Well, Shujinko is a Chinese dude with a Japanese name that means "Main Character". Yeah, don't get it either.

Oh, god, when the camera panned out on Quan Chi's face, for a second I thought it was gonna show him buried to his neck in sand.

Actually, those two endings (put together in some way) are actually semi-canon. Sub-Zero and Scorpion make another truce, and Scorpion drags Quan Chi to the Netherrealm, where he proceeds to beat the s*** out of Quan Chi and chases him relentlessly (until Moloch and Drahmin interfere). Quan Chi escapes and discovers the tomb of the Dragon King and his army, thus starting the plot of Deadly Alliance.

At this point, they should just forget about Liu Kang and make Scorpion the official main character. He basically already is in all but name anyway.

And at some point Scorpion buries Quan Chi in sand and sets ants on him.

Don't ask me why but I just find that hilariously funny.

^ I've always personally seen Scorpion as the main character. Maybe because I've always hated Liu Kang, at least until MK 9 made him relatable.

I love how Shinnok's cry of "NOOOOOOOOOOOONNNNNSEEEEEEEENSSSSSE!!!" is cut off by Quan Chi blasting him to bits (unlike the original version).

After this Quan Chi kicked Scopion into the lava then ran being hunted by Scopion and having to kill or chase him off all the time then the two Oni helped him out in exchange for getting out of the neather realm. He then betrayed them by not letting them come to Outworld with him for no reason really. Then with some help from Shang Tsung got rid of Scopion again then the Deadly alliance was formed

Seriously that is hilarious.

Here is somthing I just figured out because Sub Zero is dead Quan Chi will not betray Scorpion and will keep him as a servent meaning once Shinnok wins Quan Chi will despose of him with his amulet like he planned to.

Question of all the main Villains (aka guy's who have been a final Boss minus Blaze) who do you think is the Biggest threat and the order of their strength

Shang Tsung, Shao Kahn, Shinnok, Quan Chi, Onaga.

In terms of strength, Shinnok should be the biggest threat, as he's a fallen Elder God, but that hasn't exactly held water. Next would be Onaga, who Shao Kahn had to deceive in order to defeat (and in Unchained, his ending has him teaming up with Goro to beat Onaga, obviously implying that Onaga is not to be f***ed with). Next is obviously Shao Khan. Shang Tsung and Quan Chi aren't as individually powerful, but their mastery of magic makes them formidable (it should be noted that Shao Kahn also has knowledge of magic). Quan Chi is ultimately more dangerous than the others (barring maybe Shao Kahn and Onaga), as he's able to outsmart everyone. It comes with the territory of being a Villain Sue.

Well, seeing as the new timeline is meant to avert Armageddon, and one of the major steps to doing so would be preventing Onaga from being awakened in the first place (which is quite easy to do with one simple change: Scorpion, the true champion of the Elder Gods, kills Shujinko before he does it).

Something tells me that Shinnok will gain a significant power boost from 4, but that Quan Chi will be the True Final Boss. He's the guy who pulls all the strings in this series, after all.
