Anyway, Ghost Train gets smoke and sound effects and shit in Zarei's spectral color, so it should be compatible with her. My guess is that it just can't use its border-warping powers in tool/possessor form, because reasons.

Warping stuff out of the Ghost Train's way requires energy/yarn. Warping the barrier out of the way requires a lot of yarnergy. Now that the Ghost Train is near death, he doesn't have enough yarnergy to do it.

At the very least, it may take ages for him to regenerate, yeah.
Stronger spirits take longer to regenerate, and the Ghost Train is a pretty hardcore poltergeist.

My gut says that they've given off too much of a Knight Templar vibe from the little we've heard about them. Maybe whatever it is they're hunting.

Forge was with, as far as I could tell, Forge.
Forge wanted to join the Doorman's group, which I guess counts as a third faction.
Well yes, he was focused on his own principles, but he was collaborating with a bigger organisation. The Doorman, the shadowy critters in the branches...
And they are enemies with the faction these dogs work for.
But I do not think it's clear if either of those is the Cousinhood.

From the way everybody's been talking about the Cousinhood, I don't get the feeling they're the sort of organisation that has a lot of non-human members?
