Lake barrels past several people and Pokémon, trying his best not to crash into anyone before finally reaching Tracer and his team. Exhausted from the effort, he stops, panting.

<Urk...I'm not supposed to move that fast on land...>

He then glances up at Nadia, a worried look on his face.

<Nadia, what's wrong? Is there a problem? Because I can't see anything here...>

Fortree Pokemon Center

Rex: *notices Luke* Oh, hi Lu- *is rushed past* ...Okay...see you later. ;_;

Joey: You still have me!

Rex: Joy.

Fortree City

<Toothless: "Come on, calm down! We're in a town right now! Vent when no one's around!">

-Nadia sees Lake coming towards her-

-Thinking-

<Nadia: "... Please tell me that I haven't been acting the way that I think that I have...">

<Toothless: "Er... Well... It's understandable... But yeah.">

-And has her frustrations melt into a state of emotional paralysis-

-Noticing Nadia going quiet and forming an expression not wholly unlike a Deerling caught in a truck's headlights-

<Zoltan: "What happened?">

<Francis: "Wow, mood swings much?">

Lake notices Nadia's change in expression frowning in concern.

Lake: <Nadia, what's the matter? You sounded really upset a few seconds ago...did something go wro- WHOA!>

Treeo leaps out of a nearby tree, landing right next to Lake.

<...How long were you there for?>

Treeo: <Since before you got here. Sceptile are without equal when it comes to traversing forests, you know.>

Lake: <Oh, right...>

"Okay! Okay, we're here..."

The rest of us show up.

Woolly: <Poor Rex, I fee bad about rushing past him like that...>

Comet: <It's okay, we can always talk later.>

"Hi, Tracer. Been a while since we last spoke. So, is something the matter?"

"Er... Nadia got a little upset with some Pokemon that we couldn't find who were harassing us... And she looked like she needed to vent for a bit... I'm not sure what happened here..."

-To Lake, in a small, timid-sounding voice-

<Nadia: "H-Hi, Lake...">

-Aside-

<Francis: "I don't follow... What's going on...">

<Kat: "I remember something like this a few months ago... I'm not sure if Nadia wanted to Lake to see her like that...">

-Thinking-

<Francis: "So... She slipped up and displayed her true colors... Let's see how this plays out...">

"Oh dear. Sounds like things wew about to get pretty ugly over here. Good thing Lake could tell it was her from where we were."

Lake frowns, now very concerned.

Lake: <I don't really know what's been going on over here, but you seem awfully upset about it. So...would you like to come down here and talk to me about it?>

-notices a Solrock coming toward us- Hey DS? Solrock usually aren't found around Fortree, are they?

-Reluctantly makes a short flight down to Lake-

<Nadia: "Please don't think I'm a monster... I- I was...">

<Toothless: "RELAX! He just wants to talk!">

-And is now by Lake, still with a rather petrified expression-

Rex: *wanders out of the Pokemon Center, somehow managing to miss both Luke and Tracer* I wonder what I should do now?

Joey: Hey, why don't we go watch the Surskit on Route 120?

Rex: What's a Sursk- *pause* Hold on. *pulls out his Pokedex and checks* ...Oh, so that's what Algira used to look like. *puts it away* But what about the Pokeringer thing?

Joey: Don't worry about that. I have a flying type. *sends out Tailow*

Rex: ...err...can that carry both of us?

Articuno!Tailow: <I am a mighty [Articuno!] Carrying people to safety is what I do! :3>

Joey: Don't be fooled by his size. He's stronger than he looks! *recalls him*

Rex: If you say so... By the way, why does your Tailow think it's an Articuno?

Joey: Delusions are very trendy at the moment.

-Recieving the hug, and starting to calm down a bit-

<Nadia: "Yeah... Yeah, that's fine...">

Huh... I guess it probably belongs to someone?

Solrock: (looks around, noticing Tulip) <...?> Is that the Pokémon that fired that Energy Ball? It's a grass type, at least.

-I start walking back through the weird weather of Route 120-

My X-Transceiver beeps, informing me of a new Text message. I bring the device up to eye level to read it, my expression turning into one of utter horror as I do do.

Treeo: <Hmm? what's the matter, Luke?>

Treeo looks over my shoulder, glancing at the device's screen. Due to him being illiterate, however, the text is meaningless to him.

"...Tagg wants to talk."

Those words alone are enough to break his normally calm attitude.

Treeo: <Oh no...>

"...We'll hide in our secret base. He'll never find us there."

Treeo: <...Luke. He has Aura Power. We won't be able to hide from him.>

I glance at the Wood Gecko Pokémon, letting out a sigh.

"...Then we'll have to flee the country."

- Receives the text message -

Huh?

- The Solrock floats back to Sierra while I'm checking the message -

Hmm... Tagg wants to talk... Hey, where'd the Solrock go?

While examining Socrates outside of the Pokemon Center, Fool get's Tagg's message on her Xtransciever.

Fool: Tagg wants to talk?

.+Socrates+: +Whoop! Little red flag goin up!+

Route 120

Rex: *sitting near a pond with Joey, watching some Surskit roam across the top of the water*

Joey: So then my Rattata one-shotted his Dragonair with Facade! True story!

Rex: Wow, that's really cool! You know, I was wrong about you, Joey. You're an okay guy. ...Just don't spam my inbox anymore, alright? >_> *gets a text* Oh, come on! ...Oh, wait, it's from...Tagg. *meeps* I hope it's not anything life-threatening...again.

Joey: *feeds some Surskit*

-Nadia is still cuddled up with Lake-

-Fishes out phone and reads text message-

-A certain Salamence abruptly snaps back to attention-

<Gauss: "About time. I was about to give you a little graze to bring you back to reality.">

-Leering back-

<Doppelganger!Nadia: "Grr... You wouldn't dare do that again!">

<Gauss: "What? It takes practice to be a good shot, you know! I wasn't always the sharpshooter that I was! And I apologized for what happened!">

-Looking a little nervous and seeking to quickly change the topic of conversation-

<Speck: "Er... So what was going on? Were you daydreaming?">

<Doppelganger!Nadia: "... I was in the weirdest place... There was a lot of white... And those things that humans call letters...">

Lake is still cuddling Nadia, feeling very happy as he does so.

Lake: <Feeling better now?>

Meanwhile, I pull my Town Map out.

"I'm not entirely sure, Tracer, but it can't be anything good..."

I glance at the map for a few seconds, then fold it up and place it back in my bag.

"So...how about we spend the day in Alto Mare?"

Stratus: <Yay! I've been there before! They have the best Pizza and Ice Cream there...>
