By this I mean, what are the issues that you find yourself reading the most stories about, being vocal about, or just of the greatest concern to you?

Note: If someone supports something you don't like, be civil about it.

For me, it's probably either the advancement of LGTB rights, followed closely by cannabis decriminalization/legalization.

Marijuana legalization, privacy rights and gun rights are the three issues I care about mostly.

I think I favor decrim over full legalization, because I tend to favor grey markets over regulated markets tongue. Grey markets have great subversive potential.

I would say... abortion, and then sexism, and then LGBT rights. Things like wars, etc I tend to stay out of because I know I don't know enough about them.

None. I do tend to show up whenever there is a gender-related debate though.

Cyberwarfare, because I can read technical articles instead of news, and because it interests me.

Anything that might be a setback to technological innovation in the computer sector. It's the only thing I'm worried about, considering I want to live to and past The Singularity.

Second Amendment rights, so that if anything else goes totally pear shaped to where it isn't fixable through legal means, it's still fixable.

But mostly because I like guns and my state has shitty nonsensical gun laws, I still favor a good measure of gun control. I just think the term "Assault Weapon" should be banned, it's just used by liberal politicians to scare people who don't know any better.

I also keep tabs on the middle east, I'm not terribly opinionated about them, but being in the military means it pays to know where you might get sent, why, and the conditions and recent history of the location.

^^ Can you explain the rationale for civilians owning M16s? Is it to protect from the roving bands of gangstas with Tec-9s?

Rifles are generally kept for recreational purposes. In practice, they are too large to be concealed or used effectively in a massacre. Though I fear this can go off topic fast.
