I saw it at a movie theater once long ago. It's different than JSR, more arcady and you use a skateboard simulator control. Think like bikes in arcade racing games.
I think you guys will like this http://www.wired.com/gamelife/2012/02/jet-set-radio-hd/
[Placeholder for something snarky]Wow, so Jet Set Radio HD will be in HD. WHO WOULD'VE GUESSED?
The graffiti contest thing looks pretty cool, though.
To pity someone is to tell them "I feel bad about being better than you."Just saw that Jet Set Radio is also coming to Android and iOS sometime in the Summer of 2012

Pony Cinema - The Best Little Pony Video Site on the Internet Pony ForumHow the heck are we supposed to control that?
Darkness cannot drive out darkness; only light can do that. Hate cannot drive out hate; only love can do that. You have to actually skate around your city and hope it has a similar layout.
Remember! Hyperbole is an exaggeration made for comedic effect, and shouldn't be taken literally!LOL

Jonah FalconBAM. This game is now available if you have PSN+. Those with vanilla PSN will have to wait until next week, with XBLA/Steam getting it a day later. Vita gets it the 16th of October. 10 bucks.
Next week is going to rock. Beware of incoming heat though.

CURSE MY 360 FOR RED RINGING. EVERYTHING ELSE STILL WORKS BUT YOU.
To pity someone is to tell them "I feel bad about being better than you."Documentary
Jet Set Radio... isn't very good. Especially compared to Future.
Jonah FalconTruthfully, the game isn't something that's fit for a lot of modern day gamers. They'll just get frustrated and say it sucks.
Though you should at least elaborate why, Jonah.

No one outside of people who already played it or want to play it will even know about this game so that's not really an issue.
Remember! Hyperbole is an exaggeration made for comedic effect, and shouldn't be taken literally!Edit — I did a quick Google about the soundtrack of the HD remake, and it says that they got every song from the original except one. Anyone know which one?

Really from Jupiter, but not an alien.I think it's Yappie Feet, though I heard Dunny Boy Williamson show is missing too, though it wasn't on the versions of JSR HD is based off.
I wouldn't call JSRF souless, it's anything but, but some things JSR did better and presentation is one of them, JSR was more soulful with that.

No. The gameplay is a bad coin-op experience. It just doesn't work. I don't wear nostalgia glasses.
Jonah FalconWell aren't you the cool guy, no nostalgia glasses for you huh? I'm not saying you're a twat if you hate the game but you know, some reasons why the gameplay was so bad and doesn't work would be nice. Being a journalist I'd expect you at least to do that.
I'm just trying to figure out what people in the thread mean when they say Jet Set Radio Future is "soulless".
Arthur Geis on Rebel FM articulated what was wrong with JSF on the latest podcast better than I can right now.

Jonah FalconAnyone else having trouble downloading the game? It's not appearing on my games folder even though it says I've already downloaded it.
Time to leave them all behindJet Set Radio Future was far from soulless. It was one of the singularly most fun games I ever played on the Xbox. The music, the gameplay, the art; everything was just so fun. Its the reason I want a new JSR. There's just more fun to be had with this world and these characters and this type of game.
Mega Man fanatic extraordinaireIs the skating better in Future? because were it not for the music, visuals, and nostalgia factor I don't think i'd be enjoying this game as much as I am.

Eh. Its not incredibly different. It does have smoother gameplay, though.

Its cool. Trust me when I say I really want a new JSR too, even if just in spirit.
