-Suddenly a wild Bagon drops from above and growls-

Okay, go Steel!

-Steel appears-

Steel, use Iron Tail!

-Steel's tail glows white as he slams the Bagon into a wall-

Now to catch it.

-Throws an Ultra Ball at the Bagon, catching it-

Oh cool, this'll be the first Dragon type I've ever owned.

Sometime later

-Bagon Headbutts a Trainer's Roselia unconscious-

I've won, now pay up.

-The Trainer gives me the prize money and leaves-

Now that I've had you for a good while, what should I name you? I was thinking Draco, but since you're a female Bagon would Draca work?

-Draca nods-

Okay then, Draca it is.

-Ecruteak City, 13 years ago-

-A little boy runs through the streets, crying for his mother. They had been in the PokeMart together, but when he turned around, she was gone.-

Mommy?

-He runs all over looking for her, but she isn't in the store anymore.-

Mommy?

-He runs outside, frantically searching for her-

MOMMY?!

-He keeps running, and accidentally ends up outside the city. It's starting to get dark, he's lost in the trees. He's very cold, and very scared.-

Mommy? Help me.

-He flops down under a tree and shivers. A tiny Vulpix peeks its head out of its burrow, and cautiously approaches him. She sniffs his hair, and licks his face. He pets her head, and she climbs into his lap where she curls up into a ball. He pulls her into a close hug, and falls asleep, her natural heat keeping him warm through the night.-

- Veilstone city, unspecified time. DS is flown into city by her Crobat. She hurries up to the Veilstone Galactic Building, where a Team Galactic grunt is standing guard outside -

Galactic grunt: Well, well. If it isn't the girl who has been messing with Team Galactic's plans! Well, your luck ends here! I'm not letting you in here!

- I take out a pokeball -

Well, how about a battle? If I win, you let me in.

Galactic grunt: No.

- I put the pokeball away -

Okay then... Well...

- I start rummaging through my bag -

I didn't want to do this, but...

- I pull out a hair dryer and point it at the Galactic grunt -

Let me in! This hair dryer is loaded and I'm not afraid to use it!

Galactic grunt: (snickering) Excuse me, but are you seriously threatening me with a hair dryer?

- The grunt starts pointing and laughing at me, after a short pause, I hit the Galactic grunt on the head with the hair dryer, knocking him out. After that, I casually put the hair dryer back into my backpack, step over the unconscious Galactic grunt and I enter the building -

He’s too strong for us!

-The battle isn’t going well for me and my team. Ho-oh has already Knocked out most of my Pokémon apart from Lake and Woolly, who I have wisley saved for last due to their ability to perform super effective damage.-

Woolly: AMPHAROS!!! -Discharges a Thunderbolt at Ho-oh. The attack hits it’s mark, but barely does any damage.-

It’s like he’s immune to damage! Even super effective attack barely phase him!

-Ho-oh counters Woolly’s Thunderbolt by spraying a swift attack at the two Pokémon, It doesn’t do all that much damage, but the attacks are taking their toll.-

Guys! Can you still fight?

Lake: -Weakly- …Gatr… -Nods-

Woolly: Amp…haros… -Also nods.-

Ho-oh: You’re all very determined. Even when the odds are stacked against you, you refuse to back down.

-Ho-oh prepares a sacred fire attack.-

Ho-oh: How very brave of you. I admire that.

-Ho-oh unleashes his Sacred Fire attack, shooting a several huge ball of rainbow flames.-

JEEZ! GUYS, DON’T LET THOSE FIREBALLS HIT YOU!

-Woolly tries to get out of the way, but a Fireball hits her.-

Woolly: AMPHAROS!!!

-Woolly get’s blown away and hit’s the floor, fainted.-

Oh no! Woolly, good job! Come back!

-I quickly return Woolly to her ball.-

Lake! It’s all up to you now! You have to use that special attack the guy In Blackthorn taught you!

-Lake nods, then takes a deep breath and fires two huge jets of water out of his jaws in the form of a Hydro Cannon attack.

The two attacks meet and clash in mid-air, the water forming a huge cloud of steam as it fights the flames.-

Come on Lake…

-Lake puts as much power in the attack as he can. The water slowly starts to overwhelm the flames.-

Yes…

-With all of him might, Lake manages to douse the Sacred Flames. However, the sheer amount of power he used for the attack takes his toll, and the Feraligatr has to kneel down to recharge.

NO! How could I forget the recharge period! I’ve left him defenceless now!

-Ho-oh looks like he’s about the deal the finishing blow. Lake braces himself for the inevitable final blow, when…-

Ho-oh: …I’ve seen enough.

…What?

Lake: Gatr?

-Ho-oh lands on the roof of the tower.-

Ho-oh: I think you have proven yourself worthy of my trust.

...But I didn’t win the fight!

-To everyone’s surprise, Ho-oh begins chuckling.-

Ho-oh: Aheheheh…I never said you had to win the fight! No…I just wanted to test the bonds between you and your Pokémon one more time. And I must say, I have never seen a trainer so close to his Pokemon, nor a team of Pokemon so loyal to their trainer…

…Really?

Ho-oh: -Nods.- Really. You truly are an worthy trainer.

…Wow…That means a lot coming from you…

Ho-oh: Now, there’s something I want to give you…

-Ho-oh flaps his mighty wings once, releasing a single Rainbow Feather that floats down and lands in front of me. I gingerly pick it up.-

…It’s…It’s beautiful.

Ho-oh: That feather is special. It has the power to summon me from anywhere, at anytime.

-I jump in shock.-

Woah! Are you sure you want to give me something like this?

Ho-oh: I believe you have earned the right to my power. Besides, I’m certain that you are not the kind of person to misuse this power for your own selfish ends.

How do you know that?

Ho-oh: Because I can see your heart Luke. And it is one of pure gold. And a perosn with a heart of gold is a special one indeed.

I…I don’t know what to say…But thank you. I’ll make sure to use this properly.

-I put the Rainbow Feather in my Key Items pocket.-

Ho-oh: Now, one last thing before I go…

-Ho-oh’s wings glow a rainbow colour, before firing out beams of rainbow energy that strike Lake and my Pokéballs, fully healing my Pokémon.

Lake! Are you okay?!

Lake: -Stands up, now fully recovered.- Gatr!

Well…Thanks Ho-oh, you’ve saved us a trip to the Pokémon Center.

Ho-oh: Every little helps, eh? Anyway, I must be off now.

-Ho-oh leaps into the air and flaps his wings, hovering just above the tower.-

Ho-oh: Take care Luke. You have great things ahead of you.

…Great things? What do you mean by that?

Ho-oh: -Smirks.- Ah…Now that would be telling, wouldn't it?

-And with that Ho-oh flies away, leaving a beautiful rainbow in his wake, until he evtually disappears over the horizon.-

You heard her, Goggles.

Goggles: <Awww...> (leaves)

So, should my moment with the hair dryer be mentioned as a Crowning Moment Of Awesome or a Crowning Moment Of Funny? Or both?

-The next morning-

-Someone calling his name wakes the little boy up. The Vulpix jumps off his lap and darts back into her burrow. He opens his eyes to see his father running towards him. His father hugs him close and cries. His father holds his hand and takes him home. The little Vulpix pokes her head out of her burrow, then follows them.-

-Jane suddenly sees an odd wave on the ocean. She stops, her hat about to blow off her head, and stares at the water, then...

Kyogre breaches out of the water gracefully, spreading her fins out like a bird and splashing back into the water like a rock. The wave hat results splashes Jane and her Ampharos and forces them back a few feet. After the wave subsides, Jane smiles and Laius, and turns to Spoons-

Spooooooons! I know what my first article for the Expanded Pokedex is going to be!

Spoons: Amphaaaroooooooooos!!

???: Heeeeeeyyyy!

Uh?

???: -the voice belongs to an old sailor- What are you doing here little girly? This ain't no weather for a walk on the beach! -the man grabs Jane and pulls her and her Ampharos to his cabin, Jane all the while staring out at the ocean where she saw Kyogre breach-

-The boy is playing in the front yard when the Vulpix approaches him. He picks her up and snuggle her against his face. She climbs out of his arms and onto his head. He laughs, and she jumps down. She chases her tails, and they play all afternoon. When he gets called in for supper, she follows him in. His mother puts the Vulpix outside, but seeing how sad that makes both of them, she lets the Pokemon come back in.-

- Veilstone Galactic Building, unspecified time. DS has managed to fight her way through the Galactic grunts, and has finally reached the room where the Sinnoh Lake Trio is held captive. DS feels sorry for Uxie, Mesprit and Azelf as they are clearly in pain, and were forced to help create two Red Chains for Cyrus, the leader of Team Galactic -

Don't worry, I'm here to save you all.

- I press the button to deactive the energy fields on the machines that were keeping the Lake Trio captured, Uxie and Azelf fly up from the machines, happy to be released. Mesprit looks over at me with a grateful look on her face. Mesprit lets me pick her up and hold her in my arms -

Hi there, Mesprit. Do you remember me?

- Mesprit looks directly into my eyes, and I feel as we have a connection of some sort. Uxie and Azelf motions for us to follow them, and the four of us quickly leave the building -

Lance: Well then it seems we're both down to our last Pokémon each.

...Bring it on Lance.

-We both reach for and toss our Pokéballs at the same time.-

Lance: Go! Dragonite!

Lake! It's all up to you now!

-My Pokéball releases Lake, while Lance releases a Orange Dragon Pokemon with a cream coloured belly.-

Lance: How fitting that your last Pokémon would be your starter.

Do you get that a lot?

Lance: More then you would expect. But enough talk, Dragonite! Thunderpunch!

Lake! Get out of the way!

-Lance's Dragonit flies at Lake, his fist crackling with electricity. Lake, easily sees it coming and jumps out of the way.-

Now! Crunch him!

-Lake quickly jumps up and bites the Dragonite on the neck, putting his powerful jaws to good use.-

Dragonite: DRAGOOOOOOO!

Lance: Counter with an Aqua Tail!

-Lance's Dragonite cloaks his tail in water, and hits Lake with it, causing some damage.-

Galactic Grunt: Sir, he just keeps on coming, tearing through our men like wet tissue paper.

-CCTV shows my team and I nonchalantly tearing through the Galactic Grunts-

Galactic Admin: He's just one trainer, are you all this incompetent?

-My team and I walk in-

As I vowed at Lake Valor, I'm stomping you bastards out wherever I find you. I've also heard that you've been having a bit of trouble in Veilstone, so I'm making sure you can't send reinforcements there.

Galactic Admin: I won't be defeated so easily by some random trainer.

-is cornered by a lake-

FUCK! Swablu fly away now!

Swablu: Swa?!

Go! Me and flame will distract Fearow!

-swablu flies away and I try to distract fearow by having flame use ember on it-

HEY FEAROW OVER HERE! GET OVER COWARD!

-fearow charges at me-

Flame ember!

-flame uses ember and fearow uses mirror move on flame using ember on it back-'

FLAME!

-swablu sees me fighting fearow and charges at fear using dragon rush-

HOLY SHIT FLAME LOOK!

-fearow gets hit by dragon rush and is pissed-

Gatta go now.

-That night-

-The boy's father puts out a bowl of Pokemon food and a bowl of water for the Vulpix, and the family sits down to supper.-

-After supper, the boy's parents talk while he plays with the Vulpix in his bedroom. They come in, and his father gives him a Pokeball. The boy holds it out to the Vulpix, who immediately presses her nose against the button, and is absorbed into the ball. The boy lets her out right away.-

-The boy gets into his pyjamas, brushes his teeth, and climbs into bed. Vulpix hops up next to him, and they fall asleep.-

- Spear Pillar, as Cyrus uses the red chains to summon Dialga and Palkia DS, her rival and Cynthia watch as the two legendary Pokémon of time and space start warping reality. We hear the cries of Uxie, Mesprit and Azelf as they show up to help -

It's the Lake Trio!

- We watch as the three of them attempt to contain the power of the legendary Pokémon, unfortunatly, the three of them only have enough power to contain one of the legendary Pokémon -

Cynthia: It seems Uxie, Mesprit and Azelf aren't strong enough to contain them.

So, what will happen now? If they are not strong enough to help us stop Cyrus' plan, then...

- A dark shadow forms between Dialga and Palkia, Giratina emerges from the dark portal and proceeds to break the power of the red chains, and takes Cyrus with it to the Distortion world -

... Didn't see that one coming.

Cynthia: Come on, we must go inside that portal and stop Cyrus!

What? Are you serious?

Cynthia: Yes, we have no choice. We must enter Giratina's realm in order to calm it down.

... Okay, I'll do it.

DS' rival: You can do it, DS!

Thanks. Let's go.

- I enter the dark portal, along with Cynthia and the Sinnoh Lake Trio, while Dialga and Palkia retreat to their own worlds -

Nudi, use Surf!

-Nudi, now a Gastrodon by this point of Tagg's journey, defeats the Admin's last Pokemon, a Houndoom, with a final blow-

Galactic Admin: Argh, I can't believe this, defeated by one teenager and his pets. I will get you...

Don't feel too bad, I've been at this for quite some time.

-Has Nudi freeze him to the ground-

The police will be here shortly, good day.

-Leaves-

Mount Coronet, Sinnoh

-Looks at the Spear Pillar from another peak-

Damn those Grunts were annoying, but at least I held the line.

-Watches the resulting events, but is too far away to see anyone but the legendary Pokemon-

I hope the people there will be able to stop Cyrus.

-Lances' Dragonite charges Lake, hitting him hard.-

Lake! Hold on! We can still win this!

-Both Pokemon are now looking noticeably tired.-

Lance: You fought well Luke, but I'm afraid I have to end this. Dragonite! Hyper Beam!

Lake! MOVE!

-Lake tries to move, but isn't fast enough. The beam hits him full force, sending him flying back.-

NOOOOOOO!!!!!

-Lake hits the floor and skids several feet, then lies still, seemingly fainted.-

...No...

Lance: Aww. Sorry Luke. Better luck next-

-Lake manages to pull himself up, barely hanging on.-

Lance: -What?!

LAKE! Can you still fight?

Lake: -Smiles, then nods.-

Then let's finish this! Quickly, Waterfall!

-Lake cloaks himself in water, then charges Lances Dragonite, hitting him hard.-

Lance: NO! Dragonite! Thunderpunch!

-Dragonite tries, but can't attack due lack of power from his Hyper beam attack.-

Now! ICE FANG!

-Lake infuses his teeth with Icy power, then bites Dragonite as hard as he can.-

Dragonite: Drago...Nite....

-Completely drained of energy, Dragonite faints.-

.........YES! WE DID IT LAKE!!!

-I rush over to Lake, giving him a hug, which he happily returns.-

WE MADE IT! WE'RE CHAMPIONS!!!

Near Fortree City, Hoenn

-Trips over an invisible Kecleon-

-The Kecleon gets pissed and smacks me with its tongue, paralyzing me-

-Suddenly, Cobalt, at this point a Metang, tackles it into a tree-

Cobalt: <Are you alright Tagg?>

A Paralyze Heal would be nice at the moment.

-Cobalt goes inside my backpack and applies it to me-

Thanks Cobalt, I'll definitely have to add that to the list of hazards when dealing with Kecleon.

- The Distortion world, unspecified time. DS has just defeated Cyrus, but Giratina still needs to be calmed down -

Cyrus: So, are you going to try to capture or defeat Giratina? Well, I'll let you know that if you do that, it will disrupt the balance of this world. And that will in turn cause both this world, and the real world to be destroyed.

What?

Cyrus: Exactly. So, you may have defeated me, but from now on, you inherit my legacy. Go ahead. Destroy the world.

... Cynthia, what do I do? I don't want the world to be destroyed because of me...

Cynthia: Don't listen to Cyrus, DS. Whatever you do to calm down Giratina, whether you choose to capture or defeat it, neither of the two worlds will be destroyed. Giratina will simply calm down and return everything to normal.

Are you sure?

Cynthia: Yes, now step forward and let Giratina know what kind of trainer you are.

- I look over at the Lake Trio, Mesprit gives me an encouraging smile -

Okay, I'll do it.

- I walk over to confront Giratina -

Man #1: I'm really sorry about the Luxray, Miss Belen. She's going to need a Pokemon Center right away. I don't think we can get another Bioelectric Scan out of her any time soon.

Oh, it's okay. I guess we can try something different tomorrow. Maybe an M Ri?

Giratina the Second: -wearing a small ribbon on one of its tentacles- Giraaaa...

Cynthia: -picks up the 5-foot-long Giratina and holds it over her shoulder- It's okay little one. It's not your fault, it's just a minor setback.

Giratina the Second: Graaaa!

It's alright little thing. Your mommy's just worried about you, is all.

Cynthia: I promise once we're done with all of this you can have all of the chocolate you want!

Giratina the Second: Graaaa! -smiles-

It likes chocolate?

Cynthia: It always eats it when I bring it to it.

Have you tried giving it different things?

Cynthia: Not yet, I'm still trying to figure out if it prefers to eat one thing over the other or not.

Well, it's alright. I've got enough in my budget for about three months of study, so we have plenty of time.
