Oh my, this is a pic I put loooooong ago, way before I discovered Image Pickin'. Totally forgot about it, and now that I see it again, I agree it's not very good. Add my vote for pulling it.
As for a replacement in the same series, I fear I don't have one: all C Gs that have the protagonist and the girl he won arms in arms have the guy's face masked or out of the camera's angle, due to AFGNCAAPness.
EDIT: See what I mean with those pics: [1]◊, [2]◊, [3]◊, [4]◊, [5]◊, [6]◊. Yes, the girl looks clearly happy, but the guy either has a different impression than happiness (reacting to the antics of the girl or the Funny Background Event), or his face isn't visible altogether.

"Your kindness gives me the presentiment I can be reborn. Now, I want to believe at least in you." - Kaori Yae^ Could work indeed.
Also, 4th panel of this, with the Funny Background Event cropped out, is another alternative, although maybe less obvious than the one you propose.
EDIT: Ooooh, and there's that one I just found as well. (WARNING: Pic is SFW, but some of the related pic icons on right of the pic apparently aren't).

"Your kindness gives me the presentiment I can be reborn. Now, I want to believe at least in you." - Kaori YaeNot too bad.
Bump...is the pic bad enough to pull or not?
I'll join in. There MUST be something better.
The original image is terrible. How can we tell that they are/were high school sweethearts? There's nothing that even indicates how old the characters are.
Vox's picture nails it. It gets my vote for sure.

Japanese dialogue and a girl in a sailor fuku tells me right away that we're dealing with a high school setting.
Here's my only problem with Vox's pic - it's literally the trope name, but The trope talks about kids who get married right after graduation and none of the pics address that.

Remember, most tropers aren't from Japan and not all of us watch anime. Hence, many people wouldn't know that. Beware of Fan Myopia.
How would this be pictured, then? If we show a couple dressed for a wedding, for example, how would anybody know that they're high school sweethearts?

One shot of them in high school. One at their wedding. Better yet, another when they're having a child and another when they're old.
But these are just ideas.
The words above are to be read as if they are narrated by Morgan Freeman.
What about Serena/Usagi + Darien/Mamoru from Sailor Moon?
That may be about as good as we can get.
It isn't clear they're high schoolers in the first picture, even counting the girl's costume.
The words above are to be read as if they are narrated by Morgan Freeman.I figured the high school uniform would be kind of a dead give away. =_=
I think its easy to make the logical conclusion of High School Uniform = High School—> Wedding dress = Getting married.

1) That's her costume. For all I know if she graduates she'll still be wearing that for the fights, etc.
2) She wears uniform, but the boy doesn't. Not to mention he's rather tall.

The words above are to be read as if they are narrated by Morgan Freeman. That is NOT her costume. That's her school uniform. I watched the show as a kid.
Her costume has assorted jewelry◊ and stuff. As well as other design differences.
Where she's hugging her boyfriend...you can clearly see that's NOT her Sailor Moon costume.
So what if he's tall, My parents were high school sweethearts, she was a midget and he was a giant.

The first image looks to me like a rather unsettling age difference.
This implies, quite correctly, that my mind is dark and damp and full of tiny translucent fish. One (1), fair enough. On (2), there's still nothing to indicate that the lad was a high schooler as well. Like A.P. said, he looked quite significantly older.
It's not a bad image, I'm just saying we shouldn't stop looking.

The words above are to be read as if they are narrated by Morgan Freeman.I agree that the Sailor Moon images are unclear. The school uniform means nothing to someone who hasn't seen the show. I thought that the picture was of a little girl.
Maybe Homer and Marge?
Homer and Marge looking at a wedding photo◊ (I think the whole Shotgun Pete's thing is very appropriate for the trope).

THAT'S Homer?!
Could there be a better picture found, because I couldn't even tell teenage Homer was Homer.
Don't get me wrong. I like the idea, and I think it works, maybe a better picture of them when they were younger??? I don't know. I can tell that's marge but I didn't notice it was Homer (a lot of people look similar in the Simpsons)

This is Mimi-don't let her cuteness fool you-she's got spunk.Just a couple of more suggestions I feel throwing in. I'm going to look up a few more later.
Another Sailor Moon one. Usagi/Mamoru (complete with them as King and Queen of Earth + their daughter)
Cory & Topanga
This is Mimi-don't let her cuteness fool you-she's got spunk.
Last one's not bad. The rest, rather vague whether they were supposed to be high schoolers.
The words above are to be read as if they are narrated by Morgan Freeman. The Dragon Ball and Boy Meets World Pics are really good. I like them both the best.
Crown Description:
High School Sweethearts
The text at the bottom looks pretty bad. Plus, it would help if we could see both their faces.
