That being said, if the comic is ending, that means it's maybe finally safe for me to get back to collecting them? There's gonna be a finite number I need to get my hands on, so I can easily fill in the gaps I'm missing (not counting issues like 0 through around 7 I think...I have most of the ones after that, I know for a fact the earliest one I own is issue 8, since I remember reading that one a lot as a kid).
Looks like 291's gonna be the final main series issue (meaning for me I have about 100 issues to acquire), which is incredibly respectable. It had a good run, and although it wasn't always good in terms of writing and art (what even are most of the issues between around 51 through when Flynn took over), it's impressive it managed to stay around for so long and even greatly improve by the end of its run.
How many issues of Sonic Universe have there been? I'd actually gotten out of the loop by the time that premiered.
also let's be real should I even bother trying to get the Sonic X comics, since honestly I barely even cared about the show when it was being produced.

If the comic's ending. Which, by all means, it may not be. Like I said last page, someone called up Archie and, from the look of things, it may have turned out to just be one big misunderstanding. So we still need to wait and see on this one.

Despite how good Mania will be, I hope its sales don't mess with FP 2's too badly, it needs all the help it can get.

It did a lot to spread the word since Nintendo sites would suddenly deign to mention it, otherwise on PC it sold alright but it had been completely overshadowed by Shovel Knight. It was the 22nd best selling game for WII U in 2016, just behind Splatoon, and above Ninja Gaiden 1, Excite Bike, and Earthbound.

The Wii U under preforming has nothing to do with Splatoon's ranking on the list of top selling Wii U games.

Most people who own a Wii U own Splatoon.
I think timing may also be a key part as Splatoon came out during the 2014-2015 period where we were getting a lot of great Wii U titles.
Regarding the comic: One thing I did like was that it actually used the characters that got Cunninghammed in the games.

So since nobody posted this yet, I figured I'd better do the honors: The comic is still alive and kicking, and it's even doing an adaption of Sega Sonic the Hedgehog to boot. (You know, that old arcade game with Ray and Mighty? Yeah, they're going there.)

As it is, I consider Final Dreadnought to be the finest Death Egg level never made, it takes everything good about Sonic final stages and spikes them on crack with ten times the explosions and robots and guns.

The devs did confirm Taxman worked on FP 2's physics before he did Mania.

I would have expected to see a new zone reveal by now but I guess they want to keep most of the game under wraps.
Main Character
We're of too different scoops of ice cream, you and I.
The comics actually have a plot, the differences keep it from relying on the same lazy, inconsistent set of characters and the underdeveloped setting all the time, and Ian Flynn might be overrated but blanket statements are easily the best kind of criticism. I give the comics credit for actually developing characters and taking aspects of the series (Knuckles race, the Chaos emeralds and Super Forms, Amy, etc) farther than the games ever bothered.
