more strongly.
It's not as though they're blaming other people - at this point it just seems like they're acknowledging the issue.
It's ironic that it was their game that was hit by it, but them being the ones to point it out it isn't, really.

I suppose it's not just the character but the people who play them as well. I find the players who try and screw with you using mix-ups a lot more annoying then other kinds of Blanka players.
