Went trough advertising and Anime. Planning to go trough rest next week.
This needs serious cleaning. And as long as we're at it, can someone please remove the Team Fortress 2 Nightmare Fuel page? Please?
I've got new mythological machinery, and very handsome supernatural scenery. Goodfae: a mafia web serialno, why should it be removed?

"Stealing is a crime and drugs is a crime too BUT if you steal drugs the two crimes cancel out and it’s like basically doing a good."There's a large amount of natter-type stuff/potential flamebait/thistroperitis on the Real Life section involving Asperger Syndrome. Having been diagnosed with the condition myself, I can tell that the people who wrote this section had a vague idea of what it really was (at one point, someone compares it to being like a werewolf). To me, it borders on unintentional hilarity at its finest. I'm just not sure what to do here, so I'm posting in this thread.
Here's the section in question.

No, seriously, cut the section. As someone with Asperger's myself, I would be extremely offended if I wasn't laughing so darn hard. I can't think of any reason this section should exist.
Now, if you'll excuse me, I have to go terrorize the villagers.

The fuck did I just read?
"badass" doesn't anything in after used end fail be fine.Went through Video Games, although I stayed off the Sub pages. Just removed some instances of This Troper.
I think the Western Animated section needs a clean up. Some of the examples are more Accidental Nightmare Fuel than legit High Octane Nightmare Fuel
How so?
He who fights bronies should see to itthat he himself does not become a brony. And if you gaze for long into an abyss, Pinkie Pie gazes AlsoBumping, because it's still relevant, the HONF are fucking overloaded with natter, I tried going through the TV Tropes entry, and just gave up half way through.
The question is, at what point does trying to "fix" it just come across as removing something that reflects on the nature of the examples? Consider the Toy Story section, for instance, which I recently transferred over from its corresponding entries on the Disney section. Yeah, it's pretty nattery, but the style of the natter shows user reactions to the moments being described, which reflects on the examples, making me awfully hesitant to "fix" it. (And not sure what to replace it with if I did.)
Yeah, I get pretty hesitant on removing some of the stuff, which is part of the reason I bumped this. So far, I've started off by getting rid of excessive arguing on why something is/isn't scary and the bullets that are literally "This troper agrees with everything that was just said" and nothing more.

I think that if the natter is contributing anything, there has to be a way to rewrite it is a less nattery fashion.
He who fights bronies should see to itthat he himself does not become a brony. And if you gaze for long into an abyss, Pinkie Pie gazes AlsoMy point is that sometimes it is helpful partly because it's so nattery; or rather, that the kind of stuff that is typically considered bad writing for a wiki helps reflect on the examples, such as which examples had the stronger impacts on people, etc...
People can judge fir themseves if ssomething is a good example. They dint need natter to tell them how scary it is.
He who fights bronies should see to itthat he himself does not become a brony. And if you gaze for long into an abyss, Pinkie Pie gazes AlsoThey don't need natter, but my point is, again, sometimes the style of the natter (all caps, or tangential discussion, or whatever) goes to show the effect certain moments had on certain viewers.
... then again, these viewers don't necessarily speak for all viewers anyway.
Ignore this post.

What post?
He who fights bronies should see to itthat he himself does not become a brony. And if you gaze for long into an abyss, Pinkie Pie gazes AlsoI think that while people need to make the distinction of accidental nightmare fuel and high octane one, that doesn't mean that the natter should be removed.
For starters, NF in general is far off in the YMMV lands as well as, since it's so subjective, it's almost troper tales and what scares one person doesn't scare another. The natter is opinions and reactions, so it actually adds to the whole feeling of the page.
tl;dr: Organize the pages, don't erase the natter and find a way to get people to distinguish between HONF and ANF.
Trying to be better than I was beforeNatter is always bad. If it contained something useful, chances are there is a way to keep it while getting rid of the natter.
He who fights bronies should see to itthat he himself does not become a brony. And if you gaze for long into an abyss, Pinkie Pie gazes AlsoI removed some of the natter and This Troper on the page for Tv Tropes. That one's especially bad. But I agree with Red Lunch Box, some of the user-reaction things (especially in the Real Life sections) are excellent at showing the HONF better than any kind of description.

What do you mean by "user reaction things"?
"The Daily Show has to be right 100% of the time; FOX News only has to be right once." - Jon Stewart
I just did a word search in one of the High Octane Nightmare Fuel pages for "This Troper", and got over 100 matches! And that's just in the Film page alone.
I am going to try to clean it up, but I would rather not do it myself. Any help is appreciated.
