She's still working. E.G. Daily's still working too, and she's probably still up to it. Cheryl Chase, well, she hasn't really done much since the original ended but I think she's raring to do her most famous role again.
My only question is, who will replace Jack Riley as Stu or Joe Alaskey as Grandpa Lou? (Maybe, for the latter, they could find someone who does a good David Doyle impression?)

"They say I'm old fashioned, and live in the past, but sometimes I think progress progresses too fast."In one episode, Didi hears Stu mention Ramona and angrily asks Stu who Ramona is.
Stu, in the middle of sleepwalking, says "my assistant".
The first time I saw the episode I thought Stu was saying "my SISTER"
No, Mr. Bunker, "this here" is justiceIn the description for this video, it mentions Nancy Cartwright voicing Chuckie again, as well as how the new Rugrats will come out in fall.

Matt Bennett apparently auditioned for the series.
Man, didn't know Stu Pickles' VA passed away.

Got another link?
Wake me up at your own risk.I thought I had an unofficial one but when I double checked to make sure it was working I got a "video has been blocked" message.
Here it is anyway: https://youtu.be/cURAefl3SK0

Looks like a game from a couple generations ago, honestly.
Wake me up at your own risk.http://nickalive.blogspot.com/2021/03/melanie-chartoff-reveals-she-wont-be.html?m=1
Melanie Chartoff isn't reprising her role as Didi, at least for the first season. She hasn't exactly been asked yet to reprise her role due to the show focusing more on the babies, with less attention placed on the parents.
New Rugrats comes out in spring on Paramount Plus before coming out later on Nickelodeon. The babies will have their regular voice actors, but the adults have new voice actors.

Makes sense, since some of their voice actors passed away. I wonder who they'll pick as Stu Pickles' new voice?
The article mentions the voice cast.
- Ashley Rae Spillers (Vice Principals) and Tommy Dewey (The Mindy Project), as Tommy’s parents: Didi, a passionate artisan and blogger, and Stu, an optimistic inventor.
- Tony Hale (Arrested Development), as Chuckie’s father, Chas, a neurotic musician.
- Natalie Morales (Dead to Me), as Phil and Lil’s mother, Betty, Didi’s best friend and coffeehouse owner.
- Anna Chlumsky (Veep) and Timothy Simons (Veep), as Angelica’s parents: Charlotte, a busy city councilperson, and Drew, a successful pharmaceutical representative.
- Nicole Byer (Nailed It!) and Omar Miller (Ballers), as Susie’s parents Lucy, a fun and generous physician, and Randy, an affable and good-natured science teacher.
- Michael McKean (Better Call Saul) as Grandpa Lou Pickles.
Wait, they have Kath Soucie as Phil and Lil, but Betty their mom, who was also voiced by Kath Soucie in the original show (and All Grown Up), isn't doing it in this Reboot?
I find that weird. Maybe they just didn't want to overwhelm Kath? Maybe Natalie Morales does Betty better then Kath?
So does this mean Howard won't be in the reboot with Betty being a single mom this time?
I don't remember if the above article mentioned it, but this article says why the babies kept their regular voice actors, but the adults were recast.
http://nickalive.blogspot.com/2021/03/nickelodeon-taps-all-star-voice-talent.html?m=1
"In an interview with Deadline, Nickelodeon President Brian Robbins addressed the decision to keep the original core original cast voicing the kids but bring in new actors for the grown-up roles: “First of all, we have all the original babies back, all the original cast back, which we are thrilled to have” Robbins said. “Some of the original actors — remember the show is 20-25+ years-old, and we thought there was an opportunity for new exciting comedic voices who grew up watching and being fans of the show and let them do cameos. So we are really excited about our adult cast on Rugrats.“
Interesting, so they're bringing in the coffeehouse from All Grown Up.
Randy's career is changed. No Dummi Bears? I hope Charlotte's VA and career change doesn't mean the Jonathan phone banter is gone too.
Also noticed no Dil, Kira or Kimi.

I'm more intrigued by his new description as affable. The old Randy wrote for dummi bears and hated it, he also found Stu overbearing and was just kind of a grump. I wonder if his other kids buster, alyssa, and edwin iirc will make appearances or if susie will now be an only child. I also hope susie is a little more flawed, in the old series the only thing I remember her being bad at was cooking (which led to a sweet moment where angelica found a use for susie's awful cookies thus cheering her up.)
see my completed Tangled (Varian) fanfic collection! https://archiveofourown.org/works/24467056/chapters/59049532I remember Susie being more childish when she was around adults or her older siblings, indicating she was only mature by the babies' standards. There was also a couple odd occasions she had a bit of He Who Fights Monsters around Angelica (eg. Tricycle Thief) though yeah, Susie was kind of the blandest of the kids. Okay as a mentor and supporting character but not great for limelight episodes.
Maybe have her a little in between her normal characterisation and her first appearance.

Susie had the unfortunate role of being the Foil to Angelica. Angelica was bratty as a result of being spoiled by her parents in lieu of actual parenting but had Hidden Depths, Susie was a perfect child from a perfect loving family with absolutely nothing else to her.
In hindsight, it's surprising they didn't do a lot with the fact that Susie had the largest family of any of the kids. Even more so since she was the baby of a large group of siblings, while all the others were first borns until Dil and Kimi arrived (besides Phil and Lil being twins). It was only when those two came they dealt with the premise of parents having to juggle between multiple kids and how they respond (which was still mostly from the oldest's POV).
There could have been a lot of miscommunication antics or development from having a load of older kids subject matter for the babies to encounter or how Susie dealt with sharing attention between so many others.

She basically had the same problem Sandy the Squirrel had in Spongebob. Susie was eventually rectified though, in particular with her family dynamics. And she essentially became Angelica's close friend circa All Grown Up.
Is the CGI gonna reboot the universe? Are Kimi and Dil smote?

Death is a companion. We should cherish Death as we cherish Life.Sandy's problem tends to be more that her show just doesn't seem interested in her. She was only really a Parody Sue in Season One, Season Two she started getting her own episodes (mostly focused around her ego or extreme zeal), though after the show got approved to continue and the other characters got Flanderized to high heaven, she just couldn't compete, and didn't even really have her old role as the straight man anymore.
Granted I don't think it helped that Sandy was largely a Satellite Character for Spongebob and Patrick and only had minimal moments with the rest of the cast.
Susie's role was something that worked within the dynamic of the babies, and since their characters stayed mostly the same, it wasn't compromised much, just her role against Angelica just sort of took over and there was a long period she didn't get a lot of individual character. She actually seemed to have potential in her early points because she was maybe the one kid who shared Tommy's adventurous energy, something they hadn't dabbled in much.

I know Kath Soucie still does voice work, I've heard her do her Phil voice recently suggesting her vocal range is still good. Dunno if she's still a regular though. Cree Summer I'm pretty sure still does plenty of voice work though.
I'm rather surprised they could get Nancy Cartright though, I thought all The Simpsons actors came at a high cost. Shame we can't get Christine Cavanaugh back for obvious tragic reasons, though at least we got one Chuckie back.
