Was it full of bottomless pit areas oh wait. Anyways I think this will be the format for the Sonic Series release new installments to go with the tv show the Sonic Boom era has begun.

Mileena MadnessIt also didn't have dying cats for a soundtrack.
You know, I have to wonder why Pit is obsessed with this site. It’s gonna ruin his life!Dimps also did Kirby And The Amazing Mirror, kind of a cult entry in the Kirby series. It's pretty distinct from the other GBA-styled Kirby games in that while it does use the same platforming and visual styles, it's also a Metroidvania...which works to varying degrees, good in some areas, meh in others. And they add some new enemies into the mix, but most of those new enemies are reeeeeeeally lame. Box Boxer might have one of the stupidest designs and names out of every single Kirby enemy. Still, the game does have Master Hand and debuted the Smash ability into the mainline Kirby games.
Also of note is that some of the rooms in the game are incredibly bullshit with enemy placement and hazards, and, yes, even bottomless pits in some areas. The level design in the game is just plain awkward overall, though that might be partially due to Kirby's style of platforming not exactly having been designed for a Metroidvania.
It's a mixed bag of a game, but the good things it does are pretty good.

Insert witty 'n clever quip here.Dimps has done a ton of stuff. They made the original DBZ Budokai games and co-developed Street Fighter 4 and 5.
"Dying cats" because that didn't get old within months after the game's release.
It's one thing to make a spectacle. It's another to make a difference.I think you're somewhat understating how well-recieved Amazing Mirror was - "cult game" may be underselling it. IIRC, it was well regarded outside of the fanbase and is still fairly popular by those in it - it's definitely not considered a black sheep or anything.

"The difference between reality and fiction is that fiction has to make sense." - Tom Clancy, paraphrasing Mark Twain.I just wanted to make that joke since there was a "bottomless pit zone" joke just before that one.
You know, I have to wonder why Pit is obsessed with this site. It’s gonna ruin his life! But it's also not exactly the most well-known beyond the Kirby fanbase (the game supposedly also having become rare and hard to find on its original platform after release), even if it's popular within the fanbase, which is why I call it a cult entry. I honestly hear people talk more about Squeak Squad than Amazing Mirror.
Insert witty 'n clever quip here.Just picked up Sonic 2 from the 2DS Eshop. Is it a straight VC-esque improved port or does it have the Taxman & Stealth update with Hidden Palace in it?
The three finest things in life are to splat your enemies, drive them from their turf, and hear their lamentations as their rank falls! No game beyond Superstar and maybe Nightmare In Dream Land are all that well known outside the Kirby fanbase, and even then outside of fans those games more get the occasional nostalgia than actual recognition. It's not like Mario or Call of Duty, where people are aware of the games its cranking out even though they don't actually pay attention to them: Kirby games tend to blip on the radar when they come out and then get forgotten, except by fans of the series.
Because of that, using non-fans to measure whether a specific game in the series is "cult" in comparison to the others doesn't make a lot of sense, since they wouldn't know about that anyway. By those standards, the series itself is cult.

"The difference between reality and fiction is that fiction has to make sense." - Tom Clancy, paraphrasing Mark Twain. An Ordinary Sonic ROM Hack was pretty interesting for a creepypasta-inspired hack, also Sonic 2 XL has the funniest added mechanic.
The three finest things in life are to splat your enemies, drive them from their turf, and hear their lamentations as their rank falls!T Hat's mostly because Kirby's games are rather infrequent; on the average, we get a Kirby game every one to two years, with no spin offs in bewteen. Last game was Rainbow Curse if I recall and that was almost a year ago.
A lazy millennial who's good at what he does.Whereas Mario and COD release a game every year.
You know, I have to wonder why Pit is obsessed with this site. It’s gonna ruin his life! The sonic 2 VC release is not the Taxman remake.
Zetsubooooo.
A lazy millennial who's good at what he does.Oh well, I already have the iOS version as well in my ancient iPad.
The three finest things in life are to splat your enemies, drive them from their turf, and hear their lamentations as their rank falls!Looking at a Lost World boss run, the Deadly Six have to be some of the lamest and flattest villains in the series yet. And I never want to see Sonic take "inspiration" from Mario Galaxy ever again.
I get the comparison in regards to the stages, but how are the Deadly Six or their boss fights supposed to be ripped from Galaxy?
I could maybe see them as Koopaling inspired, but they weren't in Galaxy.

"The difference between reality and fiction is that fiction has to make sense." - Tom Clancy, paraphrasing Mark Twain.I mean moreso the stages. But TBH I don't like Galaxy so of course such styled levels are a turn off for me.
Really I don't think Sonic should look for inspiration in Mario because they play so differently. Lost World seemed like it suffered from that.
Personally, I feel Lost World's gameplay fits Sonic's character best. But it definitely needs to be tweaked for potential future releases, and the level design needs to be better than 'fastest route is along the lowest end of the tubes'.
I do writing, feel free to check out my stories here! https://numbugwritingblog.tumblr.com/post/686233243868102656/numbugs-shared-heroic-uniThe gameplay was fine, if kinda unpolished, just the level design was incredibly meh.
Insert witty 'n clever quip here.Which is weird, because usually Sonic has good level design.
Honestly, Sonic has Super-Speed. Running up and along walls at will should be a thing the player could do. but it's not.
Only sometimes we are presented with some specific bits programmed for it, but that's it.
Though Lost World's wall running felt a tad slow.
Didn't Adventure 1 allow you to walk on some walls?

So, I found some interesting trivia on Dimps:
While they are most known for their work on Sonic, they've also done a PS 1 game with Bandai titled Inu Yasha: A Feudal Fairy Tale, a fighting game that came out in 2003 in the US (AFTER Sonic Advance 1 came out in the US).
