• Name: Kiyohiko TAKUMI
• Age: 17
• Gender: Male
• Appearance: Though shorter than most Japanese boys and even some of the girls his age, Kiyohiko still manages to project a regal and even somewhat intimidating appearance. His features are sharp and angular, and both his eyes and hair are of an icy blue color. Kiyohiko wears thin-rimmed, rectangular glasses, and keeps his mid-long hair neatly parted,
• Background: The Takumi family is an old samurai family. During the war they provided several officers into the Imperial Army, but after Japan's loss they turned their efforts towards rebuilding postwar Japan and abandoned military pursuits in favor of civilian ones. These days most of the extended family is made of CE Os of various corporations, but old habits die hard, especially in the main family. Kiyohiko has received a broad samurai education, comprising equally both armed and unarmed martial arts as well as calligraphy and tea preparation.
• Personality: The strict military upbringing has had its consequences: Kiyohiko is exceptionally good at achieving his goals, but largely incapable of setting them for himself. He's lived his entire following his parents' wishes, going specifically to ask for them even in the few cases they didn't immediately make them known themselves. Kiyohiko lacks the desire people have to pursue relationships and recreation; his life comprises largely of moving from one achievement to the next and dreading the time in-between.
• Relationships: It was this quality of his that first caught the interest of Yukino Satomi: Kiyohiko's single-minded determination in his tasks inspired respect in his similarly-oriented classmate. While never rude (as he has been trained not be), Kiyohiko's by-the-books manner had alienated him from most of his other classmates, but Yukino weathered through it into the odd sort of friendship the two presently share. Following Yukino's transformation into a magical girl, Kiyohiko is for the first time experiencing wanting something for himself: instead of doing the rational thing and staying the hell away from the supernatural, his attachment to Yukino has led to a (for him) incomprehensible compulsion to accompany her on her witch hunts.
• Other: Kiyohiko is a member of the school's kendo club, as well as its star. While he has some experience with both archery and hand-to-hand combat as a result of his upbringing, swordwork is the area at which he particularly shines.

City is Imaizumi, same as Yukino, of course. Details are still subject to change in case lockon had something in his mind.

◦Name: Izanami Hiroko

◦City: Fujiwara City

◦Age: 16

◦Gender: Female

◦Appearance: Hiroko is fairly short, although not especially short for her age. A member of her high school's track team, Hiroko is very athletic, thought not especially strong. Still, she's a good runner and has good reflexes. She's got a fairly well-proportioned body from exercise, and has been described as attractive by some of the other students at her school. Hiroko has black hair down to her mid-back, green eyes, and an average-sized chest.

◦Personality: From the outside, Hiroko generally seems to be normal. She's energetic, and usually fairly cheerful. She has her occasional moments of melancholy that seem wholly inexplicable to those around her. In addition to these moments, unless Hiroko is with friends, she's often hiding crushing boredom. She finds most things in life to be drab, and dull, and wishes there was some way to change it all.

I wasn't interested in this in the least.

Then I saw two RP threads with this name in the RP subforum.

Now I'm interested. I'll take a look at the anime and check back in later.

• Name: Shinkira Sakura (westernized: Sakura Shinkira)
• City: Fujiwara
• Age: 16
• Gender: Female
• Appearance: A White-Haired Pretty Girl with sincere blue eyes, she usually dresses in all black, and a nice little hat. She has a thin, but strangely nourished and strong body.
• Personality: A Yamato Nadeshiko to the extremes of being an Extreme Doormat. She never speaks up for herself, never ever, though inside she has a formidable hatred building for those who slap her for the slightest mess up or imperfection. She is incredibly angry, but also wants "HER brother back." Her " step brother" became her step sister by wishing to be a woman and become a defender. Sakura is always searching for ways to forcibly turn her back into a him, and its implied they had something squicky going on. It turns out it was all hallucinations caused because she was always sacrificing her food for others except when she was desperately in need herself, and so she hallucinated her brother seducing her. She hallucinated a whole lot more than that, though...However, a downside to her ability is that she needs to snap for her abilities to work at all. And this is difficult and would need a whole Trauma Conga Line just to make it happen.

1. Magical Girl:

• Wish: Power to make anything possible
• Wish derived special ability: Her power is destruction, simply put. She can fire off explosions and black lightning, and when at full power, a disc appears on her back, and tentacles emerge from it, twelve swords attached.
• Weapon: Night Blackness, a huge BFS she can wield in one hand and use for spell casting.
• Magical Girl Costume: Essentially an all black, skin tight outfit with a lot of red armor pieces, including two on her hands, making her hands look like claws. These "claws" cut up whatever she is trying to hold, resulting in her accidentally hurting people when she snaps, furthering the psychosis. Her cape seems animate and has a mind of its own.
• Other: her power has become warped, but she does not fight often, thus the full extent of her destructive urges is not known. By now, she has some destructive capabilities, but she is held back by her emotions and Yamato Nadeshiko personality. Only when she snaps can she use her powers at all. Its, at the current time, a case of split personality disorder, a nice, calm, mellow and sweet girl on the one side, and a dark Yandere on the other.In reality, her soul gem is unbelievably corrupt, and on the verge of making her into a witch.

Sorry Nick, but that character wouldn't work. I cannot imagine her interacting on any level with the rest of the characters and her powers are incredibly broken.

Pfft, of course. You tell me its Grimdark and then you say this?

I think the issue is more that she has no reason to cooperate with any of our characters, nor interact with them in any way beyond killing them - and due to her Roguelike abilities, that would be far too easy for her to accomplish. It's not an issue of being Grimdark, it's an issue of being overpowered.

And as I stated, her abilities are only available when she snaps. And she is a Yamato Nadeshiko, so that does not happen often.

When not mad, she is a sweet little thing who likes socializing and talking with friends.

If I accept her I'm allowing a character that when you decide she snaps can kill everyone in the game.

Furthermore, I already rejected a character because they claimed relation to another Magical Girl. Your character is the sister of a boy turned magical, which are something that hasn't ever happened before. I added them in the Sign up sheet, I admit, but those who signed up as boys are going to be first ones ever.

If its any consolation, I have been working on my writing and I am trying to not be so hasty with characters now.

As for the boy turned magical thing, it is an important part of her dark side. I have just always wanted to play a character like her.

Toned her down immensely. She can be a Sakura expy without being overpowered.

I also mentioned that having a magical girl brother wasn't allowed. Her skill set also do not work... She looks and has a move set more like a witch than a Magical Girl.

Following doing some research, a more creepy explanation can be reached. She is already starting the maturation process into a witch. Its obvious her Gem would be pretty corrupt. A little trauma would push her until she half way becomes a witch, becoming...that.

She is delusional. Her brother? He never became a Maho Shoujo. That was a hallucination caused by her malnutrition as well.

I'm not going to spoil things from the show. We're working with the mechanics they show to us; that means that y'all should be caught up.

^Becoming a Witch is an all-or-nothing process as far as we know. Whatever Sayaka did on the train in Episode 8 would work once, and then I'm guessing she only managed to come back as long as she did because of her sense of justice and such. Now that we've seen how Witches are born, it's implied that the birth is rather destructive, or at the least, it destroys the Puella Magi's body.

Exactly. When the transformation happens, lets just say we are left with something you'd rather not think about this late at night.

There is only one transformation, as far as I'm aware. There is no partial transformations. One minute you're a healthy Magical Girl; the next you're a witch.

Still denied. A MG's abilities do not change over time with more corruption, which would mean that she started off with the black armor and tentacles, evil look and the destructive powers. A Magical Girl should resemble a Magical Girl of some kind. They are supposed to represent hope and wishes. Image is important.

If she becomes a witch she will also lose her human form, becoming something weird and bizarre. If she's about to turn into a witch that means she'll become an enemy and we'll have to kill her early on.

Even with your assurances Nick, I'll have the feeling that you'll play along only for the moment in which you can have her snap. And she seems pretty ready to snap.
