Man of Steel. Nolan Superman Reboot.

He's no longer listed. Probably just a rumor that got listed as fact. However, he has replaced Steve Jablonsky on Conan The Barbarian so he is doing a comic book film. It's not Superman though.

I desperately hope that one of the new Super Man movies will feature Bizarro as the main villain and he will be Played for Drama Dark Knight-style.

Oh god is that a relief. Seriously, if theres one character who needs epic music, its Superman. Bates couldn't give him that.

If he was done right, Bizarro could easily be one of the most beloved characters of film history. Just sayin

Gotta agree with Takashi. Man makes General Ross look like a kitten.

I've got to agree on going lesser-known villains on this one. Batman Begins and Iron Man did this and they were some of the better films for the genre.

I would love to see Metallo in a movie. I don't know what it is about the guy, but of all Supey's enemies he's the only one I consistently enjoy reading/watching in everything I see him in.

Especially with his in-comic powers, which are just plain over-the-top.

If Bizarro is ever in a movie, his theme should be a warped/distorted mutation of John Williams' Superman theme.

Speaking of which, is the new movie using John Williams's theme, or composing a new score from scratch?

It's up the air. I say, bin the old theme. This is not a serialized franchise, like Indiana Jones, where the theme is indispensable. Moreover, Superman Returns is so recent, we all should have had our John Williams fix by now.

My one regret is that the last production to make use of the old theme might be Smallville.

I'd say, the leitmotif should stay, but the song itself can be redone.

I dont know. The Nolan Batman films were able to get away without the danny elfman score

^^ That's fair. Singer's clever use of the leitmotif (boat scene) was the only part of Superman Returns that I liked.

I'm pro-changing the score. The score for Superman TAS was still very 'Superman', even if it had nothing to do with the movies.

I'm hoping that they use elements from these three themes. It shouldn't be too hard, seeing that those themes have many things in common.

See, this is what I mean. You shouldn't abandon the Superman theme, because there is a Superman theme. But its not any one song. Its every song, each one build on all the prior.

You know what. I really hope they use the Alex Ross shield◊ or at least a variant of it. Good god that would be so awesome to see on the screen.
