Rex: *gets closer to the roots, poking at them gently with his sword*

Comet: <...Why do you ask?>

-I take out the crossbow-

Ohm: *would like to answer Odette, but is too busy trying to keep Sulfur from eating Rex's things* <Cut it out, you!> *drops the Shahinne Plushie somewhere near Woolly*

-the root comes up and grabs rex-

Blue!Star: !! -goes to cut Rex free but is hit with another root-

-A stream of vines shoot out of the cave-

- Odette pauses for a moment, wondering if she should tell them what happened the other day -

Odette: <Um... I... I've just been thinking about some things these last few days...>

Jillian: -curls into a ball and rolls over to Odette- <Like what?>

Rex: Aaaah, tentacles! *hacks at the root that is grabbing him* Go back to Japan where you belong! D:<

Aqua: *goes over to Odette to listen*

-Considers shooting but realises that tiny crossbow bolts aren't going to do much to a tentacle and switches to a blueish hatchet-

"Oh, is this about what happened to you the other day with the Seviper?"

Chord: <No. Because nearly being eaten doesn't make you think deeply about your life.> *Beat.* <What do you think?>

"Alright, alright. No need to be snarky..."

Comet: <Hmm...> *Goes over to Odette, getting ready to voice her opinion while the others have had there turn.*

Woolly: <Hmm?> *Picks up the Shahinne plushie.* <Aww, cute...>

Come on guys, pull out a lightsaber or something! Something that burns!

-I switch to a flaming katana and start slashing away at the branches-

Odette: <Well, sort of... I was talking to Octavia, after Thunderbolt got hurt by the Sevipers while defending me, and she told me something that... Basically, I'm trying to figure out if Dream World Pokémon are as real as other Pokémon... So far, those I've asked seem to agree that we are, but I'd still like some more opinions on the subject.>

Jillian: -pats Odette- <You seem pretty real to me.>

Aqua: <Oh, I went to the Dream World before!> *nuzzles Odette* <I like the Dream World. And you seem nice too! :3> *has no idea what a DW Pokemon is*

Comet: <Oh...so you're wondering whether Dream World Pokémon are truly real or not then, right.>

-Comet shifted uncomfortably on the spot, the subject of the conversation hitting a bit too close to home for her.

As much as she wanted to tell Odette the truth, she really didn't want to let everyone else know about her origins. It wasn't the sort of thing that you tended to tell peoplemons about so soon after meeting them.

There was something she could say, though.-

Comet: <Odette...I can't tell you the meaning of life. Nobody can. Well, apart from maybe Arceus, but what are the chances of meeting him?>

Treeo: <...Should we?>

Lake: *Shakes his head.*

Comet: <The thing is, that if you spend your life worrying death and what life means, then you're wasting time that could be spent living! So...what I'm saying is that there's no point worrying about things like this. The only thing you should worry about is living life to the fullest. That's how I do it.>

Chord: <And "living life" to you means "constantly trying to get myself killed"?>

Comet: <...> *To Odette.* <Don't listen to him. He's obviously a grouch.>
