Every time I try and start a game of MGO it says I was disconnected. Although I havent tried for a couple of days.
The ping's too high for me to enjoy it - I keep dying from targets that I barely saw or missing shots I shouldn't have. Guess I'll just have to stick to the singleplayer. No loss really, since Metal Gear's greatest strengths have always been offline.
I've always been fond of MGO. I've played a few matches and generally liked them.
So there are 2 versions of the Plushy Snare: The previously featured puppy and an ocelot kitten.
Somehow, I wish they included Moe version of Quiet's figurine.
...Don't give me that look. It's worked with Ocelot-tan!
She seems so much more Uncanny Valley ugly she is in those, she was before but those look a lot worse.
I like Quiet in her XOF outfit.
Flaming Buffalo's face is a little weird though.

Are you talking about Quiet or the female stand-in for Venom Snake?
You can tell the Mother Base staff had less work put into them. Which, you know, makes sense.
One of the reasons FB looks strange may be because she's trying to mimic Kiefer's facial capture but just can't. Like, you can see Quiet in Ocelot and Ocelot in Quiet when you swap them, and you can see Snake on Quiet's face when they're swapped, but that's because they're main characters who have the necessary underlying framework done to support that.
Quicelot is best waifu.

Never let it be said that the game doesn't know how to drive a wheeled tank destroyer ever again...

Aaaand just suffered my first FOB raid. Guy took a shitload of stuff from my Combat and Research platforms, S ranked troops, fuel, and precious minerals. Lost over 78,000 resources in total, plus GMP. Already regretting activating the online portion for the sake of the Mosquito bonus FOB missions, I didn't even bother to raid a single actual human player prior to that.
I kinda see what Kojima was probably intending by having the FOB system work like this - it's an excellent example of an endless cycle of revenge against all those who raid you along with those whom you raided. But at the same time, it's a huge pain in the ass if you're trying to build up the highest level gear and keep good staff, because the bigger you are, the more attention you'll gain.
That is why you put anyone with good stats (i.e. the best ranked staff in each department plus anyone who you like the look of)on direct contract. Those people can't be killed or kidnapped. You can only have so many people on direct contract at any one time but the people you'd want on direct contract make up such a small minority of your staff that you're unlikely to hit the limit.
Hence the problem. You'll need quite a few A++ and S ranked staff if you ever want to reach the equipment beyond lvl 55 in the R&D department. And that's not counting the stuff that requires other departments of be of equally high rank to research too. No way you'll be able to keep everybody worthwhile under direct contract.
I would like to thank whoever wrote that you can lock staff. Helps take the edge off.
Also, I somehow managed to "extract the armoured vehicle sealing off Lutwa Valley" in Mission 48 without even, you know, do that. I didn't extract any vehicles in my recollection in fact. I did leave the mission area on foot, though, so maybe I glitched it out?
Well that was odd.
I was doing a tank side ops and I knocked out two soldiers, fultoned one of them and then the other fultoned himself or something then Ocelot got on the mic saying 'nice job'.
I almost think Quiet can fulton people rarely.
Or I'm imagining it.
Or you're right and soldiers just fulton themselves sometimes. And the game is glitchy.
Also I saw the invisible floating guy again while I was redoing Mission 14 to get the Stun Grenades.
I approached the shack from the side of the cardboard box fast travel thing in Kiziba camp, put on my Night vision goggles, suddenly there's a soldier floating in the air with his arms to his sides.
EDIT: I'm starting to wonder whether he ever left, or whether he's been there the entire game.

Someone made a Big Boss bodypillow cover
The puns in the text post absolutely killed me.
-groans uncomfortably-
Naked Snake smiling hurts my insides.
I'M MR. MEESEEKS, LOOK AT ME!Is that the crab down there by his feet?
Oh really when?It could be nothing else.
Yeah, I think Metal Gear Online is my favorite multiplayer shooter in terms of gameplay.
...I mean, I'm still not going to enable voicechat because I don't hate myself that much, but.
There any Co-Op stuff in MGO or is itall Pv P stuff?
Who watches the watchmen?Nope, it's just all Pv P team battles unfortunately.
Would've been friggin SWEET if they added in an option to play the singleplayer campaign with a co-op buddy though!
Have you guys gotten MGO yet? I'm really getting the hang of it, it's really fun.
