Of course people still bloody use AIM. Half of Americans use AIM, even if they don't use AOL for anything else (most people don't). I'd say roughly half of my own messenger contacts are on AIM.

I'm amazed that anyone other than me still uses MSN, to be honest.
I kind of vaguely miss ICQ. I never used it myself but everyone was really big on it in early high school.

Last time I saw 300 million people were using MSN. The number of AIM users has been declining and AOL has layed a large number of its staff off relating to its AIM program.
