In a move similar to last year, Konami has released Ground Zeroes on Steam during the first day of the Steam Holiday Sale. It's currently 33% off the base price of $20, taking it down to $13.19, and apparently it's a very good port.
So, is it worth the roughly $13 price tag, considering the amount of content that in this "prologue" thing?
For a short but still triple-A title, certainly sounds a lot more reasonable than what it was originally going for.
Yeah. My friend agrees seeing as he's now got it. I should be able to have a go with a max settings Ground Zeroes soon enough.
So apparently, there was a Christmas surprise from Kojima-chan!
Was it a release date for MGS 5?
Actually, it was…
…
TL;DR: Basically, if you die a certain number of times, the game will ask if you want to wear the chicken hat. The good news is enemies won't be able to see you when you wear the chicken hat. The bad news is…you're wearing a chicken hat.
Why? Maybe this is Kojima-chan's way of saying he hates us for begging for more MGS when he wants to do more Zone of the Enders?

I'm still crossing fingers for another March release.
Nah, I'd rather have E3 put the hypetrain in overdrive immediately before release than have another release right around my birthday; especially with Final Fantasy Type 0 HD coming out in March.

I played the PC version of Ground Zeroes and it looked gorgeous on max settings. We had some problems with screen tearing though...
Troy Baker calls MGSV absolutely massive: ‘It may be the biggest game I’ve ever seen’
"… Skyrim looks like an afternoon playpen next to [MGSV]. It’s massive! It’s absolutely massive what you can do."
They really need to stop saying stuff like that.
Looking at you No Mans Sky.
And Skyrim.
Akira Toriyama (April 5 1955 - March 1, 2024).Sounds like we have a release date now: September 1st.
...It got pushed back again, didn't it? Could've sworn they said sometime this early summer. Oh phooey :/
No, it was only ever said to be this year.
PSN ID: FateSeraph | Switch friendcode: SW-0145-8835-0610 Congratulations! She/TheyMGSV is one of the few games this generation that hasn't been delayed due to the fact that up until now we've only known it was coming out 2015.
Oh well. At least it gives me more time to save up for the PS 4.
I'm just happy that I now have a date to count down to for my next MGS art project. Not to mention a shit-ton of extra time, since I'm not a fresh face in the fanbase this time around and May 24th's gonna be when it's 100 days from release.
So who wants to see The Medic's face?

Dat weapon customization.
First Fallout 4 and now Phantom Pain. This E3 has been very good to us, hasn't it?
yeyThose guns. That customization. The free roam. The dedicated DD pet button.
God this game looks perfect
Oh really when?
If that's not gonna be merchandise, I will lose all faith in Kojima. (Or as another person in my neck of the woods put it, the only reason they wouldn't sell those is if they were afraid of making too much money.)
Also, rumors that TPP will be out on June 22nd.
