Depends on where you live, but probably Yes
Blind Final Fantasy 6 Let's PlayThe likelihood, chances of success, and if it's even reasonable to do so are unique to every situation.
Did you know: The original American Revolution only started because the rich dudes sitting in their thrones of pure gold decided they hated taxes, shelled out some change for weapons and told people to go fight for them? And that Cheese-Eating Surrender Monkeys had a better army than us?
In other news, this is hype and it isn't going to happen.
The thing about making witty signature lines is that it first needs to actually be witty. In modern day USA, without some sort of mass desertion from the army, I wouldn't give any such efforts a snowball's chance in hell.
In fact, the only first-world nation that I can think of that MIGHT have some success with nothing but civilian power would be Switzerland. Because over there, civilians have military training.
I think it's technically possible, under the right circumstances, for this to succeed. That said, it's unlikely.
The American Revolution wasn't quite that selfish. Taxation without representation is a legitimate grievance.
Except for 4/1/2011. That day lingers in my memory like...metaphor here...I should go.But more importantly, it would have never taken off unless some people with money weren't happy. Do you see that happening right now?
EDIT: Plus, really, citizens are going to get, what? Some rather low power fire arms at most? That's not going to be much compared to even a fraction of the official US army.

Virtually no chance, yeah. Shrinking intellectual class, rising upper classes, etc. Plus, the US is a really easy place to live, almost everyone's gone soft (myself included). The only people skilled enough in combat to do this are military, police and criminals. The farmers of America don't have nearly the insane amount of power and influence they used to. So revolution's very unlikely.

For Small Arms citizens have access to weapons that can compete with the military, but they don't the training to use them as well.
As far as armor, air support, and anti-armor, they wouldn't stand a chance.
Oh wow, I read that as American instead of Armed. My bad.
Still, most countries have invested in an at least semi-capable army and they're organized. Revolution just doesn't work unless the political climate is in such a manner that the main army is strangling itself trying to get organized with all of the unhappy people.
The thing about making witty signature lines is that it first needs to actually be witty.A "revolution" is possible, but it'll be sponsored by Chevron.
I'm a skeptical squirrelIn order for people to want to rebel, the risks of revolution have outweigh the benefits of the current government. Right now, the American government keeps enough people safe and well fed enough to avoid that.
I can't really think of anything as opening words yet, but have at it. I didn't want this kind of talk overflowing in any political threads.
