Rename?: Gonna Need A Bigger Warrant

It was only necro'd today and the name suggestion was made about three hours ago. It at least needs a little more time. Crowner wouldn't hurt, though.

I support Madrugada's title, it's the accurate one.

The current main title "Gonna..." sounds like police going up against a megacorporation for whatever reason.

The current redirect "A Far..." sounds like a sequel being Darker and Edgier than the first movie.

There is now a single proposition rename crowner for this trope here.

There's no reason to rename. Redirect farming will solve whatever problem wziara

I am open to arguments for not going to an alternative titles crowner yet, but I think that given the unchanging support for a rename in the single proposition crowner, it is alright to make an alternative titles one. You can find that crowner here. Feel free to add names as you see fit.

Gonna Need A Bigger Warrant and its redirect A Far More Sinister Plot are now redirects of Minor Crime Reveals Major Plot. There is now a new laconic page while the old one is on the cutlist. The wicks are fixed and there are notes about the change on the Renamed Tropes page and in the renamed tropes thread.

I also sent a report about moving the archived discussion found here. However, I am not confident that I did that correctly, so feel free to check that and tell me if I made any mistakes anywhere else.

There were a couple of examples that were not about crimes and were simply Plot Escalation in general. I think that might be grounds for a supertrope, but I feel like we can talk about that in another thread or in YKTTW.

There's no way to move an archived discussion that is accessible to mods. It's not exactly that big, anyway.

Actually, the "Move Discussion" tool on the new-style discussion page will move the archived discussion to the new page.
