That was perfect, I admit.
The thing that irks me is that we've got this dark, mysterious plotline but none of the characters are taking it the least bit seriously. IT makes it really hard to enjoy what would otherwise be a compelling show.

Thats one of the things I think is most fantastic about the show!
I'm enjoying the overblown comedy aspects as it is right now. I hope it will still remain funny when the plot really gets going. I don't know what I would do without "CHRISTINA!"

Read all of my fanfics! It's funny but most of the time it's just awkward humor. I don't find much value in awkward humor.
I've got new mythological machinery, and very handsome supernatural scenery. Goodfae: a mafia web serialWatched the new episode, Cry Cute Christina is best Christina.
Read all of my fanfics! No, labcoat Christina is best Christina.
I've got new mythological machinery, and very handsome supernatural scenery. Goodfae: a mafia web serialA Mamoru Miyano-voiced character claiming he'll change the world while laughing like a loon? We're screwed. Though, I suppose we should by all rights be screwed anyway, given that the fate of the world is in the hands of these boobs.
The pace is still kinda slow but I actually don't mind since it's fun to watch these people's personalities bounce off of each other. I was quite amused by the Badass Labcoat Lampshade Hanging.

My Megaman and MegaTen liveblogsOk, Suzuha does not like Kurisu, but Kurisu has no idea who she is. Suzuha's instinctive reaction to a helicopter is that its a bombing. She has also never seen Fireworks, and will drop into a combat stance at a moment's notice.
So yeah, Suzuha is almost certainly "not from around here", and also very likely the person who killed Kurisu in the first timeline. This raises the question of....why?
Daru also knows how to read a mood appropriately. Yuri is definitely in the air!
500 yen says that Suzuha is part of the resistance against SERN's dystopia, and Kurisu was/will be responsible for the final breakthrough necessary for SERN to complete their time machine
My thoughts exactly.
I admit, watching them bounce off eachother is fun, and finally we got somewhere this episode, which relieves much of my beef with this show so far. Now if only Okarin and Kurisu would stop playing hard-to-get with eachother already and have some celebratory For Science! sexytiemz.
I've got new mythological machinery, and very handsome supernatural scenery. Goodfae: a mafia web serialDear gods, the reports for the experiments were creepy. I mean, the results had been foreshadowed heavily, but actually spelling it out was chilling to the bone.
And yeah, Suzuha's behaviour is definitely suspicious.
I had a pretty good idea what they were going to be about since they were the "Jellyman" reports.
But yeah. Eww.
Mmmmm... Human Jelly!
I've got new mythological machinery, and very handsome supernatural scenery. Goodfae: a mafia web serial@Kspam: The thing about Stein's gate is, it rapidly switches between Otaku culture based sitcom and Techno conspiracy thriller, often one after the other. Expecting Stein's gate to be a totally serious Conspiracy thriller is abit like expecting a Michael Bay movie to not include explosions.
Also:
...What part of PARODY of STEREOTYPICAL OTAKU do you not get?

ALL HAIL THE WARGERBIL!It would be one thing to call it a parody if it was actually an exaggeration. And as we all know, people have sunk to far lower depths than Daru.
I've got new mythological machinery, and very handsome supernatural scenery. Goodfae: a mafia web serialSo, it's just a stereotypical Otaku, then. That still doesn't explain your hate for him, though admittedly if I'm to start bashing you, I should probably include Clarste in it too, eh?

ALL HAIL THE WARGERBIL!To me, it comes off as more of a disturbing "hive of scum and villainy" type deal than actual comedy. I'd be phoning the police on this guy if I was Kurisu. He's just creepy.

What the? Are you even watching the same show as the rest of us?
Yes, though obviously we're looking at different characters.
I've got new mythological machinery, and very handsome supernatural scenery. Goodfae: a mafia web serial...Has Daru done anything other than being kind of irritating?
Err, actually, no, you just have a stomach made of paper and have no concept of humour. Either that, or you find double entendres to be the "hive of villiany." So yeah, you are a prude.

ALL HAIL THE WARGERBIL!I don't know where you come from, but where I'm from, people do not usually say shit like that to people they've just met, especially someone of the opposite sex. I could see it if it was two guys who had just met. Then it might be funny. As it is though, Daru just seems like a rapist.
And what the hell is a paper stomach?

I've got new mythological machinery, and very handsome supernatural scenery. Goodfae: a mafia web serialI don't know where you come from, but where I'm from, just because someone made a dirty joke to someone of the opposite sex does not make him a villai ....
Yeah, you know what, this is getting childish. Lets just stop here before it goes out of hand.

ALL HAIL THE WARGERBIL!I agree. There's obviously a difference in opinion here, but continuing to argue over it contributes little.

The "Daru is just like the universe - constantly expanding." line killed me.
