A young girl walks deep into the forest one day.

Girl: ~...What if there was some world where everyone is a Pokémon? That would be amazing!~

Suddenly, a portal opens up nearby.

Girl: Ooh, where does this go?

She climbs in, and when she comes out...

Girl: Where am I? And why do I feel... Ooh, wings! *Goes to a nearby puddle* Ooh, I'm a Stawwy now!

A nearby Taillow comes over

Taillow: Hi! I'm Dewey! What's your name?

Starly!Girl: I'm Gemmy, short for Gemini. Nice to meet you, Dewey!

Entralink, now

Eskay: Where should we start our search?

Skye: <Castelia City?>

Just then, a girl tumbles out of the portal. She had a streak of red running through the front of her otherwise black hair, and the clothes she wore looked painfully tight, as if someone had somehow stretched a toddler's clothes out to fit a teen.

Eskay: Who are you?

Girl: Eskay? Is that you?

Eskay: ...Diane?

Human!Diane: Did that portal turn me... into a human?

Eskay: It looks like it. Here, you must be cold, cover yourself up with my jacket.

She puts on the jacket quickly, shivering slightly.

Shadow: <I'm definitely picking up something around here.>

Shadow: <...I don't think we need to do any of that.>

Jab: <I hope we get to fight something!>

???: "Owww...."

???: "Get up."

???: "Huh?"

???: -sits up and notices a Pikachu- "Why is there a giant Pikachu in front of me?"

Pikachu: "I'm not giant, you moron, you're smaller."

???: -stands and looks at hands-

Pikachu: "In case you can't tell, you're a Plusle."

Plusle: "...Why?"

Pikachu: "Hell if I know. Either way, come on. We have to find the others."

Plusle: "How'd you know it was me?"

Pikachu: "You were out like a light in the middle of nowhere. It's not hard to put two and two together."

Plusle: "Oh. Okay..."

-The duo start making their way to higher ground to find out where they were.-

Spinda!Rex: <I dunno...> *looks at the Coal Badge* <So, what does this thing do anyway? I don't feel like I remember anything...>

<North, he said. I don't suppose you have a compass?>

Treasure Town, outskirts

Forte: <But that's not important! We have to find Shadow!>

Pianis: <Like I said, try and see if you can put a post for a rescue mission or something. Of course, you'd probably need to prepare a reward if you do that.>

Amp Plains

Rouge: <Found it yet?>

Shadow: <No... I do see a Plusle and a Pikachu nearby, though. They might know something.>

Pikachu: "Tch. I can't believe I'm stuck with you. If I was in my regular body, I'd probably be with Casval."

Plusle: "It's not like I can help it. We're stuck like this because of Mr. Casval."

Pikachu: "......Shut up."

Plusle: "It seems like this place is frequented with a lot of thunderstorms."

Pikachu: "All the more reason for us to find a way out. I'm not sure if I have Lightningrod, and I don't want to know how it works."

-The two come up to the top of the ledge.-

Pikachu: "See any civilization?"

Plusle: "I see an Espeon and a Swoobat."

Pikachu: "Joy. Well, it's worth a shot. If we can speak to each other, we may be able to speak to other Pokémon too, I guess..."

-Begins laying out the missions I have, to try and decide which one to do tomorrow. Good thing these oh-so-time-critical rescue missions never seem to actually expire, huh?-

Shadow: <By that logic, we should send Omega in.>

Rouge: -rolls her eyes- <Have you listened to him at all?>

Shadow: <...Okay, I see your point.>

-Shadow approaches the two Electric types-

Plusle: "The Pikachu advances to meet the Espeon."

Pikachu: "You don't have to narrate for me!" -sighs- "Hey, you...err...wild Espeon, if you can understand me, hear me out. Do you know where the nearest city is?"

Shadow: <Technically, I'm not wild, and I don't happen to know where the nearest town is.>

Rouge: <Oh, don't you know anything...?>

Pikachu: "Great...Well, I take it that you also wanted something as well. Seeing as just about anything would be more beneficial, I guess we can help you with whatever you need. It'd give us a higher chance of finding out what the heck's going on."

Plusle: -wags tail- "I feel cute."

Pikachu: "Annnyyyything."
