The coolest canon immigrant is clearly Isaac McDougal.
0˚C is pretty cool.
I have a message from another time...Who's 0˚C?
The unknown third brother to Bi Han and Kuai Li. They didn't like to talk about him, and he was killed by Scorpion in the Mortal Kombat X trailer.
On the 2003 vs Brotherhood debate, I prefer the Manga storyline, (Brotherhood did do some things better, like how Ed finding out about Maes Hughes' death) and I couldn't really get into the 2003 Anime. But I respect people who do prefer it. If anything from all i've seen it's very good at balancing tone, the cinematography is better, and I like it's themes and diverging ideas. I see preference as which kind of story you prefer.
I will say however, some aspects of the 2003 Anime, like Ed going into that weird overcharge at Lab 5 and Robocop Archer just felt weird and out of place, given the kind of tone they seemed to be going for.
A corpse should be left well enough alone...
The freezing point of water.
I have a message from another time...It's been a long time since I've seen the first series, but I think Archer was supposed to be an example of how corrupt the military was, before it was revealed that Pride was the Fuhrer. And after that, well... you got me, but it's almost like the Umbridge/Voldemort situation with Archer and Dante: you hate the former more than the latter, even though you're supposed to hate the latter more, just because the former is so... hate-able. I mean, it's pretty obvious we're supposed to hate this guy; he takes Hughes's place AND loves war.
You are a lovely human being.I meant Archer turning into a Cyborg near the end, rather than his personality.
A corpse should be left well enough alone...Cyborg!Archer is one of those things that seems silly, but actually kinda makes sense. If a couple of mechanics in a rural house can built fully-functioning robot limbs, a well-funded government lab should be able to go even farther. Then again, automail has never really made a whole lot of sense given the rest of the series's setting.
Well... yeah. War-loving half-Cyborg. I agree, not matching the tone at all.

You are a lovely human being.I felt sorry for Archer after he became a cyborg. We see a brief glimpse of him after Scar's Philosopher Stone'ing of the soldiers and he is SERIOUSLY fucked up. One of the people attending him says they are going to "help."
I don't think they helped at all. They probably just caused him even more agony with all the replacement parts. The fact he's all but insane (in a much more brutal and direct way than he used to be) shows how far gone he is due to all the trauma.

Had Archer listen to Edward he wouldn't have been in that predicament. He made his own bed.
The best example within just one storyline of Umbridge vs Voldemort would be Manga!Kimblee vs Father.
While Archer does make a good Umbridge, Dante isn't quite a Voldemort. Voldemort never had a concept of love and is a very very mythical kind of character in general. What you see is what you get.
Dante may have actually been good once, and you really don't understand everything there is to her until almost the end.
Father is the closest thing the canons have to Voldemort. And there really isn't a good Umbridge in Brotherhood since all the corrupt military people are pretty much just power-hungry chumps rather with any intellect or manipulative edge.
Someone'd have to make a fanfic in which both Archer ''and' Father exist to get a good clash of the two kinds.
Speaking of, are there any good fics where both canons characters interact?
True, true. And nope, but it would be awesome.
You are a lovely human being. So I just watched 'Cold Flame' from Brotherhood. What confused me most is why Mustang killed Mary Ross. Was he really fooled and thought she killed Hughes?
It's explained in a couple episodes. Possibly next episode; can't recall.
I thought the Mary Ross things was a gambit setup by Mustang She didn't really die, it was fake or so I recall.
"Eratoeir is a Gangsta."He hasn't watched the entire series yet.
In all seriousness that's what I thought happened originally and was very dissatisfied with the actual turnout.
Dissatisfied with what your theory or what Roy did?
Dissatisfied that it was actually Roy that did that, while that was a cool gambit that she got to live and all, it would've been cooler if Envy really did kill her while shapeshifted as Roy.
Um...
That wouldn't make sense, because there framing Ross to get Roy off there tail. Not framing Roy for murder.
Besides I don't think Envy can use fire alchemy
Even ignoring the fact that none of the homonculi ever display the ability to use alchemy, with the sole exception of Pride near the end, who is still remotely activating the transmutation by manipulating an alchemist than outright performing it himself, as the sole inheritor to the technique, Flame Alchemy is unique to Roy Mustang. Also, as noted, framing Mustang would defeat the purpose of what they were trying to do here.
There is a LOT that would have to be different in the story for that to be Envy.

My Tumblr. Currently liveblogging Haruhi Suzumiya and revisiting Danganronpa V3.If they did framed Mustang that would make the whole set up even more obvious! Envy's stupid, but he's not that stupid!
Yogi's that guy who used to be a cruel count who ruled his domain until the Elric's tricked him out of his fortune right? Remind me why he's tagging along with Scar, Dr. Marcos, and May Chang?
I really don't see your point, but eh. In the end, a canon immigrant from 2003 would be unnecessary in the long run.
And there we're times they we're together, remember Al helping rebuild lior? And May was 14 in that picture. And I odn't what you mean by escaping the connsquences.
And as for your last point Hohenheim offer to sacrifice himself to save Al, but Ed refuse to let him do that. He even tries to say that was the best thing got him to do. But Ed refuse regardless even calling him father that was pretty effective to me than his death in Shamaballa and how it was excuted. Seeing Hohenheim's death by closing Envy's dragon mouth was very narmy.
