That's a shame :( I liked The Croods, though I'm glad it didn't get a sequel. Didn't seem to need one!
The Protomen enhanced my life.what???
So, animators only work on one single movie for DW? What about How to Train Your Dragon? What about the new Shrek continuations? What about all the animating they do for live action films?
Why fire perfectly capable people?
Say to the others who did not follow through You're still our brothers, and we will fight for youI am more and more believing that a feature film doesn't need 170 employees on it alone.
I think you're underestimating how many people it takes to make a film.

Holy Grail, huh? Cool story, bro.You are right. I am unfamiliar with how working on an animated feature film is like.
How to Train Your Dragon 3 will be fine. They have planned it since the first film was released, and they know that it is currently one of Dream Work's only hits at this point.
I eat my words. Apparently they pushed back How to Train Your Dragon 3 to March 1, 2019 yesterday. Seeing this film and Toy Story 4, and potentially Frozen 2 and Shrek 5 will be interesting.
I'm sure that half of the films in development will be canned. What wont be cut for sure is Madagascar 4, and Shrek 5. It sucks to see what the 2010s did to Dream Works Animation, and if Universal wipes out Dream Works by turning it into Illumination, it would be a tragic ending to the company.
I have A LOT to say about a LOT of things, and NO little minded opinions will hold MY opinion back.-Imagines Shrek being torn apart by Minions-
Would be really sad if that's how Dreamworks is gonna end up. Even in their lesser films I've always been impressed by their art direction and cinematography, and I consider them the best of the industry at it next to Laika, and the recent layoffs got me a little worried.
S.Z. Unicorn Doom Inc.I just saw KFP 3 yesterday. They don't always hit home, but there's still some real talent and ambition at the studio (or at least, they have historically had it) and I would be really disappointed if they just got gutted from this moment on.
The Boss Baby looks interesting, at least.
Have you any dreams you'd like to sell?I'm probably going to pass on The Boss Baby. In fact, except for the How to Train your Dragon and Kung Fu Panda sequels, I really haven't paid attention to Dream Works lately at all. That said, I do hope they eventually get around to making that shadow movie they were talking about a while back. That sounded unspeakably fascinating.

The full trailer for The Boss Baby. I'm not sure what to think of this movie now.

They put a Glen Glengarry Ross reference in there? Sign me up.
Have you any dreams you'd like to sell? What's the DEAL with fart jokes? Why does everyone make them, they are NOT funny.
Other than that, cute trailer will watch when its out on DVD.

Discord: Waido X 255#1372 If you cant contact me on TV Tropes do it here. They can be funny when done right.
Have you any dreams you'd like to sell?Yeah. I guess you are right.
Discord: Waido X 255#1372 If you cant contact me on TV Tropes do it here.So far not interested on the premise. Maybe after I learn more.
Because the more stupid people breed (and stupid people breed the most), the more studios have to cater to them. As per the word of Idiocracy.
I called the baby running a huge office building with baby employees. :D
On that note, WOW, Amid Amidi should NEVER watch animated trailers anymore. If there's ONE butt or fart joke in it, even if it only lasts a few frames, he'll make a whole article about ONLY that one joke, put it in the title, and put the screengrab up on its header!

Huh puss in the boots' show has fourth season now .-. Do people actually discuss it here? I mean its apparently enough money maker to have fourth season
Personally prefer Dragons: Race To The Edge and All Hail King Julien over the Puss in Boots Cartoon. Speaking of which, the most recent season of All Hail King Julien has some really good episodes.

I just finished watching The Road to El Dorado. It's still as good as I remember.
I like to keep my audience riveted. The sad part is that Dream Works most brilliant movies - Prince of Egypt, Spirit, Rise of the Guardians and even HTTYD - aren't the ones which make the most money. For some reason Dream Works really cashes in with the more kiddified movies. At this point it has become very difficult to see the difference between Dream Works and Blue Sky or Sony animation - and that is not a good thing.
How To Train Your Dragon flopped? Or are you referring to the second one?
Have you any dreams you'd like to sell?
Yet another round of pink slip distributions. 170 employees will be laid off next month. And unlike the first crop of dismissals, which focused on the corporate management side of things, these layoffs concern those within the animation and production fields. This is apparently a direct consequence of The Croods 2 sequel being dropped.
has a clue, but it's usually not the correct one 0.55% of the time
