Well technically they're not doing that bad compared to how any other countries are doing...especially considering the force of the earthquake.
But I guess it's more of a morale thing.
"Every opinion that isn't mine is subjected to Your Mileage May Vary."Also Stormfront is surprisingly politically correct. They've banned the n word at this point.
But you're right, you definitely can't judge racism towards Asians and Japan by White Nationalists. Because white nationalists freaking love Asians. And especially Japan. Well, love is quite a strong word, but they're a lot more positive toward them. Doesn't make racism towards Asians or White Nationalist behaviour any better, though.

Genkidama for Japan, even if you don't have money, you can help![1]The death toll is now supposedly more than TWICE that of 9/11. To think that people see "the deaths of more than twice as many civilians as died in 9/11" as justified, just because those civilians happened to be from the same country whose military bombed Pearl Harbour decades ago, just strikes me as selective reasoning.
Do these people have any idea what the militaries of western countries, such as the US or UK, have a record of doing?

More to the point, the Japanese already GOT their just deserts for Pearl Harbor. Many times over.
A brighter future for a darker age. Many, many times over.
I think they got enough shit to even pay back for their crimes in China, Indonesia, Burma, Malaysia, and so on.
Not that I believe in any sort of justice in a country getting bombed to "pay back" for its crimes (I think justice would've been done even if not a single bomb had ever hit Japan, as long as they gave up the territory they conquered, paid compensation for their victims, became democratic, had war crime trials and all that.) But if I did, Japan got what it, by that logic, "had coming".

Quod gratis asseritur, gratis negatur. To add insult to injury, the "just deserts" japan got way back was directed mostly towards the civilians at home, rather than any of the militaries.
"Every opinion that isn't mine is subjected to Your Mileage May Vary."I don't know WHAT it is about the U.S. and PH, but if 20 years from now another terrible natural disaster hits Japan, you will STILL get a bunch of people saying it's payback for PH like this one never happened. I'm calling it right freakin' now.
I can only assume it's that we're so used to hearing about other people getting bombed or our military getting shot at, but most Americans can't recall any other times where American soil has been attacked other than Pearl Harbor and 9/11. So given a small sample size, they pour all their "the homeland has been attacked!" angst into those two.
Or to put it in wider terms, if a Tsunami hits Great Britain, I guarantee "#redcoat" would be all over Twitter.

I'm a skeptical squirrelHave I mentioned how fist-clenchingly angry those idiots make me? I wonder if any of them would see it if I posted something inflammatory toward everyone mocking the disaster on my Facebook.
Are you kidding? I'd give them credit for knowing their history that far back!
@That Douchebag Who Thought The Firebombings Not Killing Tezuka Was A Bad Thing
The firebombings sparing the life of Osamu Tezuka is not a tragedy, it is probably, in the face of horrible human cruelty a response by whatever deity exists to protect Japan to spare it from a complete cultural void. Anime is not what ruined Japan, it's what helped it rebuild itself post-war. Whether you don't like anime is irrelevant, but Tezuka don't deserve this much hatin'.
I also believe that in a similar circumstance, saying that a natural disaster devastating Germany being blamed on karma for Nazis would be unnecessary and cruel also. Young people in Germany today have enough to deal with without their young and unrelated to World War II lives being hated on with Godwin's Law. Especially since a lot of them are into wooden board games with little to no violence in them as opposed to the supposed murderers films like The Human Centipede make 'em out to be.
Does this logic make sense? Well, think of it this way, when was the last time you were ever directly wronged by Japan. In your lifetime, your granddaddy's time doesn't count because you probably weren't alive then. Anytime? Did a Japanese man stub your toe in a restaurant or attempt to harm you in any way? Probably not actually. Especially the immigrant Asian people who come to my campus, the majority of them just want to be appreciated as human beings. They're less afraid of white people as they are afraid of being pidgeonholed into categories of identity.
Hell Hasn't Earned My Tears
Most Chinese (and Hong Kong people, in this case) are sympathetic towards Japanese in this disaster (well, most), and if you really want to get on this topic, we suffered even worse than US. Since we don't really care about it now (especially in this time), maybe you guys shouldn't either.
