Whoops, fixed.
Update on Justice League Dark from Doug Liman
"It's going to have real horror elements, for sure," he confirmed. "I love early horror films, be it The Exorcist, or Carrie, The Omen. In the same way that Bourne Identity, I went back to '70s paranoia."
"There's stuff to be mined from the people who have come before me that I'm planning to bring to Justice League Dark. And also the arena, my good friend Simon Kinberg, with Deadpool really pushed the arena," he added. "I'm never going to do something that's straight forward, but I'm not going to do something campy either. I have a take on it that isn't like anything else out there. At the end of the day I make character driven movies."

Just sets him up for a larger fall.
I'M MR. MEESEEKS, LOOK AT ME!Justice League Dark has potential, but the director is Doug Liman is a hit-or-miss director. He did Edge of Tomorrow (which is legitimately great) and The Wall (which is fucking atrocious). And its screenwriter is a complete Wild Card because he has done literally nothing of note (Michael Giullo).
It's a minor tragedy because by all accounts Guillermo Del Toro, one of the best directors of our time, had a script ready for Justice League Dark but they don't seem like they're going to use it.

"All you Fascists bound to lose."I thought they were using Guillermo Del Toro's story but having the new person write the screenplay based on that story.

Batman Ninja more like Batman's Bizarre AdventureThey announced a while go that Michael Giullo will be "writing the film", which implies they discarded Del Toro's script (given there was no announcement of Giullo writing it based on his draft).
"All you Fascists bound to lose."They're doing a Justice League Dark movie? I am...cautiously kinda optimistic.
That quote from Diane Lane is taken out of context. She isn't saying Justice League will be worse than Avengers just that she can't answer the question.

Batman Ninja more like Batman's Bizarre AdventureShe says "No and—No." If you watch the video you can notice she isn't actually trying to answer, she's cutting off her previous phrase with a no.
"All you Fascists bound to lose."She's under contract with WB she can't answer either questions.
She is not allowed to answer questions like that while she's still under contract.
Edit* I think I misunderstood your post until after I posted.
Yeah I got that after I posted and then went back and reread it.

Batman Ninja more like Batman's Bizarre AdventureYou might have. I'm agreeing with you.
"All you Fascists bound to lose."Actually, Diane Lane was asked two questions: whether she could reveal any spoilers ("No") and whether Justice League would be better than Avengers ("And no."). Then she says, "Short but honest. I hate to disappoint." Meaning that she was being honest that it wasn't going to be better than Avengers.
Which, let's face it, not many things are. Avengers pretty much set a gold standard when it came to superhero films. So I don't consider her answer a slight or bad thing anyway.

"But you see Avengers had problems X, Y, and Z... it wasn't as great as everyone hypes it up to be."
I'M MR. MEESEEKS, LOOK AT ME!The Avengers was a steaming pile of shit and Snyder would have to personally come into the theater and beat me to death to make me enjoy JL less than Avenges.
I believe you happen to be in the minority when it comes to that opinion. Like, the 8% minority.

Aww, man.
I really got to watch out for these damned clickbait articles...
I'd be in the 9% actually since I'm not a critic.
But you know, these are the same critics who love Superman Returns. These are thesame audiences who rate Bayformers higher than Ang Lee's Hulk. At least they can come together on this - everyone loves a big mac now and then.
I don't think you're going to find much traction with the whole "Avengers was a steaming pile of shit" opinion. Even people who don't like the movie don't appear to hate it as much as you.
Also, Ang Lee's Hulk was terrible. (And technically, the last Transformers got less than Ang Lee's Hulk — 18% to 61%. So your information appears to be inaccurate.)

The last Transformers movie I paid attention to was Revenge of the Fallen, which everyone said at the time was the worst movie ever. It still has a higher audience score on RT than 2003 Hulk.
And you're not really getting this "I don't care what the popular opinion is." Ang Le's Hulk is the only Hulk movie that has ever done any justice to the character and his mythos. It was a psychological study of Bruce Banner and that's what the Hulk is.
Not even 30 seconds long and it says more about the character than 3 full movies. But because the audience wanted more HULK PUNCH LOKI "PUNY GOD HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAA" Avengers gets a higher score. That's what the audience wanted, the Hulk punching things.
I'm one of those that didn't like the Avengers.
I actually liked it on my first viewing but every time I see it I like it less and less.
With most DC movies every time I watch them I like it more and more with each additional viewing. I'm not sure if Suicide Squad is the same because I only watched it once.
Batman Ninja more like Batman's Bizarre AdventureEh, I think the statement could be constructed either way. In the interview she's asked the two but she noticeably goes "No and— no" in a way that implies the she said no to cut off her previous sentence. And her "short but honest, sorry to disappoint." could be interpreted as her being sorry to disappoint she has absolutely zero to reveal on either account. Here's the actual interview0.
PS: Nikkolas if you keep this trend of unrelenting disdain towards people who appreciate the MCU (your last post had the underlying implications the masses aren't clever enough to comprehend the genius of better movies so had to settle for a dumbed down The Avengers) its going to be really hard to converse.

Nikolas: that is more because marvel cant make a hulk movie, I feel wheedon did some good job on Hulk in avenger: we have is somewhat tense relationship with black widow, tony saying "the other dude" is not a bad thing and the idea everyone is trying to use him(which is quite correct), now Age of Ultrin IS bad with a pointless battle with stark, having Wanda brainwashing him(both things cut of civil war for a good reason) and romance with black widow that amount to....pretty much angst and set him to not-quite-planet-hulk.
Also I agree with Gaon: while im not a big fan of marvel(I feel the whole "they are fun while dc is pretentious" or "they Marvel heroes are flawed" are two overated things) but some implication you leave make very dificult to chat with you so take it easy.
