-It is at this point that the mons from Route 226 have made it to the rest of the pack-

<Rising Star: "What's going on, where's Kat?">

<Misha: "Da, we heard there was trouble!">

At the Ambush

-A dazed Sandslash is regaining his bearings-

<Gene: "Nngh... Guh?">

<Armortomb: "End of the line, spike ball.">

-And brings its sword down on, which he quickly for the most part absorbs by assuming his default "ball" position-

<Gene: "ARGH!">

-And feels a sharp pain, coupled with the feeling of spikes being broken-

<Gene: "Urgh... Haven't you ever heard of aiming for the non-armored parts of us?">

-And hastily drops the Armortomb in a Fissure, running as fast as his legs can carry him if it for some reason should not have worked-

Back at the Main Clearing - Running With The Others - One Hasty Mass Release Later

<Kat: "Come on, let's get going...">

<Vlad: "Hang in there, Gene...">

Artemia: -Is busy tripping Armortombs with Grass Knots- <There sure are a lot of these guys!>

-Aura Spheres an Infiltratomb-

Tropius: <What's going on?>

Xatu: <Oh, the others have been ambushed by Spiritomb.>

Tropius: <What?>

Garchomp: -Rockets past everyone else-

Tropius: <You know, I forgot how fast she can go.>

At the Ambush

-Still running for his life, periodically hiding behind cover to attempt a retaliatory Earthquake or Poison Sting-

<Gene: "Urgh... How many of these things are there?!">

Obviously a lot Ge-Ends up getting swatted by the flat of an Armortomb's sword-

Artemia: <Tagg!>

-Struggling to get up-

Armortomb: <You will meet your end here So-Gets rammed at the speed of sound, sending him flying and likely smashing his Keystone in the process-

Garchomp: <Am I late?>

-Getting back to my feet-

Nope, you're just in time.

Infiltratomb: -About to Dark Pulse us from behind- <They should be paying more attention.>

-Gets tapped from behind-

<Huh?>

Muddy: <So should you.>

-Brick Breaks the Spiritomb away-

At the Ambush

-While running, Gene is cut off by a group of two Spiritomb-

<Gene: "AH!">

<Mummytomb: "Going somewhere so fast?">

<Infitratomb: "Yeah, because we're certainly no- AAAH!">

-And the three are struck by violet orbs-

<Misha: "Hey swirls! Obratite vnimanie!">

<Infitratomb: "Oh, you'll go d-">

-Is cut off by being Aerial Ace'd against a tree-

<Sonny: "Come again?">

-And proceeds to viciously drag the dazed Spiritomb into the air with its talons and plow it into the ground, causing its Keystone to bounce away inert-

<Mummytomb: "Hey, you fat lump of feathers, try that on me!>

<Sonny: "So be i-">

-And attempts to Aerial Ace the Mummytomb... Only to be wrapped in sinister-looking bandages-

<Sonny: "WHAT?!">

<Mummytomb: "Smooth... Now dance for me, thr-">

-And is cut off by a Bonemerang that cracks its keystone-

-As the bandages withdraw-

<Kat: "Pay attention!">

<Sonny: "Yeah, yeah, shut up. That was luck!">

Ana: -Focus Blasts a Mummytomb- <Tagg, we demand to be allowed to study these Lucario after this!>

Forecaster: -Turns into Sunny Form- <Did Tagg summon Groudon again?>

???: <Nope.>

-Tropius flies by and starts unleashing Solarbeams-

At the Ambush

<Gene: "How did you guys get-">

<Vlad: "We heard that you were in- GENE!">

-And notices blood trickling down Gene's back spikes-

<Gene: "Eh, it's not so-">

-And is cut off by a large Shadow Ball scattering the group-

-Regaining her bearings and seeing an Armortomb pointing a blade at her-

<Kat: "Urgh... Oh come on, what is this, a trend?">

<Armortomb: "Your friend tried to be cute back there with that fissure trick... Shame that he seemed to forget that we're ghosts...

But I'm feeling in a good mood... Beg, and I'll kill you fast...">

<Kat: "Grr... Stuff it, you stupid tin can!">

<Armortomb: "Fine then-">

<Rising Star: "GET AWAY FROM HER!">

-And attempts Bone Club on the Armortomb-

<Armortomb: "Gah! Annoying little pest!">

-And swats Rising Star into a tree-

<Armortomb: "I'll take care of you nex-">

-And watches as the Cubone begins to glow, his form taking off his helmet as his form becomes larger, with different patterned spikes and a bony head-

<Armortomb: "Oh please, that doesn't scare m-">

-And is cut off by the rest of the mons with Gene plus Gene attacking it-

<Armortomb: "Gah! Back off, you miserable little-">

-And happens to catch a glimpse of Rising Star mimicking some motions that he has seen Iron Marrow use occasionally...

And then him drawing nearer...

And his club bearing down on its Keystone-

<Armortomb: "Oh fu-">

-And has it shatter as the club grinds it into the ground, the now-vacant armor collapsing-

<Marowak!Rising Star: "(*pant pant*) I said, get away from her...">

Styx: DIE YOU INGRATES! -Shadow Sneaks a 'tomb repeatedly-

Lina: -Hits a Spiritomb with Shadow Ball- There's too many!

Umbra: -Does the same- We need backup!

-Suddenly the 'tombs surrounding them are Earthquaked. Rhyme appers, followed by the rest of Umbra and Lina's teams. -

Rhyme: You rang?

DOOM: I'LL SQUISH EM!

-Uses Rollout, crushing several 'Tombs. -

The Ambush - Route 226-ish

-It is at this point that a number of Aura Spheres enter the from the brush and down the few Spiritomb that are left either outside of their Keystones or otherwise still not erased non-existent from the fierce battle-

-And all becomes still-

<☤: "Is everything alright down there? I sense wounded among you.">

-Is still mentally preparing-

-Hex is still not giving in-

With the 'Carios

Umbra: We're OK... well, my Wailord could use some help... As well as our friends' Pokemon...

DOOM: OOG... I'VE GOT BITS OF KEYSTONE IN MY SKIN...

Route 226-ish - At the Clearing, a Somewhat Short Time Later

-Kat and her compatriots are busily inspecting a wound on Gene's back that has been treated-

<Kat: "Hmm... Looks like you got worked over a bit... How's it that you weren't able to slip away easily?">

<Gene: "Well, getting ambushed didn't really help...">

<Vlad: "Are those broken spikes going to be okay, Gene?">

<Gene: "Yeah, they'll grow back... I can always make a pit stop at a Pokecenter later anyways.">

<Sonny: "... You know, some of us can fly you place to place...">

<Gene: "Eh, my way's faster.">

-Is currently pulling keystone shards out of Garchomp using a pair of pliers-

Garchomp: -Roars in pain-

Come on, it'll only take a moment to get all of these up.

-Succeeds in pulling out another and places it in a hollow-

-And the pack turns to leave, "Symbols" waving goodbye to Marvin and Hunter as they depart-

Hunter and his team totally fought the Spiritomb. Totally.

Marvin smiles and waves back to "Symbols". <Bye, Symbols!>

Hunter gives the Lucario and Riolu a small wave, then turns to his bag and starts looking through it to make sure he still has all of his stuff.
