Dang. I always get so sad when I hear about that...

Looks cliche.
This... actually looks promising.
Last time I checked, Kevin Hart and Thomas Middleditch were still cast as George and Harold for the Captain Underpants movie.

Let me get the Vogon poetry......
Please allow me to introduce myself, I am a man of wealth and taste. Nice to meet you, hope you can guess my name.I did say maybe.
What does the third-worst form of poetry have to do with anything?
The teaser looks better than i expected, at least.
... but... I also just saw a snippet of the children's book this is based on. ... not even when I was alive did I ever hear of this book. And aside from the clever premise (making a newly-arrived baby the literal work boss of a home), it doesn't look like anything award-winning.
Dude sibling rivalry is a goldmine for awards
Say to the others who did not follow through You're still our brothers, and we will fight for youI saw the first two episodes of Trollhunters at NYCC. On the one hand, the "kid gets trinket and becomes a Henshin Hero" plot is a fairly cliche one, but it's elevated by the visuals, the dialog, and the acting. Having Kelsey Grammar play the mentor troll really works out well for the story just because that's a voice that tells you what needs to be done.
So apparently Trolls is getting a lot of good reviews.
Have you any dreams you'd like to sell?Well, that's good. Now let's hope the box office is good.
Given that Trolls has been pretty decently promoted from what I've seen, I can see it being a modest success at the very least.
"I shall not be foolish again, my dear Gwendolyn!"Honestly I'm surprised by this. Most of what I've seen from the trailers made me progressively hate it more and more. Now it's at an 80-something percent on Rotten Tomatoes.
Have you any dreams you'd like to sell?Could just be a case of trailers always lie.
S.Z. Unicorn Doom Inc.I hope so. I'm getting tired of the "Dream Works is dead" stuff people have been saying.
Have you any dreams you'd like to sell? They will continue to be dead to me unless they explore their Dragons franchise. Two films out of what could have been a hella amazing series...
Say to the others who did not follow through You're still our brothers, and we will fight for youTwo films and two animated series with a third movie on the way.
Have you any dreams you'd like to sell?I thought that third film was cancelled, and the second one was lukewarm because they tried to smash the plot of both movies into one! I had no idea number three was still on. Cheers then.
As for the series......
There were some lore-unfriendly changes that I didn't particularly care for. Characters were very well written though, and I did enjoy that.
Say to the others who did not follow through You're still our brothers, and we will fight for youThe second one was fairly good, it just kinda paled compared to the original.
I'm still pissed they screwed up a major chance with the Monsters vs. Aliens series. They could've had it be a monster of the week adventure, but nope, they did a "slobs versus snobs" plot.
Have you any dreams you'd like to sell?Third one is definitely still coming. It's also very unlikely to be cancelled now because A) the first one was a huge hit and the second one wasn't quite as big, but it was pretty profitable and B) the TV show is apparently doing well for Netflix, so there's clearly an audience for it.
I've said this before, but NBC Universal already have their own dedicated animation studio, Illumination, and all their movies so far have been huge hits. Even Minions. (I thought Despicable Me 2 was a minor success, but it turns out that it made nearly a billion dollars.) They don't really have a reason to interfere with what Dreamworks is doing now, especially if Trolls is a success.
Not Three Laws compliant.Leave it to Tvtropes' history edit pages to tell you when a movie is released in territories before your's. -_- #spoilers
I think first in series will always have a power and an impact that its sequels lack. You are introduced to these amazing characters and watch them struggle to define themselves and their relationships for the first time, and there's a magic in that.
Of course, Shrek somehow managed to dodge all this. Shrek was groundbreaking, but Shrek 2 was phenomenal. I think the introduction of even newer characters definitely helped in that regard.

DreamWorks TV will premiere Guillermo Del Toro's Trollhunters during this year's New York Comic Con.
The man himself will appear at NYCC alongside Kelsey Grammer and Ron Perlman to promote the Netflix show.
Finally, right?
