The Parkour style needs to die and stay dead. It was a good idea in theory, but in practice, it just slows you down. I never thought anything would make me prefer the scripted events to something else.

The Boost style still has untapped potential, on the other hand. For example, there's no way to do the spin dash, but with a little extra polish, spin dashing and boosting could coexist peacefully in one game.

I'd like a return to either the Boost style or the Adventure style. If we return to the Boost style, I want Sonic Rush 3. If we return to the Adventure style, I want Blaze to be playable.

[up][up] In Generations you can do the spin dash. When you drift, Sonic spin dash in place instead of the usual drifting movement.

@Zelenal: What do you want if the next Boost style game is 3D, then?

[up][up]That's not the Spin Dash, that's drifting with the Spinning animation. Its only visual cosmetic stuff, same as when he spins when hitting a Dash pad. It really serves no purpose otherwise.

[up][up][up]Think he means as an actual mechanic, not a conditional thing that's basically just a glorified kart race segment with copious amounts of snaking. (somewhat [nja])

I had no real issue with the parkour style as an idea. They just needed to iron out a lot of its kinks, like it not working the way it should half the time. I have never been able to beat Frozen Factory 1 legitimately due to that one section where you are outright required to parkour across a wall—a wall that takes you to a boost pad or pipe or something like that that pretty much right to the end of the level.

Honestly, my big issue with Lost World was the mediocre level design, not so much the mechanics. Levels were either bland and uninteresting or unfairly difficult (with most leaning toward the former than the latter).

I'm still waiting for SEGA and Nintendo to make the Sonic/Kirby crossover games I thought up when I was like 12 years old. It could work, dammit!

I think parkour style could work. I think the run button was really unessesary. I think maybe go back to adventure style, kill boosting, and make him faster, keep drifting, but give him back normal spin-dash too, and incorporate parkour somehow.

[up][up][up][up] Hmm... Well, they've got Sonic's gameplay pretty much perfected so that leaves working in new characters. The logical place to start would be with characters that would have similar but slightly different gameplay styles so that means characters like Blaze and Shadow. From there, they could slowly branch out to find gameplay styles that work best of each character without moving too far away from the core of the Sonic franchise.

Looks terrible to me. It's like verything people didn't want from a Sonic game in a Sonic game.

Don't know. The cartoon looks like it might be okay, but I really dislike the designs. Could of just used Sonic's normal model with the funny costume and everyone would have been okay with it. All of them are too tall, and they have hands that seem... eh, disproportionately small for cartoons. It's weird.

And Sticks is just unessesary. Couldn't have taken a character from the comics or Sonic Sat AM could ya? Just had to make a new one.

Rise of Lyrics looks like it's going to suck, but I would love to be proven wrong. I'm more optimistic about Shattered Crystal since it just seems to be a just a 2D Sonic game.

I'm still hyped, and I like how Amy sounds now that I've heard her again. Can't really place who's doing Shadow's voice though.

Though that was less of a "Shadow Trailer" and more of a general "new" trailer that happened to show that he's in the game at the end.

I'm in different to Boom, mostly because it looks mediocre and because I don't there's much that excites me about Sonic anymore.

[up][up]All the voice actors are the same, Shadow is still Kirk Thorton.

[up][up][up]A new universe brings new characters...I don't get why they should use characters from other continuities when they are trying to be their own thing.

[up]'Cause Sonic already has a clusterfuck of characters. It's fine, they can do what they want, but it just seems silly to me to make new characters when there's already plenty to choose from.

[down]I'm not saying they shouldn't make any new characters at all, I'm saying that they should just pick someone from a different canon if they're conceptually similar to want they need. From what I hear of Sticks, she doesn't sound much like Marine, she's just aesthetically similar, but they could have found a character from the comics or something that's conceptually similar that they could have used instead of making the new one.

In the regular Universe, sure. This is a unique Universe. They shouldn't be locked into using old characters. That's just restricting their choices when there's no reason to do so. I would've liked it better if Sticks wasn't basically designed similar to Marine, though.

...It's weird having so many websites and no way to properly display now, lol.

[up][up][up]She's not conceptually similar...they have the same face and color scheme. That's all there is, Sticks is a different animal, has a completely different personality, and different design.

So I tried out the Crisis City stage for Sonic World. It's pretty cool but it brings out every flaw in the gameplay. There's even a Game-Breaking Bug as the game will sometimes take control away from you for certain sequences (which is usually a good idea) but sometimes you'll just completely phase through the hoop for absolutely no reason and, if control was taken from you, you won't get it back.

So I haven't managed to beat the stage.

Yep.

Also, don't play the Sky Fleet 03 Remake. It's confusing; there were many times where I didn't know where to go; the road can be really hard to see and stay on at times; most of the items are almost completely in the ground; and you'll clip right through items, boost pads, and springs more often than not.
