Man, I really hope the Double Anarchy series of SM Gs return. Can you imagine the Gunzerker dual-wielding a Double Anarchy in each hand?

It's stupid shit like that makes me like Gearbox as a developer. Borderlands 2 is going to be awesome! I hope anyway.

Yeahhh!!!

I just hope this one is more difficult all the way around, and the boss fights more like Crawmerax, I hope they can do something like his boss fight again, because I honestly can say than of all my gaming carrer, he is on my top 10 of the hardest boss/frustranting moment easily, but also one of the awesomest because of when I finally killed him (I know he is actually fairly easy with good weapons and all, but I apparently had crap weapons instead of begin full of perlecents and what not). And I HAVE played my fair couple of games, and I LOVE challenges grin

Oh yeah, I loved fighting Craw. I had solo'ing him down to a science with my Siren.

He was a bitch to fight against. I loved the fact that you had to work as a team to take him down. No other boss was really like that.

I think I read in a article they are going to include bosses like Crawemerax in the second game anyway. I look forward to taking them on with all the new classes!

Well, if you knew what to do as a Siren one could solo him legitimately without using any exploits. I did numerous times. Like I said, I had it down to a science.

But yeah, there should be more bosses like him in Borderlands 2.

I've heard of players doing that but never actually attempted it. What did you do Mark?

I'd snipe him from a distance using pillars as cover from his ranged acid attacks, using the right elemental weapon for each minion (corrosive for the armored, electric for the fast maggots, and fire for the green ones) and when Craw got close I'd phasewalk and run to the other set of pillars way on the other side of the arena. Rinse and repeat.

I used a Jakobs Skullsmasher to snipe his weak points. And used phasewalk to keep away from him. Hit and run tactics.

Ahh, sounds good. The only problem is if you get hit once, you're pretty much fucked. Though I doubt that happened very often right?

I might that strategy a whirl, thanks for that.

No problem. The key is to have a good shield, and as many reductions to phasewalk cooldown as possible. Also important is the skill that heals you while in phasewalk. But yeah, the key is to not get hit by Craw himself.

And again, it's important to have a good shock SMG, a good fire weapon (Hellfires work great), good corrosive weapon and a strong sniper or Double Anarchy. I've found both snipers and Anarchies to be good for the job.

Free DLC, which means they're wrapping up development and adding stuff they intended to later.

Cool and creepy at the same time. I assume it's going to be free only for new users though. -_-

OR they will just offer it. We should wait and see. I for one am happy to see more than 4 classes. Variety is always a plus.

It's also a precedent. If you have one more class, why not two? Or three?

Because balancing would be difficult?

Borderlands laughs at the concept of balance. Being overpowered is the name of the game here.

Co-op requires less balance. Just make the monsters tougher. It's vs. that you have to worry about player balance.

That said, you do what to make sure one class isn't cooler and more attractive than the others.

Question - is it worth buying the original Borderlands if you pre-order Borderlands 2?

I heavily considered it because I found GOTY Edition for $30.
