Ooh, neat. Finished playing the original for the first time a week or two ago for the first time. Pretty excited.

...Hm. If it's just a straight remake, with polygons instead of sprites, I sort of wonder why one would pay much more than the Wii version's price ($10? $15?).

On the other hand, I never bothered to check out Cave Story before, so if this proves to be worth it, I don't see why this wouldn't be the definitive version.

I wonder if you'll still be able to transfer the D Si Ware version over to the 3DS.

It's already been confirmed you will be able to transfer D Si Ware games from your D Si to your 3DS. I'm guessing they will have a new account based system prepared and that they will verify your your old confirmation (D Si Ware structure) to your new one (3DS/whatever Nintendo's next console is).

My first thought; "Man, they're really whoring out Cave Story".

My second thought; "I must have it".

Oh if I ever shell out the money for a 3DS, this and Persona are going to be at the top of my list.

It’s now been 10 years since the original Cave Story came out, so I’m now thinking that maybe it’s time to start thinking about a sequel for Cave Story. There’s a very, very good chance we’ll see a sequel.

Screw the Updated Re-release, that's what I'm jazzed about.

Both the idea of a sequel AND the 3DS remake makes me jizz in my pants. I mean, for pete's sake, the 3DS already has enough awesome games coming out, it's already the best handheld ever in my book.

At this rate, the Nintendo 3 DS is gonna need its own And The Fandom Rejoiced page. People have been rejoicing to "SHUT UP AND TAKE MY MONEY!" levels.

(Except for those that find the US$250 price tag and a potential minimum battery life of 3 hours to have Ruined FOREVER Nintendo's handheld reputation.)

Well, that explains the Quote Prinny. Wonder if NIS is gonna throw in an additional mode where you play as Quote Prinny. I bet they'd make it the hardest mode in the game.

Huzzah! I find it ironic Tgat cave story is getting this treatment though. I am hoping for a sequel.

Dammit Nintendo do you want me to sell myself into slavery for you?! Because I'm seriously considering that.

Cave Story 3DS? Oh, I bet it's going to be a port of the wiiware ver- wait. Those are the graphics? They're putting in some new stuff to make it longer-lived? Pixel's with them each step of the way?

Eh, I'd rather wait until I actually get the game within my grasps before I start doing that "Dance of Joy" thing I always do whenever I play a good game. Gotta keep a cool head, after all.

I'll be getting a 3DS sooner than I thought. But not as soon as I'd like. Bills to pay and computers to buy, after all.
