Let the joy of love give you an answer! Check out my book!Sonic Adventure's Bonus Stage (skip to 3:20) and Sonic All-Stars Racing Transformed beg to differ:
While neither are pure Sonic gameplay, the concept is there.
If the Storybook games hadn't decided to drop Sonic into fantasy worlds the way they did, you might have had a point there. It would be so easy for Sonic to "fall asleep" and end up in Nightopia.
Ni GH Ts is such an old property though, it'd be like Nintendo coming out with some Super Mario Bros HD Remake, or a new Yoshi's Story or Donkey Kong Country... oh wait.

Akira Toriyama (April 5 1955 - March 1, 2024).No, it'd be like Nintendo making an HD remake of The Mysterious Murasame Castle.

Let the joy of love give you an answer! Check out my book!Well, let's not forget, there was a Wii Ni GHTS game (that is purportedly a mixed bag in terms of quality—can't say for myself, since while I own it, I haven't played it yet).
Insert witty 'n clever quip here. That game suffered almost the exact same fate as Sonic '06: interference from Sega causing them to rush development, resulting in a mediocre product.
It was originally a PS3/360 game, but Sega had the (by Yuji Naka's admission, brilliant) idea that the IR pointer would be perfect for NiGHTS. So they forced Sonic Team to scrap the current build and rush a new one for the Wii.
Please help out our The History Of Video Games page.I say a Sonic/Ni GHTS crossover would probably suck because I personally think that NID is barely average (and apparently the sequel is even worse), and the Sonic franchise is currently in a state of disrepair, as much as I hate to admit it. I just don't think Sonic Team has it in 'em.
It's one thing to make a spectacle. It's another to make a difference. You joke, but that's actually very true; now more than ever.
It's one thing to make a spectacle. It's another to make a difference. So Sonic Boom is going to be a video game prequel to a television show?
...How many times has this happened before, exactly?
Your Honor...Recursive Adaptation? Probably a lot more than we're realizing.
This is the first time I've heard of this sort of thing being done and advertised concurrently, as part of the same project. Usually it's more along the lines of licensed games.

"The difference between reality and fiction is that fiction has to make sense." - Tom Clancy, paraphrasing Mark Twain.A video game to a cartoon back to a video game.
I might just pick up the game because of how weird the concept of it is.
Your Honor...I hope they add Honey at some point.
What role would she even serve?
Dakota's blog An odd agent of justiceI dunno.
This game's take on the Speed/Flight/Power team system isn't quite as rigid as Heroes, so it might not even matter if she blended between types.
I mean, Ray is somewhere between Tails/Cream and Knuckles.

I guess Honey would be a good strength factor.
Dakota's blog An odd agent of justiceSo I'm like "You know what? Fuck this video. I can play as Blaze so that's more than enough of a reason for me to play it right now." So I pull up the website.
