-So it was either put up with Sonny or Courtney for a while, or have Tracer risk his life riding Zoltan...-

"Perhaps you could give Zoltan a try?"

“Oh?”

The Spinda ears shook a little, ducking down behind the couch cushions. Then, without warning, a playful roar sounded from behind the couch, a shape darting over the furniture. He landed in front of the group and grinned widely, wobbling his ears. A close look revealed that it was merely a boy in a Spinda costume, the youth grinning cheekily at the people in front of him. He peered at them curiously for a moment before waving excitedly.

Spinda!Rex: Hi! I’m a Pokémon. :3

Hehe... Hey there.

Stratus: <Oh! Luke, wait!>

"Huh? What is it Strat-" *Blinks.* "...Oh, I'm so stupid. I can just send you over to get him!"

Stratus: *Nods.* <Yep! That's the idea!>

"Will you be able to find him?"

Stratus: <Of course I will!>

-The Dragonite flaps over to the window and opens it.-

Comet: <Oh, can I go with him again?>

"Er...not after yesterday, sorry."

Comet: <Aww! You're not fun...>

Stratus: <...Right. I'll be back in a minute!>

-Stratus then flies out, off to Lavaridge.-

"Okay, hang on Tracer. I've sent Stratus to get you."

Five Minutes later...

Stratus: <Where is it...where is it...Oh!>

-The Dragonite knocks on the window to Tracer's room gently.-

Spinda!Rex: Oh, I know you guys! You’re my friends! …Well, Rex’s friends. But I’m Rex too~

He laughed, rolling into a handstand and falling flat on his back.

Spinda!Rex: Wumph!

He stood up, flapping his arms happily as he ran around the group, stopping in front of DS suddenly.

Spinda!Rex: Hey hey! What kind of Pokémon do you like?

He ran over to Casval next, tugging on his shirt.

Spinda!Rex: I like all kinds!

He then made his way over to Pentigan, hopping into his trenchcoat and closing it around them both.

Spinda!Rex: *slightly muffled* We play lots of games together!

He crawled from underneath, moving back over to the couch’s back and giggling happily.

Spinda!Rex: Pokémon are so great! I love all of mine so much. Rascal, Fang, Gaea, Breezy, Ohm, Krystal, Anya, Alfonse, Laplace, Lian, Spathi, Dahlia, Mantisk, Zippy, Yuki, Pandora, Claudia, Naga, Sulfur, Minty, Jemma, Damian, Masque, and Rampage! Aqua too, even though she’s not technically mine. And Shahinne, even though I only had her for a short time.

He seemed proud of himself for remembering all of their names, clapping happily.

Spinda!Rex: They’re all so precious to me…I could never give them away, you know? I would be too sad. Sometimes, I still think about that Farfetch’d I traded for Lian. I wonder if I would’ve done that trade if I had gotten to know him beforehand…

He shook those memories away, focusing on the group again.

Spinda!Rex: What do you guys think? You like my Pokémon, right?

Well, I like all kinds of Pokémon, although I do admit I might have a soft spot for Eevee, Espeon and few other species...

Oh, and yes, I do like all your Pokémon, even though I haven't really gotten to know them all yet.

<9-Volt: "... Maybe some names would jog your memory... The trainer's Carol, the Grovyle's Fern, Beatrice is the Illumise, Amelia's the Skarmory... And I'm 9-Volt...">

<Vektor: "I mean... I've heard of those names before... But that was only because someone told me about them...">

<Amelia: "Okay, this is majorly weird...">

Carol: "... What's going on here?"

<Beatrice: "... You mean this all actually happened, 9-Volt?">

<Vektor: "But... Then... Why don't I remember anything about it?">

<9-Volt: "I don't know... But... I wanted to apologize for the way that I treated you when we last met... You had enough on your mind at the time... You didn't need me hounding you like that...">

Carol: "... Have we met this Pokemon before, 9-Volt? He seems familiar to you..."

<Vektor: "... Okay... I guess...">

<9-Volt: "And... I was wondering... If Carol and that Sandslash that you're with were alright with it... Would you mind staying with us for a while?">

-Starting to get nervous-

<Vektor: "Uh...">

<Sandslash: "I don't mind if you stay. It seems like someone's missed you.">

<Lake: "Yeah, we'd understand.">

<Vektor: "But... You won't like me...">

<9-Volt: "Why not? I mean, it's not as if your background could possibly be any worse than that other you, right?">

<Vektor: "Because... Because... I'm not normal...">

<Fern: "... So?">

<Amelia: "Yeah, we're not exactly paragons of normalcy ourselves here...">

<9-Volt: "The other you that I knew wasn't normal himself... And, he seemed like he was alright for a mon... Once I stopped to think about it... So what do you think? Would you like to stay with us? It doesn't need to be for very long... And if you don't want to, I won't force you...">

Carol: "... I really wished that I could have understood that..."

Spinda!Rex: Yay! I’m so glad you like them! They’re all so precious to me. Even Jemma! Sure, she’s kind of rough around the edges, but she’s really sweet. She saved me from some Deltas and said that I’m precious property! …She’s still kind of weird, though. >_>

He sat on his rear, putting one of his faux paws to his lips.

Spinda!Rex: But, umm…if you like specific Pokémon I have…that means you have favorites, right? And a favorite is something you like more!

He looked up at them curiously, his eyes drifting over to a certain blue-haired girl.

Spinda!Rex: Like…Mezzo, you like Dark-types, right? That means they’re probably your favorite!

He smiled at her, waving his paw in joy at seeing she was doing well.

Spinda!Rex: But, uhh…if you have a favorite type…wouldn’t that mean you have a least favorite type? Like, if you like Dark-types, wouldn’t you hate types that can hurt Dark-types better? And what about types Dark-types are strong against? Does that mean you like them more because they’re easier targets?

He looked over at DS, seeing as she seemed to be the de-facto voice for the group at the moment.

Spinda!Rex: What do you think?

Stratus: *Nods.* <It sure has. Which is a shame, we all missed you...> *Shakes his head.* <But that doesn't matter! Come on, I'll get you to Fallarbor in no time!>

-Stratus turns around and bends down so that Tracer can climb on him easily.-

Stratus: <Oh, I did bring something to eat for you on the flight, but...I got hungry and ate it on the way here.> *Grins awkwardly.* <Sorry!>

Hmm... Well, there aren't really any Pokémon I dislike... I admit, Alomomola kind of creeps me out, with those eyes and hand thingies... but, I don't really dislike it for that. It has its strengths and weaknesses like all Pokémon do.

-Afer clearing away some fallen obscura on the ground, Noir slips into the Portal to Rex's Mind-

Yeah, I like Dark types. Fighting types are kind of annoying for me, but I don't really dislike them per se.

Spinda!Rex: Oh, yay! We feel the same~

He went over to Mezzo, giving her waist a hug, doing the same for Crewe and DS as well. He started to do the same for Fool, but noticed the odd look on her face and thought better of it.

Spinda!Rex: I’m just curious as to what the best way to take care of my Pokémon is. You guys are all so experienced…and I’m just Rex.

He sighed unhappily, looking a lot less cheerful suddenly.

Spinda!Rex: Maybe my Pokémon would be better off with trainers like you. Before I caught Masque, he beat me and Rascal. But then in our first match together we lost…

He wandered away from the group, looking down at the floor sadly.

Spinda!Rex: I wonder if my Pokémon are truly happy with me. It’s like…I was thinking about nicknames and stuff the other day. I always wondered why they were called “nicknames”. If it’s just a nickname, does that mean that we’re erasing the original Pokémon’s self to fit in with our own desires? Or…if it’s their true name, maybe we’re forcing ourselves into the center of their world.

He sighed, shaking his head.

Spinda!Rex: What is best for my Pokémon…?

Before the group’s very eyes, he faded away, nothing remaining where he once stood.

???: Oh, hello! When did you all get here?

From out of a side room came another person, a female this time. Despite that fact, she was still wearing Rex’s clothes, looking more along the lines of a female Rex than an older sister. Were anyone aware, they would realize it was the form that Rex assumed briefly when he had fooled around with the Genderchange Amulet.

Female!Rex: Hello, everyone! I’m so glad to see you all are okay…relatively speaking. Oh, and Mezzo is here too! I know someone’s happy about that.

She grinned at Every, giving him a playful wink.

Female!Rex: Anyway, I’m sure you’re all exhausted from all those mindscapes you’ve been wandering through. I can make you some snacks if you want.
