Three thoughts:

1) That man deserves to be where he is.

2) Those women aren't what I call... bright.

3) Those kids need some serious help.

It's funny as in some cultures the nanny or mother jerking off their children is considered a good idea, to get them to fall asleep..... (French Royalty, as an example used to do this).

Wonder how the Yahoo! E-stoner commenters would react @ that xD

Hmm... not to bash on women, but I've seen dumber.

Just search "water broke" on Yahoo Answers.

Actually, just search Yahoo Answers for non-gender related stupidity.

Fair enough, but do you people consider it fair what's happening to those mothers, stupid or not? Would you consider it the case that they did it voluntarily or that they were manipulated in a manner that they could not have foreseen in certain cases?

Reminds me of the time when someone convinced employees at a fast food restaurant to strip search a costumer over the phone.

^^ I'm not particularly disposed to cut slack to the mothers, it's the children I'm worried about.

It's not fair, the dude is to blame given he managed to con and manipulate them so well.

Unless the mothers show evidence of mental disability or have been living under a rock the past 20 years, I think it's reasonable to assume they knew about child sexual abuse. I'd say both the mothers and this fake psychiatrist should be held criminally responsible for the children's abuse, and the children should be placed in someone else's care.

If I'm asking for advice on a story idea, don't tell me it can't be done.

Agreed; I'm not seeing the mothers as innocent. You don't perform sexual acts on your kid because somebody on the Internet tells you to. (Well, obviously you do, but you know what I mean.) The guy was a manipulator, but the mothers as adults/parents should be held responsible too, unless mental disability was a factor (and it can't have been for all of them).

Seriously, what the heck!?

How can those mothers be so moronic? It's clear Demnik isn't the only guilty part here, I mean really, no one does that to their child unless they already wanted to do it and wanted assurance, or they were under a death threat of some sort.

I don't think the penalties associated with child pornography are necessarily fair in the first place. I mean, for instance, teenagers engaged in sexting or a guy with hentai on his computer are not in the same galaxy of "threat to society" as someone who, with no outside manipulation, takes it upon themselves to film themselves fucking a child. So I suppose this case would be a subset of that. These mothers have demonstrated sufficiently poor judgment to make them unfit parents, and the punitive system would be remiss in ignoring any harm their stupidity may have wrought, but I don't consider them sexual predators.

And this is why you don't use one source for all your "advice". If these women had asked others what they thought of this person's advice, they would probably had figured out that the advice he was giving probably wasn't the best.

Given that he'd been doing this for over a year, I think this whole incident lends credence to my argument in the "What would you do in this murder case?" thread.
