"-GROAN-"
And then there was silence-Chester appears in the kitchen-
-holding one side for a brief moment- He grows more and more tenacious with every encounter...

dead devotion-retracts the hand after it glows with golden energy for a moment-
-looks up at 47- Good day!

...Same.
dead devotionI see, I see.
Good to hear, regardless.
-nods- Still, I don't recall meeting you.

Twin Moons: Hello, everyone.
And it's so easy when you're evil... This is the life for me, the Devil tips his hat to me...-They just walk away-
I don't share my name.
dead devotion-nods to Kris- And good day to you.
-to 47- A common courtesy that you choose not to share, is a sign of someone who is in hiding.

And then there was silenceNo, no. It really is most assuredly common.
It narrows down the criteria of what you do.
From a spy currently on operation... unlikely, because you would've given a false name if that was the case.
Same with thieves. They aren't often in too much harm for them to have a reason to not use their names.
Both people in hiding. Now you could be an organized criminal, but that doesn't seem to fit your bill. And again- they often share their names due to having to lessen suspicion.
By obscuring your name, you invite people's curiosity. And you narrow their thoughts of what you are. A paranoid man could use this to protect himself against what you, I guess, are.
A hired killer of some kind. Murder is so commonly a heinous crime in cultures, that one never seeks to be associated with it, and it carries much greater risks than planned robberies or expert thievery.

Or perhaps I just choose not to share my name.
(Just sort of drops the cognac out a window.)
Are you doing alright?
make it through this year if it kills you yet | 2001-2019...Uh, that works too.

Homura: ...I'm fine.
Your choices have impacts.
On perception, mostly. You can't change that quality of perception by simply saying it's your choice to do so.
A lot of choices are based on existing information that you or someone else knows.
Really- sharing your name makes you more suspicious than someone who shares it freely.
I- am Chester Aggripson for instance. Trust is a very key thing, and I know very well that when you decide to distance yourself... no-one will return the favor, save for a few that decide to let their curiosities close the distance. And of course- the others who react in xenophobia to the outsider when things go awry.
