- Thinks back to Sinnoh, both timelines, before turning my attention to the next set of memories -

DS' mindscape

- After checking on a couple of things within the mindscape, Curiousity and another unknown aspect are sitting in the hall of DS' memories, watching two memories. One memory shows DS fighting Giratina and successfully calming it down, followed by Cyrus giving an omnious warning -

- The other shows DS fighting Giratina, only for Giratina to suddenly go out of control. Giratina's black tendrils fly at AU!DS, before everything goes dark. The next thing shown is AU!Cynthia carrying her out of there, with AU!DS' cheek bleeding, although there are possible other wounds not visible due to the angle it is shown. Cynthia and the injured AU!DS watch in horror as the Distortion spreads -

Curiousity: ... Any luck figuring out what went wrong the second time?

Unknown aspect: (appears to be slightly older than Inner Child. She is not showing much emotion) Not yet.

Curiousity: Clearly, we must've done something different from what the other us did. Can you see any differences between the memories leading up to this?

Unknown aspect: (looks up at Curiousity, but doesn't make eye contact) I will keep checking for any slight difference that could've changed the outcome.

Curiousity: (nods) Okay, I'll leave it to you. Just remember, if anyone from the outside shows up, hide.

Unknown aspect: (nods) Right.

-watching the memories-

Steven: -is trying to pay more attention to the edges of the memory-

Curator: That's the Under. An underground city that was beneath Pyrite Town, and an even more Wretched Hive than the place above it.

And it's our next destination.

Rex: Huh... *confused as to what Orre is*

Rex's Mindscape

Female!Rex: *trussed up a smidgen on the tight side on the couch; also has tape over her mouth, but not her nose* Mmph!

Kim: I'm not really sure how I got out of that...but I suppose it doesn't matter. Right now, I just need to get out of here. *wanders over to the stairs...before noticing something in the kitchen*

Knowledge!Rex: *fiddling with the Rubik's Cube still*

Kim: ... *walks over to the kitchen* ... *hovers over him ominously*    ...   

Knowledge!Rex: *gulps and looks up, sensing danger* ...M-may I help you?

Kim: Is there any reason...why you sat there and watched her tie me up...   and you did NOTHING?   

Knowledge!Rex: ...there's no correct answer to this, is there?

Kim: *cracks knuckles*

Knowledge!Rex: Oh no.

Tagg's Mindscape

Rex: ...? *gets the feeling that Kim has been working out recently*

Curator: -To Rex- It's a desert region on the same continent as Unova. Wild Pokemon are rarer than water, and Cipher rules the roost.

Female!Rex: *tied up*

Knowledge!Rex: *unconscious on the floor*

Kim: *drinks some juice from the refrigerator* Mmm, that's yummy.

Spinda!Rex: *blissfully unaware of everything except how cuddly his Pokemon are*

In Ever Grande City

-A certain uncannily familiar Salamence is walking along with the rest of a 6-mon party and their trainer-

<Doppelganger!Nadia: "... Thibodaux?">

<Thibodaux: "Er... Yeah?">

<Doppelganger!Nadia: You remember those mons we met a couple days ago?">

<Thibodaux: "The Sandslash and the others? What about them?">

<Doppelganger!Nadia: "Do you suppose that we'll bump into them?">

<Rawk Hawk: "Meh. What are the odds of that?">

<Doppelganger!Nadia: "I never knew that you and Thibodaux suddenly switched bodies, Rawk Hawk.">

<Thibodaux: "Well, he might have a point... Hoenn's a pretty big region...">

<Doppelganger!Nadia: "Yeah... I guess...">

Kim: *heads up the stairs after raiding the fridge, leaving the other two aspects behind* Rex sure is weird. At least he hides it well... *enters his room, frowning at all of the incomplete things* ...Or not... *heads into the nearby portal, deciding to worry about it later*

Dana: -purring contentedly from her perch on Crewe's chest-

Basil: -sleeping on the floor next to them-

Max: -curled up around Basil, with his bushy tail serving as a sort of blanket-

Kessie: -perched on Katie's head, chattering happily to her about the story her mom told her before bed last night-

Katie: -listening to Kessie tell her story, and continuing her clean-up of the room-

7 Years Ago: The Under

-This starts playing out of nowhere-

Curator: So it was that we, being young and naive, happened to explore this place. It also happened to be the first time we ran into Cipher...

Past!Tagg: -Happens to be walking through the streets- This place seems even worse than Pyrite above it.

I never knew there was a underground city in Orre.

Curator: Common theme of our life Every, nothing ever does end well.

Muddy: <Did we really have to go to this place?>

Forecaster: <Yeah, it's really creepy.>

Past!Tagg: -Hears noise- Quiet guys, there's something going on behind this wall. Muddy, a leg up please.

-Some Cipher Peons happen to be in the middle of battling some other trainers-

Inside Mirage Tower [1F]

Sol is happily walking back to the entrance of the tower with the [✯star] when she smells something.

Sol: <Yuck! Two days...> — shakes head, rushes outside.

Inside Mirage Tower [3F]

Lugaid steps back as he watches Luke climb up; Silent and Maekrite lose sight of him so they wait for a moment to check what is going on.

Magma Boss Lugaid: "So, these are the people who have come here and disrupt our operation..." Examines Luke's group of mons. "This might turn out problematic... or revealing."

He steps ahead and motions Luke to stop with his mons as well.

"Might you tell me why have you come here and interrupted Team Magma's operation? We've been very careful about protecting this desertic region!"

Inside Mirage Tower [4F]

The watcher is watching from the highest part of the tower, covered in desert guerilla camo.

Watcher: "I'm bored."

-Salamence is poking Slam- <Slaaaam!>

Slam: <zzz...>

Salamence: <Slaaaam!>

Slam: <Zzz...>

Salamence: -pecks Slam- <I want my bath~>

-Slam yawns- <Go away...>

Salamence: <No!>

Slam: <I'm trying to sleep, okay?> -sprays Salamence with a mild Scald- <Go away.> -rolls over and sleeps-

Comet: <Yeah, this guy definitely looks like the brains of this operation to me.>

Chord: <State the obvious, why don't you.>

-A bit nervous.- "Oh, well...I'm not entirely sure what you've got going on around here, but after the last time you guys tried to expand the landscape, it didn't exactly go well. Meaning that we don't really trust you or those Team Aqua people to make another attempt at it.

So, er...if you don't mind, could you stop...please?"

Chord: *Forelegpalms.* <And this is from the guy who brought down Team Rocket...>

Silent feels like facepalming for some reason.

Lugaid: "Stop? Really? Haven't you seen the damage Team Aqua is causing? We haven't been doing anything wrong, on the contrary," — points to some of the boxes lying around — "we were here collecting evidence about Team Aqua's attempts to manipulate weather to flood this desert and other areas of Hoenn."

The boss produces two Pokéballs from his pockets.

Lugaid: "You had to ruin most of it, certainly, but at least you've been honorable about it. Heck, you look like you could fit Team Magma if it weren't for that." points to Lake. "So... you don't really expect we just lose all we've worked for and walk away, right?"

A buzzing sound starts entering the building from the machines beyond the plank.

Salamence's Wing

Shahinne and Golbat Dragonair are finishing fighting the last remnants of the bug forces, when they start hearing a tremor coming from beyond the horizon.

Ledyba: <...What is that?>

Spinarak Leader: <It's very loud, it's like a... a... a rockslide? Or a...>

The two bugs turn to look towards the direction of the sound, and they see a large light-blue wall raging in from beyond the horizon.

Spinarak: <O_O RUUUUUUUUNNNNN!!!!!!!> — turns tails and flees.

Joltiks: <...eeeeeeeeeeeep!> — do so as well.

Ledyba: <We can fly!> — do so.

Going somewhere for a bit.
