-Doppelganger!Nadia takes the hit-

<Doppelganger!Nadia: "OW!">

-And takes the opportunity of the close quarters to attempt to hit the Murkrow with Fire Blast from close range as it absconds with the ring-

<Doppelganger!Nadia: "Did I ever tell you that I hate cheap moves? Now you know!">

Against Call

-the Murkrow drops the ring-

Murkrow: -with swirly eyes- <noooo~ boss won't like this...>

Kessie: -matter-of-factly- <She looks nice.>

Okay, who else would like to meet her...oh! How about Fleece?

-releases Fleece-

Fleece, this is Molniya. She's a Blitzle, from Unova, and she just hatched.

Fleece: -waves timidly at her- <H-hello. Nice to meet you.>

-Cirrus snickers and starts flying back to Every-

Molniya produces a bit of Static around Fleece.

Fool: Oh! The presence of another electric type has got her to use her own Electric stores~

Arena - Now-ish

-Doppelganger!Nadia grabs the ring and begins to fly over to Call-

-Our newest addition to the team is in a dark void-

<Andre: "Where... Where am I?">

-And the image of several other Larvitar in a box appears-

<Andre(?): "... What happened? Why are we here?">

<Random!Larvitar #1: "Oh... So you got boxed too...">

<Andre(?): "Boxed? But... Aren't... Isn't... What about that human...? I thought she was supposed to be our trainer... Our friend...">

<Random!Larvitar #2: "If she is, she's not a very good one... I've been here for months!">

<Andre(?): "But... But why?">

-Seeing this whole scene-

<Andre: "Ungh!">

-The scene fades out to another, in the same box-

<Andre(?): "... There's more of us...? But... Why are they all here?">

<Random!Larvitar #3: "They're here because they weren't strong enough...">

<Andre(?): "So... If we were stronger... Then our trainer would pay attention to us?">

<Random!Larvitar #3: "Er... I guess... But good luck with that... I mean, look at that prankster guy. And he's here with the rest of us... How could you possibly top him?">

<Andre(?): "I'll... I'll train... Training will make me stronger...">

<Andre: "Urgh... Please... Just leave me alone...">

-The scene melts out and reforms into one from earlier that day-

<Andre: "Well gee, lady, sorry to make you jealous!">

<Francis: "Of what?! Being a stubby little rock-lizard that's too weak to be able to fend off some random punks?">

-This last phrase reverberates a number of times-

<Andre: "No... Please... Don't!">

-Francis' form begins to mutate into a shadowy, exaggerated form of a Tyranitar-

<???: "That's what you are at your core, aren't you? Just a jealous little punk who can't accept that if others knew who you really were, they might not give you a minute of their time... To care about you... To love you...">

<Andre: "Stop it! Just stop!">

<Toothless: "Are you alright?">

-The void melts away into a hotel room, with a certain Salamence doll nearby-

<Toothless: "Er... You seemed troubled... And you heard me earlier, so... What's on your mind?">

Fleece: -toddles over to Molniya and pets her flank-

Present

Molniya whinnies and shakes her head.

Fool: I think she's getting used to Fleece!

-Noticing that everyone else in the room is asleep, barring Francis, who is gazing at stars-

<Andre: "Where... Who are you?">

<Toothless: "Look left. Also, don't you remember? I was the one who suggested your name...">

-And looks left, and sees Toothless-

<Andre: "How... How are you talking? And are you that voice that I've been hearing all day?">

<Toothless: "The one and the same... I'm not fully sure how you can hear me... But I know that you're not the only one... The name's Toothless, by the way...">

<Andre: "... You saw everything didn't you?">

<Toothless: "Eh? I only have that sort of power over Nadia... Why, was there something that I should have noticed? Aside from the fact that you seem really upset over something?">

<Andre: "... Uh... No... No there wasn't...">

<Toothless: "I may not know what it was that troubled you, but I do know that you're lying right now... So come on, be upfront...">

<Andre: "But... If others can understand you... You'll tell them... And they'll know...">

-The very mention of this causes Andre to start to pale-

<Toothless: "You'll keep it in mind, won't you?">

<Toothless: "Alright, but just keep it in mind... I'm there if you need me... And so's Tracer and the others... Even if they're new to you...">

<Francis: "Hey kid, get up.">

<Andre: "Wha-">

-And the room melts again, reforming identically barring the form of Francis appearing before the Larvitar and Toothless resting in the tote around Nadia's neck-

<Francis: "You were fidgeting in your sleep.">

<Andre: "Mmph. Decided that you wanted that fight after all?">

-In an irritated tone-

<Francis: "If you must know, I wanted to apologize for earlier today...">

<Andre: "You... You what?">

<Francis: "Look, I don't like you. I think you're rude, annoying, an idiot, an all-around brat, and I'm fairly certain that there's something that you're hiding from the rest of us... Something that you're putting a mask on to hide... ... And it was wrong of me to be nasty like that to you on your first day on the team.">

<Andre: "Mmph. Good to know...">

-Thinking-

<Francis: "Urgh... Why do I care about the way this punk feels?">

<??? "Because you've always said that you didn't care about the way others saw you because they weren't trustable... Except... You don't really believe that anymore... Do you?">

<Francis: "... So yeah... Sorry if what I said earlier today made you feel like dirt tonight...">

Abel: Well... he considers us our parents... so we'll have to work together to do this.

Jadis: Alright...

Abel: But I don't want to grow too attached, to him or you. I don't think I'm ready for that kind of commitment with you...and as for him, well, before long he'll be HUGE, and even more powerful...

Jadis: But...

Abel: Eh?

Jadis: Never mind...

Abel: You don't have to be that way...

Jadis: What do you mean?

Abel: You let everyone else define who you are and don't stand up for yourself. The main reason I defended you when you smashed that door was because you were doing something that you wanted.

Jadis: That was because I was abused... like you... and to a lesser extent Gilgamesh...

Abel: You were?

Jadis: Yes... my old trainer thought of me as a showpeice too... when I wouldn't fight for him, he left me... I was lucky I found Umbra...

Abel: ... well, will you do me a favor?

Jadis: Yes?

Abel: Try being yourself, finding what you do best. I'm sure it will help you.

Jadis: ...OK.

Abel: -smiles- Thanks.

Fool points to a Female Larvesta in the box. This one seems a slight bit larger than the others in the box. Data says that she's Timid in nature.

Fool: I think I'll take her~

Fleece: -bleats happily-

Think she's ready to meet someone else?

P4: drat. So much for the easy route... though with all the clowns here, it should actually be less attention-grabbing to do this the direct way... -recalls Murkrow-

Against Bob

Mantine: <Ack! No! Must do my job! Take you to trainer!> -takes the Air Cutter and tries to shake Cirrus into compliance, not noticing that the ring is sent flying closer to Every in the process-

-Presses the release button-

Helios: -Excitedly- <A new friend! I'll teach her everything I know about honey gathering!>

Fool: Okay, just one more.

Future.

The Larvesta appears before Fool's eyes.

Fool: Aww~ Come here little one.

Fool is about to pick the Larvesta up, when she shys away from Fool.

Fool: Hey... I don't bite...

Fool carefully & slowly approaches the Larvesta

Fool: I'll take good care of you! Promise!

Fool gentley picks the Larvesta up.

Fool: Hmm! You're a big one! Now what to name you...

Fool starts to stroke the Larvesta, who is becoming used to Fool's presence.
