And yet, you live in the United states with CN at your fingertips? Don't you have cable?
Dakota's blog An odd agent of justiceI don't watch TV that much.
I'm a (socialist) professional writer serializing a WWII alternate history webnovel.More people should be like you. No, seriously. I need to read some Shakespears.
Dakota's blog An odd agent of justiceI didn't say I read that much books either.
I'm a (socialist) professional writer serializing a WWII alternate history webnovel. The show varies a lot between mundane and bizarre, but so far "The Job" was easily the strangest (and generally considered one of the best).
2D, CGI, and live-action.
"The photo" premires tonight. Deffinatly looks like a gumball version of Dexter's Picture day episode.
Dakota's blog An odd agent of justiceDon't you think that will invoke some They Copied It, So It Sucks! sentiment among CN's gewunners?
This show has the tenacious character to make old things feel new, so I don't think so.
Also, my mistake. The episode will air tommorrow in the states.
Dakota's blog An odd agent of justiceOk, this thread is starting to die. SO I'M GONNA SAVE IT!:
The photo: I don't know who does the photoshoping in this series, but they made alan's face look so much like "Ridiculously photogenic guy" in his pictures.
The storm: Nice episode. A little too dramatic with the love plot, but nice. Though i'm wondering where the Hell Anais is at during this time, since they still go to the same school. Also, does Alan sound a little like Junior Asparagus to anyone else?
Dakota's blog An odd agent of justiceIf that scene in "The Storm" didn't seem suggestive enough take a good look at the way Alan's knot moves after he says "I don't think I have the strength to inflate."
Ironically, there actually was an edit made to the US broadcast compared to the UK one... in the UK version Gumball called Carmen a bimbo instead of a coward.
Altering any two voices in the same way (in this case pitching them up) makes them appear more similar because that alteration distracts you from their other qualities.

What has been seen can't... OH GOD NO, GUMBALL!!
Plus, I'm sure they edited it due to the fact Americans consider bimbo as an old timey way to call a woman a whore, and CN U.S. doesn't want to be the cause of any 7-yr-old boy telling girls that.
PS: how do you do that caption boy thing with past posts?
Dakota's blog An odd agent of justicePeople sometimes use "blond bimbo" around here to mean an airheaded valley girl type (at least, that's how I think Batman The Animated Series got away with it), but yeah - has some pretty lewd connotations stateside. Does it mean something different in the UK?

No, it means Brainless Beauty in both places, it's just considered somewhat more offensive in the US for various reasons.

Dakota's blog An odd agent of justiceNew DVD, "The party", is avaliable August 12th or somethin'.
Dakota's blog An odd agent of justiceIs it wrong that every time Nicole gets angry I find it more hilarious than frightening? I swear, her voice actress makes it so over the top it's hilarious. She's clearly my favorite character on here.

Don't Press Your Luck too many times in life. You'll just get whammied.Of course it's not wrong, that's the point.
Then is it wrong that when I first saw the sneak peak back in '11, I got a hard one off of her?(No regrets)
Dakota's blog An odd agent of justiceSo I haven't seen this show for a while - ever since The Job aired (I got lucky and caught The Pony on the air at a good time, but that was about it). So I recently caught up on all the episodes I missed.
"The Storm" is now officially up there with "The Spoon," "The Curse," "The Job" and "The Helmet" as one of my favorite episodes of the entire show. The whole thing was just one funny gag or one-liner after another.
But seriously, it seems like on of Gumball's classmates goes nuts and tries to kill him every other episode.

"The difference between reality and fiction is that fiction has to make sense." - Tom Clancy, paraphrasing Mark Twain.God this show is hilarious it's just a shame I keep seeing repeats of the same episodes because too be honest there aren't many episodes that play on Cartoon Network that are episodes I haven't already seen. This happened the same time I was in Florida granted it was new at the time but come on really? I wish they would make more episodes of The Amazing World of Gumball cuz like I said it's a pretty good show.

"Transform and Roll out!" Optimus Prime"The Storm" was great. I may see the cartoon a bit different, because I really feel an undercurrent of seriousness under all the humor.
Also, Gumball's voice is really deepening in a hurry, isn't it? I think he's dropped half an octave since season 1.
I actually think they may have already started pitching his and Darwin's voice up.
I only found about this show few days ago.
