... I am conflicted about this. On one hand we're getting the game, on the other hand it's a Gamestop exclusive.

Keep in mind, there's no issue with buying NEW games at Game Stop. It's used games that give them the money, which is why they constantly pushed used games on customers.

Also, about half an hour ago, Nintendo posted official art of Xenoblade Chronicles on their Facebook page. A US release may be a bit more likely now.

Woot, I'm so happy for you guys! And what's with the widespread Gamestop hate? I don't think I've ever bought a game in the last five or so years in a place other than a Gamestop.

I already have the game since I'm European, so I'm happy for you guys as well if it turns out to be true.

Still not completely sold on this game, but the new trailer interests me a little.

Reminds me of Phantasy Star if anything.

That trailer was also shown in the countries of Europe I think.

...I just explained to my girlfriend last night about how I bought a copy while I was in London because Nintendo of America was all "fuck you we don't care enough to release it over here" and now they do.

Dammit, NOA, you could've at least let me feel special for a few weeks.

I'm still in London at the moment, so I haven't gotten the chance to actually play it. I'm probably going to take it back and play it anyway, but now I really have to consider whether or not to buy the American version for myself — it would be a shame for them to finally put the game out over here and not have it sell well, thus justifying their earlier waffling about it.

They better put a huge marketing campaign behind it. TV spots, posters, store stands and demos. Hell, a Nintendo World launch event would be fantastic.

Reggie told me he had been waiting specifically for you to buy the game in London before deciding enough European copies were sold and to officially announce the US release. You are a horrible, horrible person for buying it so late and making so many people wait.

And they're even using the UK Dub, too! :D

I wonder what will happen to The Last Story and Pandora's Tower. Will NOA hold their releases hostage until they do well in Europe as well? Cause I can see The Last Story selling enough copies, but unless it gets at least some advertising I don't think Pandora's Tower will do as well. Although it's still going to be a pre-order for me of course.

I'll buy both. I'm a Nintendo fan through and through after all.

Hopefully The Last Story will come over here too, but if not I'm going to be in England next summer. I can maybe probably definitely totally grab it then. And whatever else hasn't come over to the US yet.

I wouldn't have expected them to redub the game in English again, but eh, the dub when I played the EU version didn't really appeal to me.

At least you can change the language settings. Great news about it finally coming out, though. Even though I imported it before, I'll be buying it again.
