Oh fuck no.

They did not just take one of the most heart-rending, emotional, and beautiful trailers of all time and mock it.

They have no diginity, no shame, no honor,.

Oh?

"Shaun of the Dead Island" is pretty poignant.

The shaun of the Dead one was funny but I'm now seeing every zombie movie ever getting the same treatment.

Funny? I thought it was a Tear Jerker.

Really? Seeing the zombies kindly putting the dudes innards back and heading off was hilarious.

Honestly the Shaun of the Dead one was better than the Dead Island trailer in my pseudo-expert opinion.

Does anyone else think the original trailer was horrible?

The only things I learned from the trailer are:

  • The game involves fighting zombies, probably
  • Someone has no clue how to make an informative trailer

That wasn't the point. The point was to be a Tear Jerker.

Jesus christ man, do you have no soul?

It feel squarely into Narm for me.

Possibly because I was thinking of Braid the whole time.

Chagen the original trailer wasn't a tear jerker; watch that shit to Yakety Sax and tell me that's not hilarious.

Dude, anything is funny to Yakety Sax.

As this IJAM thread shows, 9/11 is funny to Yakety Sex.

... yeah I haven't seen that video and refuse to.

But really, the Dead Island trailer wasn't that sad to me, because all I saw was a video game character dead. Now seeing a real child dead, yeah that shit would affect me, but a game one? Nope.

Hey, Simon Pegg told me and Dan Bull (the video creator) "this is the greatest trailer I have ever seen!"

Can someone explain to me the significance of the bit with Minecraft in the live action parody?

@Zero: Was it The Last Minecart?

Yeah, Minecraft has Zombies and Skeletons.

No, I meant in that live action parody of Dead Island that had Minecraft in it. What was happening there?

I think the guy beat the crap out of another guy because he ruined his house on Minecraft, this caused that guy to be shot by another guy hence that video's version of the dead girl.
