I sincerely hope so. if this is the only option then there's no real reason to exist.
We must survive, all of us. The blood of a human for me, a cooked bird for you. Where is the difference?
If there is a multiverse then some of your other self visited other you and assisted them. In fact it possible that at any seconds of your life the universe branched into worlds where you were visited and worlds that you didn't. The local you was just unlucky enough to always be in the wrong side of this separation.
One of the things that always fascinated me about this theory is that it means that every time I buy a lottery ticket the universe branch into infinite universe where I won and infinite universe where I lose, which mean that technically I have a 50:50 chance of winning
Makes me wanna ask, is there any religion that believes in The Multiverse? Is there anything that's possible to interpret as proof of a Multiverse?
somethingMaybe Buddhism. They believe that the universe is an illusion that is caused by karma. so it is possible that in your next life your karma would shape an entirely different illusion for you.

Considering that the people who had come up with the main religions of the world had never heard of The Multiverse as known now (barring supposed omniscient beings who should know of it or at least the theory), my answer is a resounding no.
I hope the multiverse exists and that the worlds from fiction we see here lie in the multiverse.
I can't bring myself to commit to believing the Multiverse exists, because if it did, and at least a few of my alts were able to have the life I always wanted, I would be incredibly depressed HERE over the fact that none of them were able (or inclined) to reach across the divide and fix SOMETHING about MY life here.
Of course, there'd probably be a few of my alts that actually succeeded in one of my three suicide attempts. That's pretty sobering too.
(*sigh*) I always end up going right to that. I'm as annoyed as you are about it too.
It's better to be right than liked. Really. I Just Want to Be Loved
